10 month baby sleep problems

Hello

I have a 10 month old son who wakes up repeatedly throughout the night, I don't think he has ever slept more than 4 hours straight and this has only happened a couple of times.
He has always been a very alert child and stopped sleeping most of the day (as babies do) at 2 months.
He was born via C-Section bc the umbilical chord almost strangled him, he was purple when I first saw him.
Since he started crawling (at 8 months) he wakes up in motion, crying as if something is very wrong and sits up immediately.
For about a month, his nose has been stuffed up (he had a cold in March that hasn't quite disappeared?)
He has had a dry cough only while sleeping until recently, the cough sometimes wakes him up. The last few nights however, its more like he wakes up first, and coughs once he is sitting.
Between 2 and 8 months he would nap for 30 mins 3 times a day and sleep for a period of 12 hours with numerous wakings.
Nowadays he'll sleep for a period of 9-10 hours at night (awaking 4-5 times), have a solid morning nap but fights the afternoon nap.
He is also finding it really hard to settle now that he is so mobile. No matter how early I try to get him to bed, he needs an hour of crawling, standing and other wriggling around before he finally falls asleep.
90% of the time he falls asleep nursing.
We co-sleep.
He tends to sleep on his back.
When just up, tired or hungry he is clingy although generally quite an adventurous child, very curious about his surroundings.
Gets frustrated easily and is quite loud about it.
Currently his 4th tooth is coming out which is why I have been more patient with his sleeplessness. Until 3 weeks ago, I could get him back to sleep with a shh and pat on the back. Since teething, he needs to nurse back to sleep.
Have been giving him Chamodent by a company called DHU for teething, Contents per 100 mg are: Belladona D6 15mg, Chamomilla D6 15 mg, Ferrum phosphoricum D6 15 mg, Hepar sulfuris D12 15 mg, Pulsatilla D6 15 mg. Seems to help--but there is still pain.

Also, for the restlessness, I tried giving him Kindival by DHU. (Contents per 100 mg are: Cypripedium pubescens
D4 15 mg, Magnesium carbonicum D10 20 mg, Zincum valerianicum D12 15 mg.) I tried this during the month of March, however the instructions say not to use for over a month, so I need an alternative. The first few times I gave him Kindival were pretty successful. He fell asleep more easily and even slept for 4 hours in a row. However those miraculous results were short-lived.
What can I do to help him relax and fall asleep easily? More importantly, what can I do to help him sleep more hours in a row??
Thanks in advance for your advice and do tell if you need different/more details.

This is just a forum. Assume posts are not from medical professionals.
It is very likely that your baby's sleep problems are part of his growing up process.

I do not think that it calls for any medicine as he will most likely grow out of his short sleep periods and sleep longer hours as other babies do.

If his problem still persists into another month, I shall try to help him with a remedy that has shown some promise as adults who have taken it for other ailments have reported that they slept unusually soundly after taking the first dose.

Hello,
I have a 8 months baby girl with a similar sleep problem. she sleeps for 10 to 11 hours but awaking 4 up to 8 times. she's theething.
I read online about chamodent which is very popular and apparently, useful for theething problems and I would like to know where did you buy it?
I live in Miami.Fl
And how is doing your baby? What is the remedy was suggested? Did you tried? Did it work?
Excuse me if my english is not very good. It's not my primary language.
thank you.

I have had reports that a warm bath after the last feed at night often promotes deep sleep for the baby and the parents.

Suggest you try this technique and report results.

I live in Spain where you can buy Chamodent and Kindival in the Pharmacy, the Homeopathic Lab is called DHU. I have seen similar homeopathic products online in the US.
I also hear that Baltic Amber necklaces are very effective for teething problems.
YEs, warm baths are a good way to calm a child but won't prevent him/her from waking up at night several times.
Unfortunately nobody has given me a good solution here. My son is now over a year old and still wakes up more than twice a night. Kindival can be very effective to help settle him when he is fighting sleep but you cannot use it fro more than 3-4 weeks. Can anyone tell me why? I posted the ingredients above.
Thank you.

Arnica 30c in the Wet dose helps adults to sleep deeply.

I feel confident that it will also help babies to sleep more soundly and a single dose of a teaspoonful should help to promote deep sleep and this can be given after the last feed.

I shall copy my instructions to make the Wet dose below:

The Wet dose of any Homeopathic remedy is made up as follows:

Order the remedy in a 5ml Ethanol pack also known as Liquid Dilution.
Get a 500ml bottle of Spring Water from the nearest supermarket.
Pour out about 3cm of water from the bottle to leave some airspace.
Insert 3 drops of the remedy into the bottle and shake it hard to produce bubbles.
This is homeopathic succussion and must be done every time before a teaspoonful is sipped as directed.

How long can this be used for? Will it always have to be taken before bedtime for the child to sleep or will the child sleep more deeply without it eventually? Are there side effects?? Thank you

Arnica 30c in the Wet dose can be taken by anyone including babies very safely for as long as is necessary. Please follow the instructions to make this Wet dose precisely.

The teaspoonful of Arnica in the Wet dose is best taken about an hour before baby is put to bed as it promotes sleep.

All Homeopathic remedies taken in the Wet dose as instructed will not result in any side effects as the dilution of the 3 drops of the remedy in a 500ml bottle of water is infinitesimally small.
