It is slmost two weeks.
As I posted (elsewhere) my mother had said 2-3 days ago that my father seemed 'udaas', dull/upset/depressed, etc. and he wouldn't speak much.
My father told me 3 days ago that he had been taking Zinetac (ranitidine) for about 10 days. I scolded him a little that he did not tell me. I mean I had told him to take any allopathic medicine that suited him but only he should inform me so that when I wrote here, it should be known.
Now he has stopped.
Today I asked him how he felt. He said that problem of 'gases' was still there in less intensity. 'The stomach feels filled after eating...' is what he added. There has been some improvement in his problems of digestion but they are continued. His sneezing is about the same.
In 2-3 days there will be lot of Diwali activity and he is going to be concerned mentally as well as physically face more problems.
Sameer ji, please suggest what next.

To be frank I am running out of ideas here. I am limited by an internet setting and I cannot talk to the patient directly as well.
Please continue with a good local homeopath. I cannot think of anything else.

It is already very kind of you to have taken up the case and tried so well. And I am really so thankful and grateful to you.
You take the case considering that it should be possible to treat and you do it in the best possible way. At the same time you are already aware of limitations if internet and forum and I understand that.
abchomeopathy forum including yourself have shown that instead of just diverting cases for lack of personal contact, remedies could still be suggested safely by careful study of details of patients. In any case the patient was going to go for 'not so better' options like excessive allopathy or such homeopathy not based on sound principles.
So it was perhaps better to try for homeopathic treatment via forum - to the extent possible.
I come back to my father's case. Please note from my previos posts that he had expressed 'measureable' improvment after the last dose, Arg. Nitr. 200c. There has been a very long gap so that effect of remedy must have come down. My concern in recent posts was more from the view point of decline rather than saying that my father didn't improve at all.
In short, he is not doing too badly.
Before we consider a local homeopath (and I do not see any good one) I request you that we should give a try for next action following Arg. Nitr. 200c. It will be worth it.
Please advise if we should go for next potency (1M or LM) and how.

Even if your suggested remedy is not the closest similimum it will do better than anything else we try in the immediate future (since we do not know of a better homeopath and also my father might be forced to take more allopathy for relief).

I told my father yesterday that our doctor is finding it difficult to treat from remote location.
He suddenly added, 'That's ok...As such I am ok, troubles are less...'
May be when parents are in trouble, I am too sensitive.
Perhaps they are much better then?
Anyway, Sameer Sir, please continue for us and advise further on this input.

I phoned him from office and asked properly whether he felt better from the earlier (series of) medicines in the beginning or whether in the past 1 month.
He replied that he has felt better from recent medicine (Arg-n).
I probed 'But how do you feel mentally...'
He gave same earlier reply that '...no question of 'mind'. If the stomach is not good, I do not feel good and if it is, I feel good...Recently I have more relief....gases are still there...but still I am much better....'
My interpretation- He is better from Arg-n.

He also sneezes a lot at times.
My feeling is to continue on line of Arg. Nitr. Maybe higher potency or maybe any natural follower. Whatever you suggest.
We should consider that he was better by Arg. Nitr. 200 in some way.

Please give him a dose of Arg-n 1M in water, 1 drop in 250 ml, and 1 spoon from there.

My father said few minutes ago that he had 50% relief. When I said, 'You already had that much relief...' so he added,
'Yes but in between again the trouble had increased....',
'So, now the problem has again come down to about 50%...'
'Yes...that's about it...50% it is ok...'
Sameer Sir, cases of our family members would be one of the toughest I guess. All of them (our cases) together show inter-relations and make it complex also but all together make situation more known to be able to handle them.

By chance I wanted to post here but it is 3 weeks too.
Sameer Sir, may I say that there has been 'stablity' and 'settlement' in condition of my father, rather than call it 'improvement'. But 'improvement' is also quite correct choice.
In past 7 days his belching has been on rise and sneezing. Esp. today (as if his sixth sense knew that 3 weeks have passed..!!) I found him belching much. Burping is also on rise.
I am highly incline to procure Argentum Nitricum LM1 and LM2 at the earliest. By the time it comes, he will really need it I guess.

How is his behaviour, any improvements there ? Any improvement in the fact that he used to make strange 'irrational' objections to certain things ?

In his approach to others' comments, in his own comments, I cannot say 'improvement' exactly but I observe 'change'. I prefer to call it 'improvement' even if is very less.
He still gets upset and becomes silent when we object to him, but it is more obvious and not 'hidden'....and as I said, there is some change in his attitude.
One last thing. I did not find him extremely slow after Arg. Nitr. Nor did I find him stiff in lower back.

Two days ago my father had burping and he said with an upset face, 'Oh, the problem just doesn't leave me...'
Today again I saw him muttering to himself after an expulsion of gas by burping, 'Yeh dakaar kyon aatee rahatee hai, pataa nahee...'.
