Pulsatilla child with cold/cough
My son is almost 3. Has had a runny nose for 3 months. Sometimes green sticky mucus around the nose. It runs clear outside in the fresh air.He had the start of a cough which got immensely worse after a traumatic time starting nursery and leaving me for the first time. he cried a lot that day for 40 mins. I have not sent him since. He now has a loose cough, worse for laying down in bed.
Gave Pulsatila 3 times a day for 3 days, he is a typical Pulsatilla child. This made the cough better, but we still have a runny nose and a cough that will not disappear.
what does anyone recommend? Was thinking Spongia Tosta.
Thanks

This is just a forum. Assume posts are not from medical professionals.
Would like to add, he took Calc carb and Kali carb prior to pulsatilla, these were for his runny nose. These 2 remedies didnt do anything.

Hello,
He loves being outdoors and is happiest playing outside in open air.
He is very clingy towards mum and dad. Does not like change in routine, cries easily, gets upset easily. Not an angry boy. Sensitive.
Last night he coughed a more dry, barking cough. He cried and woke up 6 times last night and gets upset and comes to our bedroom or I go to him. He cannot sleep with us as I have a newborn in bed.
Cough worse an hour or so after going to bed for a few hours.
He caught the cough off family members. However it got much worse the day he was left in Nursery without me and he cried a lot.
He doesnt drink a lot and needs to be told to drink and then drinks small amounts often.
Normal bowel movement
Prefers to move around.
This morning he seems to have a very slight reddish/purple patch under each eye. He was better after being in a hot bath yesterday, no coughing then. This morning he has green sticky mucus again.

No this looks more than Gels.
Your son wants to be with you but can't. Presence of a younger sibling may sometimes trigger Asthma in children.
A single dose of Arsenicum 30C is required to judge the response first.
