This is just a forum. Assume posts are not from medical professionals.
i come across a number of homeopaths who give homeo remedies for two weeks, one month or even for years, of course not to treat acute diseases; and i myself have wondered at the long duration required for homeopathic cure of a disease.
could you explain this for me? is this classical homeopathic method or mere money making method?
i think it would be more fruitful if more than one member could respond to this doubt of mine.

Actually, giving a medicine for months is a wrong method . The homeopaths that do this are not classical homeopaths. And, yes, a part of it is money making where they charge for '2 months worth of medicine ' or '6 months worth of medicine'.
We give just 2-3 doses of a low potency or a single dose of a high potency and then wait and watch.
I point you to the Organon (which is the most fundamental book on homeopathy , written by the founder of homeopathy, Hahnemann), which is what a classical homeopath should prescribe by
Aphorism 242 of the organon
'As long, therefore, as the progressive improvement continues from the medicine administered, so long we can take for granted that the duration of the action of the helpful medicine, in this case at least, continues, and hence all repetition of any dose of medicine is forbidden.'
The same point is also stressed in Aphorism 245.
'Even one dose of the same medicine which has up to now proved beneficial, if repeated before the improvement has begun to stand still in every direction, will, like an untimely interference, only aggravate the state.....'
Only in case of LM potencies repetition is allowed. This is also mentioned in the 6th edition of the Organon.

my wife has recently developed a kind of fungal infection on her nipples and on pubic area. has it got anything to do with her hypothyroidism?
when lab test was done, her TSH level was found to be within normal range. but she says she has tiredness and body pain and hair loss. could the lab test be wrong? anyway what should i do to cure her recently developed fungal infection? this kind of fungal infection was found on her at the time i started hypothyroidism treatment about two years back.
please advise me.

no, her infection does not look like blisters. actually there is not much to be seen on the infected parts. it appears like a very thin outermost layer of the skin has been scratched off. she has burning sensation when water falls on the infected area. also, she has pain when her nipples are held between fingers. feel free to ask for more information if you need.

she is likely to think that she is dominated and emotionally abused by me, her husband. she has no other history. i fail to say whether she is lashing out with words these days as she used to do. but she is still angry and yells at her child.

I remember we did try Sepia, was there any benefit at that time ?
If there was no change then, then probably you need to try Graphites 200C , 3 doses on a single day and then observe for 1 week.

my wife developed this fungal infection recently, about two weeks back. of course, she had it once or twice before and was cured by means of sulf calc lyco series. can we consider her present condition as acute? what about the dosage for acute conditions in general? can we give there a number of doses for about five or six days till the symptoms completely disappear? can we give LM potencies for weeks without successive dynamising?

Actually I think we did try Sulphur and Lycopodium and in high enough potencies , so if they were the indicated remedies, you should have seen benefit by now.
I would not recommend going to LMs while we are still not sure about the remedy choice. The LMs are very penetrating and can result in severe accessory symptoms.
And, regarding repetition, even in LMs, the successive doses have a different dynamization through sucussions given to the remedy bottle. Repetition can be done every few days or even daily IF needed as long as patient is improving slowly. Any striking amelioration would mean repetition is not needed, even with LMs.

my question was actually not one pertaining to my persomal case; it was a general one. what i wanted to know was: can't we take repeated doses of a medicine for days on end in acute conditions?

sameer, my wife's conditions were not improved with graphites. her fungal infection gets relieved temporarily when washed with calendula, echinacea hydrastis solution. once it is discontinued it comes back. more over, she has developed leucorrhoea also which is slightly thick and ricesoup white in colour. besides, all her earlier symptomslike tiredness, lack of energy, hairfall,are there still. according to the lab report, her t3 t4 and TSH are within normal range. but her blood sugar and total cholesterol are slightly above normal. what should i do next?

Consulted with many Doctors but they told me,i have no medical problems .only i have gain weight so i should cut my sugur and carbs, and do regular exercise. when i tell them that i am not eating these things and most of the time i am on diet .They don't believe me.

2) Does she have any fears ?
yes. if my kids are late for 10 minutes i start to think some thing bad happend
3) Can you correlate any event/stress to the start of her problems ?
My miscarriage in 2001, after that i have son born in 2003.
4.) Has she started losing connection with those around her, even the ones she loves ?
yes. before i was very warm person , now for a year i dont want to talk or chat or meet anyone.
5.) Does she make sarcastic remarks during her anger ?
Yes. i do. i am angery on small things. before i was a happy person. taking care of everyone and had positiv
attitude about everything. My friends and family cant believe i am the same person any more.
6) Does she like company or she prefers to be alone?

One more thing i dont know why i have started craving for raw rice. i dont want to eat but urge is so strong i will go to kitchen and will eat 2 or 3 table spoon of raw rice. it happens once or twice a week or in a month. i dont eat any white things.like milk or bread

I too am suffering from similar symptoms i.e, sleepiness during daytime, impotency, excessive dryness in hands, TSH = 65, not taken allopathic medicine for more than 1 year ! however a local homeopath gave me thyroidinium 30 yesterday, I took 2 doses and it increased the sleepiness but it gave a lease of life to my sex organs, so I am a bit reluctant to continue with thyroidinum 30 ! do you suggest I should take thyroidinum 3x from schwabe ? and after reading this article I tried Calcarea Carb 30 half an hour back and it seems that it is suiting better as far as sleep is concerned, as I find blood flow increased in brain which seems to helpful in removing sleep but I also felt weakness in my legs, so what do you suggest and I also read a post by Dr. Deoshlok Sharma

I have been feeling unwell for a couple of years with symptoms of fatigue, depression, mental fog, memory and concentration problems, loss of libido, anger, emotions all over the place, anxiety and panic attacks, not interested in anything, giving up my studies .
Eversince then my stomach has bloated and I have put on weight. I am still depressed and doctor will be giving me another blood test in two weeks time cos he thinks I need an increase in medication.
I am interested in taking homeopathic medication but have never taken it before. I don't want the conventional medications, doctor hasn't got answers to why I am bloating. I have always been slim and eversince I've started this medication the weight has slowly been creeping up. I hope some of you can reply to this and I look forward to any of your replies ..Marss

When hypothyroidism isn't treated, signs and symptoms can gradually become more severe. Constant stimulation of your thyroid to release more hormones may lead to an enlarged thyroid (goiter). In addition, you may become more forgetful, your thought processes may slow, or you may feel depressed.
Advanced hypothyroidism, known as myxedema, is rare, but when it occurs it can be life-threatening. Signs and symptoms include low blood pressure, decreased breathing, decreased body temperature, unresponsiveness and even coma. In extreme cases, myxedema can be fatal.
Homoeopathy treatment..
Iodium CM daily one dose morning empty stomach for four continues day. There after monthly one dose early in morning empty stomach for 6 month pls check TSH every month if falls below the normal then stop the allopathic medicine.. and fully depend on homeopathy

daily one dose for four continuous day there after every month one doses only i.e. per month one dose for 6 month..
if you will take the medicine - get cure other wise you won't be cured by homeopathy or any allopathy too.. Earlier this disease is most failure case in homeopathy...
this is the top secret thing which I am going to share here for the help of thyroid people I presented to you after got cured no. of patient ..

Some times we have to take the wrong step against the principle to cure the the disease, but it is very much save then taking allopathic medicine.. even allopathic there is no cure for this disease .. but we are curing the no. of thyroid patient.. you all can try this medicine... go get cure from dreaded disease ...
