i don't think i've ever heard of it. will contact my source tomorrow and see if they have it or can get it in.
i think it can safely be said that ME and FM are 'kinky', particularly in that no two cases are exactly alike, and symptoms cycle rather than remaining constant.
the student is intrigued.
thank you.

The carcinosin is on order; it should hopefully be here in 2-3 weeks. i'm not sure what you intend for it to address, but i do hope it will include my ever-worsening ENT problems.

Space them by 2 hours, and stopping after first dose, or the second dose in case there is a reaction.

i am still waiting for the carc to arrive; there has been a delay.
in the meantime, my ear/sinus (etc)infection seems to have been replaced by a simple if sometimes quite painful state of inflammation. as well, i believe there is significanta swelling of the brain, and my neck is very stiff and tender. overall i am so weak and dizzy, and in so much bodily pain (joints and muscles as well as an IBS flare up) that i can hardly do anything at all. it is a tremendous effort to sit at my computer long enough to type these words.
i am wondering if i need to repeat the arnica (the neck pain and brain inflammation in particular made me wonder), or if there is something else i can do or take in the meantime while i wait for the carc.
i need to be able to function at a higher level than a 1/2 hour per day of very light chores. a bit of relief as well would be rather pleasant.
thanks

do these symptoms mean that the benefits of the constitutional are wearing off, or are they simply being eclipsed by whatever else is going on?
sorry for the stupid questions; i feel like i'm free-falling into senility or something ... brain not cooperating at all.
meanwhile i'll try the arnica 30c

Arnica is not a constitutional remedy.
It was given to take out the effects of injuries.
I was under the impression that Phosphorus or Calcarea is your constitutional remedy, but now after their failure Carcinosin has become the top contender.

the carc has finally arrived; i picked it up this morning. will take it shortly and then wait and see what happens.
i would like very much to know if there's an antidote should i have an adverse reaction. i don't anticipate one, but i've had the occasional severely adverse reaction to a remedy, so i do like to be prepared for 'just in case'.

We will not interfere, with a reaction as there is a reason for a strong reaction. A completely incorrect remedy will never cause a violent reponse.
Just to be safe, you can start with just a single dose of Carc 200c.
Take just 1 tablespoon from a bottle where 2 pellets have been dissolved, and report in 1 week. Make sure nothing enters your mouth 1 hr before and 1 hr after the remedy.

easy for you to say ;o)
i'm not concerned about a strong reaction (that would be a good sign, i think), i'm concerned about an extreme *adverse* reaction (e.g. heart or respiratory problems or anything incapacitating) i've used incorrect remedies that caused very severe reactions which required emergency action. (M.E. breaks all the rules and thrives on paradox, so every day is an adventure; if not for that, i doubt the question would even occur to me)

i will be doing so shortly; i'm just waiting for it to dissolve.

sinuses started draining tonight (down the back of my throat). reflex expectoration revealed blood, both old and fresh. is this carc action?
nakomis last decade
Any form of discharge , is a very good sign, keep on waiting, as this should be followed by improvements.

that was it, one small draining and since then nothing except i'm now compleetly housebound and 90% bedridden. everything else has taken a back seat to my extreme debility and weakness and for that i have never found a cure save time, which can stretch into years.
i think i have reached the point of being very discouraged.

Dear Nakomis,
I am sorry to hear that.
To be honest, now I am running out of ideas in this case. Maybe the remedy got lost somewhere along the line in one of those infections.
However, I understand the reason for being discouraged. What I can do is go through the case once more and see if one of the remedies we have already tried was the correct one.
Maybe, I can also seek the opinion of someone else as well on this.

thank you.
i have been feeling lately as if (given the nature of M.E.) perhaps i have needed to be more patient and give myself more 'breathing room' between remedies. and then of course there have been the antibiotics.
for what it may be worth, i have observed that certain remedies can cause peculiar reactions and must take that into account. for example sulf iod helps with my rosacea (no acne, just the redness and pain) but makes my scalp itch to where i am almost literally tearing out my hair, which is falling out fast enough without my help.
i have also to consider the possibility that my ear/sinus problems are, in part, yet another manifestation of the core disease. i went back to my resources when something reminded me of the severe earaches i strted to experience shortly after onset (of M.E.) more than 25 years ago, and indeed among common symptoms is ear and sinus pain. there has been infection at least five times over the past year (when a dr looks in one's ear or throat and says 'oh my!' one assumes there's something unmistakable), but it's probable that the pain and swelling have also, at times, been as much symptom as specific ailment. these are so closely intertwined i'm not even trying to sort them out at this point.
i am feeling now as if i must address the 'fatigue' (such an inadequate word) before anything else can be accomplished, as this is the foundation upon which everything else stands. i am doing this with the commonsense methods employed in the past (rest, nutrition, and so forth) while hoping that a remedy exists which will address my profound levels of incapacitating exhaustion.
i am hoping to be able after a few days' rest to do a bit of research and ask some questions. i will post whatever information i may come across, just in case it should prove useful.
one remedy i recall freqently hearing about (for the treatment of M.E. and other post-viral ailments) is China. i don't know if it would apply in my case, but i thought to mention it while i remembered.
