Dear Sameer,
It has been 45 days since I gave sulph 200c to my son. He had very good progress until we traveled. He has shown the following symptoms since we came here. Could you please kindly let me know what I should do for his condition.

1. he falls sleep really hard, even for afternoon naps. He has pretty intense jerks and starts, to the point that it makes him wake up and sometimes waking up looking around worried and frientened. The whole body would jump when he has those jerks. Sometimes just the arm. These starts and jerks happen anytime during his sleep, at the beginning, in the middle of his sleep anytime.
2. after he falls into sleep, at the very beginning he would open his eyes (sometimes just one, sometimes both) almost in half. This happened several times until he falls into deep sleep.
3. he had only 1 incident of sleep walking a few nights ago. I can explain this more if you think it is necessary.
4. he wakes up several times to check if I am there, as a result I decided to let him sleep in our bed. This way at least both of us can sleep smoother than when he sleeps in his bed. Every time he wakes up he wants me to hug him and the hug means he would put his head in contact with my head/face and want my arm (sometimes both arms) be wrapped around him.
5. he has bowel movement every 3-4 days. I had no choice but to use castor oil (so far twice) for him. It looks like that he hesitates to poop because the stool is very hard.
6. his skin is very dry nowadays. His cheeks are dry as if there is a white powder on them.
7. he craves and consumes a LOT of sweet stuff whenever he gets a chance.
8. he has become very critical about doing his errands as well as ours (those that we can use his help). If by mistake or by intention we take care of something he would cry and scream like crazy. Sometimes we have to reverse the action so that he can do it. If it is not reversible then he would cry and after stop crying he would constantly ask us why did you hit the button? (for example). It would be very hard to stop him unless we can find something very interesting and new to distract him.
9. in general recently he cries easily. With one exception which is really odd to me: when he bumps into something either he would keep his cry and just hide himself in my lap or he would burst into cry after he hide himself in my lap.
10. he grinds his teeth, in sleep and when awake.
11. every now and then he would check to see if I am present or not. I really don’t understand why and how he got this attitude but for whatever reason he has become very very dependent to me (and nobody else). When he is playing with somebody else including his dad suddenly in the middle of play he would say I want to see mommy.
12. for the first 10 days of our trip he so missed our home and especially his toys. Still after 3 weeks he would ask me to go back although not as often as before.

Please not that he interacts with people with no problem at all. Sometimes maybe shy at first but then he would become very friendly and talks to them with no hesitation. Also he plays with other kids in a healthy way. He doesn’t play by himself any more.

As always I appreciate your time. Please let me know if you need more info.

There are 2 choices, one is repeating a higher dose of Sulphur and other is going to Calcarea Carb.

So, what have been the benefits on Sulphur overall ?

sameervermani last decade
if we try calc-c first, then can we continue with sulph if needed?
if yes, then I prefer calc-c first because honestly I have never used higher than 200c for him and I don't feel comfortable with 1M for him.
I understand this could be a wrong decision that is why I asked my first question.

beth2006 last decade
This is not the way we make decisions, and Sulph cannot be given after Calc Carb.

So, what have been the benefits on Sulphur overall ?

sameervermani last decade
Sulph definitely had very good effects on his sleeping habit (which all of them are back now). At the time I gave him 200, he had a few issues that was resolved. The only thing that has been there for such a long time is his bowel movement. It didn’t have any effect on his bowel movement. Overall sulph had good effects on him.

beth2006 last decade
What was the highest potency of Calcarea that was given to him ?

sameervermani last decade
it was 15c in may 2009.

beth2006 last decade
Give a single dose of Calcarea 30c then, and report after 1 week please.

Hi Sameer,
It has been 2 weeks since calc-c for my son. For the first week after calc-c I couldn’t see any changes in him but right now his condition is as follow:

1. his bowel movement is better meaning now he poops every 2 days at most (instead of 3-4 days). But the problem is that sometimes his stool is very hard and dry and other times it is very soft but kind of muddy and sticky. As a result in both cases he is having a hard time for expelling the stool. I have a feeling that he is suffering from bashful stool as well. Because every time he pushes and strains the stool won’t expel. For example he has been trying to poop since yesterday but so far no luck (Specially every time he laughs he feels the urge to poop). This is happening while his diet is still full of fiber (e.g. yesterday he had beans and vegetables and 2 whole oranges). I am not sure if I can blame his constipation on milk but FYI he drinks a LOT of milk. Also sometimes he poops and the stool would be just one small hard ball. When he doesn’t poop for 2 days he would become very very clingy and sensitive and sometime really annoying.

2. if we would be only 2 of us at home, he would follow me every where, even when I am taking shower he would sit at the door and wants to see me every 5-10 minutes. He would be ok if he is busy playing with somebody whom he likes to play with.

3. he sleeps much better, without any jerk or start which is great. He sleeps through night without wanting me to hug him. Please note that still he wants me to hug him when he wants to go to sleep. He wakes up at 7 very hungry so either he drinks a bottle of milk or he would wake up and will have his breakfast. He used to wake up crying but I talked to him and now since 2 days ago every time he wakes up and he wants to start crying I just remind him and he would stop it.

4. I have a feeling that recently he feels insecure because he takes advantage if every opportunity to be in my lap or want me to tell him nice words and hug him.

On a separate note I just want to mention that I stop giving pacifier to him since 4 days ago.

Also do you recommend castor oil for a week or two so that his bowel movement becomes regular? His bowel movement becomes such a big issue for him.

Thank you,
Beth

beth2006 last decade
Beth,

I don't think you need to give Castor Oil.

Please give a small dose of 200c Calcarea carb.

1 pellet in 500 ml spring water, and just 1/2 teaspoon from there.

Report in 2 weeks.

Hi Sameer,
Since 3 days ago my son has become very angry. It is because of an incident of my angry unfair behavior towards him 3 days ago. He doesn’t listen to me anymore. He does things that he is not supposed to and he knows he is not supposed. He intentionally does things to make me angry. When he gets angry he cries and screams from the top of his lungs. He bites his clothes. He grinds his teeth like crazy specially in sleep. He doesn’t sleep well. He tosses and turns a lot sometimes every 2 minutes. He has become extremely clingy when we are only 2 of us at home. During sleep he wants me to hug him several times. Sometimes if I move him during sleep he would wake up crying and screaming and kicking. Also he doesn’t share his toys as much as he used to share before. And finally since this morning he has cold symptoms. Watery eyes, lots of sneeze, stuffed nose except for night when the nose becomes clear and he can breath through nose. Red, dry upper lip. He also craves cold drinks.
Please let me know what I should do.

I really appreciate your quick response.

Hi Beth,

Did you give him Calc 200 dose or you didnt yet ?

sameervermani last decade
not yet. Please let me know if I should give him calc-c 200. I thought I should let you know his new condition before I give it to him.
Many thanks

beth2006 last decade
Hi Beth,

Please go ahead with Calc dose.

sameervermani last decade
Dear Sameer
it has been 2 weeks since calc-c 200 dose for my son. here is the report:

1. the weirdest thing ever about him: he has fear of height and somehow bugs. he doesn't play slide anymore, only the small and short ones!!! he used to enjoy sliding from high slides very much. yesterday he saw a mosquitoes and he was shaking his hand like crazy to repel it at the same time running back.

2. he has a very sweaty head during sleep specially the first hour.

3. he has a pale face and kind of cold hands and to some extend cold feet. hands are colder than feet.

4. he has jerks but totally different than before. the whole body has a sudden move and he won't wake up.

5. his bowel movement is like the first part of the stool hard and then soft and then kind of watery.

6. he doesn't sleep good. he sleeps in his bed only if I sleep besides him and then after 2 hours he would wake up and want me to be beside him. as a result every night around 2 am I have to bring him to our bed. he doesn't sleep deep. on the other hand please note that he falls sleep very fast like in 5 minutes as oppose to before which was 30 minute at least.

7. he doesn't act as smart as he is. sometimes when he can't do things after first try he would cry and want somebody else to do it for him. in general he cries easily.

8. he wipes his mouth after each and every scoop/sip.

9. he is less clingy and plays by himself for a few minutes.

10. still grinding his teeth.

11. this morning he woke up with a swollen upper lip.

12. in general he doesn't socialize with kids like he used to before.

the most important issue right now is that my son is stuttering. it has been a month or so but I really wasn't sure if it was stuttering or just a matter of synchronizing the speed of thought and speech. apparently this is stuttering and since 2 days ago it is getting worse. it happens only with the first syllable of the first word of the sentence. it doesn't happen with all his sentences. he repeats the first syllable 3,4, sometimes 5 times like momomomomommy. before this stuttering he had incidents of repeating words, the whole word: like why why why does that happen?
if you ask me about the start day I can't say when exactly it started but for sure less than 2 months. I am not sure about the real cause but I can think of these incidents:
1. I stopped giving him his pacifier about 3 weeks ago. it was hard for him for the first 5-6 nights but I encouraged him with a present for each and every day.
2. there was an incident of me hitting him on his head and back and kind of harsh words. he was so scared at the time and he was trying to hide himself in my lap. I tried to apologize immediately after the incident . I don't know why and how I lost my control, I remember that I was exhausted and tired to death and had a lot of emotional pressure on myself from my mom. anyhow, very sad and shameful but true.

Thank you,
Beth

two quick questions:

6c in 500 ml of water or in 250 ml of water?

Hi Sameer,
This morning I lifted my son when suddenly my back muscles cramped and spasmed to the point that I coudln't even breath normally for a few seconds. now I cannot breath deeply, I cannot sneeze, I cannot bend and the list goes on. Can you please advise something for me? I forgot to mention it is the left side and middle back not upper or lower.

many thanks
Beth

beth2006 last decade
Dear Sameer,
It has been 5 days since lyc 6c for my son. Before further reporting I have to thank you much for your attention and your courtesy. You are amazing.

The stuttering is almost gone, maybe 2-3 times per day. I am sooooooo relevied and happy for this.

Do you want me to report for other issues as well or do we wait more for now?

Thanks a million,
Beth

beth2006 last decade
Sameer,
the stuttering is back not as frequent as before though. there are some other issues with him like:

1. he doesn't communicate with people anymore. he just hide himself around me. not even with kids.

2. again we have bowel movement problem. every 3-4 days.

3. when he goes to sleep he would cover his eyes with his hands!!!!

that is the most important ones.

please let me know what to do.

thanks a lot
beth
