Sameer Vermani - please help me improve the quality of my life! Page 2 of 8

This is just a forum. Assume posts are not from medical professionals.
Dissimilar aggravations are new troublesome symptoms which were not part of the original natural disease. e.g.

'Still congested. I have never in my life experienced anything like this. I am not normally one to have a blocked nose for more than a day or two at a time, and never this severely. '

Ok, I get it. Can I expect it to subside by itself or should I be taking an antidote?

I have read through some info about sepia, and it definitely sounds like it's worth giving it a go. There is a lot there relating to some of my physical complaints, that's for sure.

Can I ask, did you have sepia in mind alongside ignatia from the beginning?

littlefinn last decade
It will subside by itself.

And yes, I did.

sameervermani last decade
How long do you think it will take, given I took the 200C about 12 days ago?

It's funny how some people say that if it's the wrong remedy that it won't have any effect on you at all. My experience just proves that's wrong. :)

littlefinn last decade
Hi Sameer, just letting you know that I am taking the Sepia today.

Also, the congestion subsided a few days after my last post in this thread.

Good stuff

Hi Sameer,

It has been 7 days since I took the sepia 30C. I can't confidently say that I noticed anything at all.

I thought that perhaps there were a couple of things, but I might have been imagining them. I will tell you anyway, in case you think they might be relevant. I noticed some mild sinus congestion on the first couple of days. I think that for a couple of days, I was urinating more frequently than I usually do. I have also been more thirsty than usual the last couple of days (it is very hot here at the moment, but I am usually quite a thirstless person). Also, I started menses just a few days after I took the sepia, and although I still had a lot of pain and the flow was very heavy for the first two days, it improved more quickly than it has in previous cycles lately. I cannot be sure this is related because I have only had 6 cycles since I stopped breastfeeding and there have been other changes that might just be my body settling back into a new rhythm, and not homeopathy. Finally, my tailbone was hurting for a couple of days (not anymore). This is a pain that I have only felt once in my life before - when I was pregnant. It lasted for 6 months of my pregnancy and was severe. It was related to the alignment of my hips and pelvis, and I received some physiotherapy for it during pregnancy.

No change to my mental state or the chief physical symptoms, although I haven't had any cystic acne for a few months now anyway.

What do you think?

I will analyze this and get back to you.

Please reply to these:

Are you suspicious ? If yes, in what situations ?

Do you ever have exceptional loquacity marked by a rapid change of subject; i.e. jumping abruptly from one idea to another ?

Do you use your tongue in a very refined but cynical and critical way ? As if you have an intuition about the weakness of others and hence an ability to hurt them with precise sarcastic words ?

Do you ever get jealous ? If so, in what situations?

Are you intense and passionate ?

Hi Sameer. Wow, a challenging set of question!

Are you suspicious ? If yes, in what situations ? No, I don't think so. I am more likely to be paranoid than suspicious. It is usually in situations with friends where I think that someone is talking about me behind my back or that a group of people have misunderstood something I did or made up a rumour about me.

Do you ever have exceptional loquacity marked by a rapid change of subject; i.e. jumping abruptly from one idea to another ? I am loquacious by nature, but I tend to stay on the one subject until I've talked it to death. :-D

Do you use your tongue in a very refined but cynical and critical way ? As if you have an intuition about the weakness of others and hence an ability to hurt them with precise sarcastic words ? No. I tend to speak from emotion, rather than thought. In professional situations, I do think a lot more carefully about what I say and will do so in order to get what I want, however this is something I am learning to do in recent years, and not something that comes naturally to me.

Do you ever get jealous ? If so, in what situations? I tend to be easily envious of others - their successes, talents, wealth, assets, looks. I have also been very jealous in a past relationship, however it was a very unhappy and unstable time in my life and my partner was very jealous and possessive of me, which brought out my own jealousy. I do not think I am normally jealous in relationships.

Are you intense and passionate ? Yes, definitely.

I might add, that when I was young (around 18), I suffered a very emotionally traumatic experience with two friends which changed me a lot. It is since then that I have been insecure and paranoid. Before that I was a very confident and trusting person in general. I realise that is also a time in life when many people experience changes and grow up, so my hindsight of that time is cluttered with lots of other issues, however I do believe this experience had a profound effect on my life and who I have become.

Okay, so there are 2 remedies coming up very strongly..

Lachesis and Arsenicum

Please read both from this link

ars.html " rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">http://homepage.ntlworld.com/homeopathy_advice/Remedies/POLY...

lach.html " rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">http://homepage.ntlworld.com/homeopathy_advice/Remedies/POLY...

Come back and let me know what you think about both.

Your reading will help in differential diagnosis.

Hmmm... at first glance, I would say Arsenicum seems a lot more likely, but I will read this more thoroughly and discuss with my husband, then get back to you.

littlefinn last decade
Ok. Sorry if this turns out to be very longwinded, but I thought it might be helpful if I copy and paste in the bits that apply to me.

ARSENICUM

In the early phases, the most marked emotional symptoms are irritability, criticism and discontent.

frightening panic attacks with trembling [I have suffered from this in the past]

Arsenicum needs a strong support network [yes, I do need and crave that, but I don't feel I have ever really had it]

He is often anxious and overly responsible. The great insecurity causes anxiety and caution in any dangerous situation - even driving in a car. [this excerpt was related to children. From what I can gather I was very much like this as a child - never a risk taker, never hurt myself, never caused mischief and feared chastisement greatly]

The child's anxiety prompts truly compulsive school work which may even extend to obsessive behavior.

Fears: Robbers. [As a child and young adult, I would often wake at night time and search the house for intruders. Being murdered or attacked in my home was a huge fear for many years. I was scared to be home alone - until as an adult I lived alone and got over it!]

[Not anymore, but I used to be like this several years ago].

> [true, except I don't like hot weather at all. May seem contradictory, but that's the truth of it. I am much less bothered by cold as I get older.]

Thirstless, especially in chronic patients.
Craving cold drinks.

gastritis with extreme burning [my stomach condition was never diagnosed properly, although thought to be IBS, it wasn't just my stomach, but my entire gastrointestinal system. Not something I suffer from much these days, but a HUGE problem when I was younger].

Tremor, especially with anxiety. [only with anxiety or when I am expressing something very personal and feel vulnerable, I have an incontrollable tremble].

Anxious dreams or says he feels anxious even in his sleep.
Restless sleep.

[not actually eczema, but other dry skin issues]
Intense itching of skin without eruption (Alum, Mez, Sulph). [I have had several mystery skin conditions during my life].

Asthma. [not a problem since I have been living in a city with low pollution and dry air].
Bronchitis. [I used to suffer this when I was a smoker. I've not smoked for 8 years.]
Depression.
Anxiety.
Ovarian cysts.

In general the things I cannot relate to are a fear of death and hypochondria. I do not worry too much about my health and rarely go to the doctor. I am also not scared of dying, but I do fear for the lives of my loved ones, and I often have awful, intense fantasies about friends and family being hurt or killed. I also do not think I have any tendencies towards obsessive compulsive behaviour in its extreme, although I am a creature of habit and have been known to behave in ritualistic manners about certain things like the way I eat my food or hand the laundry out to dry. I do get fevers when I am sick, and this was particularly true as a child--I was prone to vivid hallucinatory fevers.

I will go through Lachesis in a separate post.

LACHESIS

[as before, my comments are in brackets].

the Lachesis patient has an inner stimulation or agitation which must be expressed either through the physical symptoms or through behavior or speech. The mind is full of ideas and the patient cannot bear to keep them back (loquacity). The emotions are extremely passionate and the patient will express them with often frightening intensity. [If I was to describe myself in three words it would be passionate, expressive and determined. My need to express myself with 'behaviour and speech' is almost as strong as my need for approval and stability. However, I will add to this, that the lachesis description generally gives the impression of someone who is constantly on edge and very agitated, and while I can be like this at times, I am easily able to be quiet, relaxed and introspective.]

He works hard, he competes intensely, he loves jealously. The patient is almost always described as 'intense' by those around him. [All true, except loving jealously.]

There is so much inside that needs to be expressed, he cannot contain it all.

Anxiety of conscience.[I feel guilty about very silly things sometimes and if I have done something wrong it will eat me up until I confess to it].

or drug addiction. [I have suffered from certain dependencies in the past].

GENERAL AGGRAVATION BEFORE THE MENSTRUAL PERIOD.
GENERAL AMELIORATION AS SOON AS (or after

Diarrhea before menses. [on occasions].

In general the things I heartily disagree with are that I am not at all egotistical or arrogant, and I am definitely not someone to strike at a person's weaknesses. If I ever attack or wound with words it is out of anger and too much emotion that must be expressed and there is no thought behind it. I also cannot agree with the section on jealousy - that does not sound at all like me, although I have made the point to you about being paranoid, but that usually only applies to friendships, not intimate relationships.

I also cannot identify with the description of lachesis children, although, I must mention that after I went through puberty my easy going, compliant nature changed a great deal, and I became very emotional and caused my parents a great deal of stress with hysterical outbursts of strong emotion. I don't have a lot of memory of that time, but I was intense and hard to deal with to say the least. I also had a very strong rebellious streak against any kind of authority around this time.

That's about it. In general, I think that Ars sounds more appropriate, but I am conflicted as there is a lot in Lachesis as well. What do you think?

Littlefinn,

How are you with planning finances and spending money ?

Are you very careful while shopping or do you spend on impulses ?

Do you have a strong desire for amusement ?

How are you with planning finances and spending money ? Extremely meticulous. I am an excellent saver and I keep a careful budget. I have been known to sit for ages with a calculator and a pen! I have always been like this, since I was a little girl.

Are you very careful while shopping or do you spend on impulses ? Generally speaking, I am very careful. I tend to buy things mostly when they are on sale. I often have to think about something for a while before I buy it. Occasionally I have bought on impulse, and I nearly always regret it.

Do you have a strong desire for amusement ? I'm not entirely sure what this question means. If you mean do I need to have a lot of entertainment and activities in my life, then no. I can be quite content with simple things. If you mean, do I like to have fun and laugh, then yes. I have a strong sense of fun and humour and I love to joke around and act like a clown.

Okay then my first choice is Arsenic Album, and please take 3 doses of 30c potency at 30 mins gap.

1 dose = 1 teaspoon.

Report in 1 week.

sameervermani last decade
Ok, will do. Thanks for your continuing help. :)

littlefinn last decade
Sameer, it has been 7 days since I took the ars album doses.

Here is what I have observed:

I was not trouble at all by itching from the day I took the doses, until last night. I was itchy again last night, but it wasn't as severe as usual.

My bowel movements have been disrupted. I am usually very regular and it is quick and easy. This week it has been unpredictable and irregular, not enough to bother me, but enough that I have noticed a change.

Two days after I took the doses I had quite a bad congestion in one side of my sinuses. The following day it was the other side. It is possible this came about from mowing the grass because I am very sensitive to dust, however, it seemed a little worse than what I would normally experience. It went away in two days, but then on Thursday, I woke up very congested in both sinuses and with an itchy throat. It definitely felt like an allergic irritation, but there was no obvious environmental cause.

I can't say I have noticed a significant change in my mental or emotional state. In general, I think my moods have been quite good all week, but I am still prone to irritability, and quick to anger and fall into a depressed state.

What do you think?

littlefinn last decade
Well, let us give this 3 more days to be sure, and if there are no positive changes, it would be my second suggestion of LACHESIS which would be the next step.

sameervermani last decade
I think the disappearance of my itching was a very positive (and very welcome) change. It just didn't last very long. You are really looking for a mental change first, right? The difficulty with me is that I am such a moody person it is very difficult for me to assess!

littlefinn last decade
You will know without a doubt, when the right remedy works.

So, in three days from now, you can go to Lachesis 30c , 3 doses to be taken in the exact same manner.

sameervermani last decade
Ok. I will update in three days if I have more information. Otherwise I will try lachesis. Thank you!

littlefinn last decade
Did you take the Lachesis ?

sameervermani last decade
Oh! Funny, I was going to post today and ask you the dosage procedure. I have just been busy and kept meaning to get around to it. I have the 30c liquid from helios - how do I take it?
