there appears to be some improvement. there is still pain and congestion, but at intervals rather than constant.

Good news.

Try to get Calcarea Carb 200c, though we will not administer it before atleast 1 more week.

I am telling you in case you might need some time to procure it.

sameervermani last decade
ok, i'll get it as soon as i can, but ...

*Calcarea patient is fat, fair, flabby and perspiring and cold, damp and sour.*

feet are always cold due to poor circulation after severe frostbite many years ago; otherwise, none of the above describes me. i don't know how much the 'type' matters, but this did kind of jump out at me.

'Calcarea patient is fat, fair, flabby and perspiring and cold, damp and sour'

Heh , these kind of statements are good only if a person has resonated to just one remedy for all his life, which rarely is the case. All of us in the modern age are exposed to so many stresses and toxins, that we acquire layers as we go on with our lives, and by the time we are at your age, we become a mis-mash of atleast 4-5 layers and the 'body type' of the outermost remedy layer really has little relevance as it is just a part of the jigsaw puzzle :)

sameervermani last decade
i see.

in any event, it's probably as well it will likely be a while before i can get the calc carb 200c, as i'm starting to experience negative effects from taking so many remedies so close together. today my allergies went insane and i had to take some histamine. i hope that won't undo the good work of the arnica, but it was necessary as nothing else would work.

nakomis last decade
woke up this morning with severe pain (ears/sinuses/throat) so i'm back where i started.

also, someone picked up the calc for me today, so i guess i'm good to go. meanwhile, the student asks: which problems are we addressing with this remedy?

'which problems are we addressing with this remedy?'

[S]: Well if Calc indeed IS the outermost layer, then it will remove quite a big chunk of the total symptoms.

Let us try to re-confirm.

So, do you always insist on finishing whatever you have started ?

Can we call you reliable and hard working ?

Ever noticed any sour sweats or sour stools ?

From the childhood, did you always wish to do things by yourself showing a desire to be independent and self-sufficient ?

Do you have a tendency to be come OVER-WORKED, OVER-BURDENED, OVERWHELMED ?

Have a Strong sense of duty and responsibility?

Do you WORK TO EXHAUSTION THEN GIVE UP ?

Do you have a preoccupation with metaphysical concerns, such as life after death, reincarnation, etc ?

Any Fears among the following : MICE OR RATS. Insects and spiders. Dogs. Dark. Diseases. Claustrophobia. Cancer. Infections. Tuberculosis. Earthquakes. Storms. Poverty. Accidents ?

*do you always insist on finishing whatever you have started ?*

I avoid taking on needless tasks, but if I commit myself to something, I will do my best to complete the task. If for some legitimate reason I can't complete the task, I don't beat myself up over it.

*Can we call you reliable and hard working ?*

I don't value hard work for its own sake, but I can work hard if needs be. People seem to find me reliable and I prefer to fulfill my commitments, so I suppose you could call me reliable.

*Ever noticed any sour sweats or sour stools ?*

No.

*From the childhood, did you always wish to do things by yourself showing a desire to be independent and self-sufficient ?*

Children learn by doing. I was a bright, healthy child, so I probably did prefer to learn by doing. As an adult, self-sufficiency is a necessity because if I don't do it, it doesn't get done. I gratefully accept any help that comes my way, however.

*Do you have a tendency to be come OVER-WORKED, OVER-BURDENED, OVERWHELMED ?*

Not if I can help it :)

*Have a Strong sense of duty and responsibility?*

Duty, no. I do take my responsibilities seriously provided they are indeed my responsibilities. I prefer not to step away from a promise or commitment, though I will if need be.

*Do you WORK TO EXHAUSTION THEN GIVE UP ?*

No.

*Do you have a preoccupation with metaphysical concerns, such as life after death, reincarnation, etc ?*

No.

Any Fears among the following :

Not until my vertigo became an issues. It's common sense to avoid places where I could fall a long way.

*MICE OR RATS.*

No.

No.

*Insects and spiders. Dogs. Dark. Diseases.*

I'm not partial to spiders.

*Claustrophobia. Cancer. Infections. Tuberculosis. Earthquakes. Storms. Poverty. Accidents ?*

I don't waste time or energy fearing things beyond my control.

Hmm.. this did not confirm Calcarea much , but then words can be mis-construed often, so in view of the benefit from the 30c dose, let us go ahead with 1 dose of 200c.

1 dose = 1 teaspoon

sameervermani last decade
if you can point out to me those things which may have been miscontrued, i can attempt to clarify.

nakomis last decade
tell me , is your personality mild/yielding or would you consider yourself an assertive person ?

sameervermani last decade
i can assert myself when i need to. i get along with most people, but i am not a doormat and i will not 'go along' with something just to keep the peace.

nakomis last decade
last night was very difficult. by the time i got to bed, the entire left side of my face from below my eye to under my jaw was pulsating with pain and quite swollen. i took calc carb 30c and placed a heating pad beneath that side for about an hour and then was able to sleep. the pain is less this morning, but still bad. i cannot take cold drinks as they send shocks of pain into my upper teeth, which are now throbbing all the time.

added to this, i must be frank: i am on a fixed income due to my high degree of disability, and purchasing all these remedies is rapidly eating holes in my very tiny savings, so i dearly hope i already have any further remedies i may need to try.

nakomis last decade
Let us see how far you can go with the 30c

Do not repeat any more of the 30c. 200c should be the next step once the recent dose has exhausted its action.

sameervermani last decade
ok. thanks.

i am no better and no worse.

i probably have no idea what i'm talking about, but in my research (as regards ear/sinus/throat) i keep coming back to aconite. i am not an aconite 'type', but much of what i see in terms of symptoms and modalities appears to be pretty close to what i'm experiencing vis a vis ear/sinus/throat.

both the parotid and sub-max glands are quite swollen, causing pain in the nerves of my bottom jaw (left side), while the swelling/pressure from sinuses are causing upper teeth (left side) to ache, with piercing pain if i drink or eat anything cold.

i'm probably barking up the wrong tree entirely; bottom line of course is that i just want to be rid of this blasted infection.

Dear Nakomis,

Aconite is purely an acute medicine which acts well only in the 'beginning' of the attacks where there is chilliness/sneezing and extreme anxiety/restlessness. Your problem is past that stage.

Take 3 doses of Calc 200c , 1 dose being 1 teaspoon as before.

Let me know in 2 days after this.

Sameer

sameervermani last decade
ok

how far apart do i take the three doses?

nakomis last decade
3 hours

sameervermani last decade
ok. thanks

nakomis last decade
so far no improvement, and my throat is much worse, feeling like a strep.

pain also starting up in my right ear, though at this point it's only mildly uncomfortable.

nakomis last decade
i suspected i might have a strep, so i had my throat checked out, and i indeed have a very bad infection.

just to keep things interesting, i guess :}

Please answer these questions:

1/. Is the patient very profoundly affected by thunderstorms, and other natural phenomenon?

2/. Does the patient have a 'cafe au lait' (milky coffee) type colour to their complexion?

3/. Is the patient very emotional, and particularly, empathic towards others? Do they worry over relatives etc?

4/. Is the patient very independent? Obstinate? Are they very sensitive to reprimand?

5/. Is the patient VERY profoundly affected by music? with a great love of dancing, and keen sense of rythm?

6/. Does the patient suffer from a kind of 'intellectual torpor', which makes intellectual thought difficult?

7/. Do they feel as if they have suffered from some kind of great loss?

8./)Are you a perfectionist ?

9./) Are you improved from consolation ?

10./)Are you prone to head sweats during sleep ?

11./) Do you sleep with your knees close to her chest ?

12./) Do you have some what of an eye for detail especially when it comes to sense of beauty ?

1/. Is the patient very profoundly affected by thunderstorms, and other natural phenomenon?

i love thunderstorms ... am invigourated by them. tornados, hurricanes, earthquakes etc are another story entirely, though i don't spend time worrying about them unless someone i care about is in the danger zone. as a child i always had to be chased away from flooded areas as they fascinated me.

2/. Does the patient have a 'cafe au lait' (milky coffee) type colour to their complexion?

somewhat when i was younger, but my skin pigment began fading about 10 years ago.

3/. Is the patient very emotional,

i can be, depending on the circumstances.

>and particularly, empathic towards others?

i have been told i am.

>Do they worry over relatives etc?

if there's cause for concern, it's difficult to concentrate on anything else until the crisis has passed. it's not a hand-wringing/pacing anxiety, however. i don't waste energy on 'what if'.

4/. Is the patient very independent?

somewhat, though i have no problem asking for help if i need it.

>Obstinate?

only when something is very important to me (e.g. i will not be coerced into something i feel is wrong or unethical)

>Are they very sensitive to reprimand?

i used to be, but have long since outgrown it.

5/. Is the patient VERY profoundly affected by music?

yes

> with a great love of dancing, and keen sense of rythm?

very much so

6/. Does the patient suffer from a kind of 'intellectual torpor', which makes intellectual thought difficult?

occasionally, but if i don't try to force it, i can think more clearly.

7/. Do they feel as if they have suffered from some kind of great loss?

i have had many losses in my life but i don't feel as if they are 'greater' losses than anything others experience. i don't dwell on them.

8./)Are you a perfectionist ?

no. i am content to do my best.

9./) Are you improved from consolation ?

as in being comforted? no. i appreciate genuine kindness/compassion, but need to process things by myself before i can talk about them.

10./)Are you prone to head sweats during sleep ?

no

11./) Do you sleep with your knees close to her chest ?

no

12./) Do you have some what of an eye for detail especially when it comes to sense of beauty ?

sometimes

13./) Are you very creative ?

i'm told i am, but i don't see it. i suppose in everyday things i can be, but i'm not interested in crafts. i love to cook and garden, but those aren't hobbies, they're necessities and it's just luck that i enjoy them.

>If yes, what creative hobby do you have ?

are training/jumping horses and dancing creative hobbies?

14./) Were you burdened with any extra ordinary responsibility at a young age ?

yes

There are very strong indications for Carcinosin
here. And, that might also explain how there are strong indications for Silicea, Phosphorus, Sepia and Calcarea Carb here.

Most of the Carcinosin cases are slightly 'kinky' cases of the above mentioned anti-tubercular remedies. And, ME/FM since viral infections is a keynote of Carcinosin as well. Added to that, burdening with 'extra ordinary' responsibility at a young age, is listed on only 2 remedies in the repertory, Calcarea and carcinosin. Add to that, the keen sense of rythm and dancing, you get the complete Carcinosin picture.

I have no doubt that it will be my first choice now. It is a strange remedy though, and extremely difficult to detect over the internet because it normally presents itself as a very close resemblance of other remedy types.

So, I would recommend buying Carcinosin 200c and taking 3 doses equally spaced on 1 single day.

sameervermani last decade
i don't think i've ever heard of it. will contact my source tomorrow and see if they have it or can get it in.

i think it can safely be said that ME and FM are 'kinky', particularly in that no two cases are exactly alike, and symptoms cycle rather than remaining constant.

the student is intrigued.

thank you.
