Hair Loss and itchy scalp

Hi,

I am a 25 yr old man from India. I've been suffering hair loss from the past 2 years charecterized by thinning of the hair and a receding hairline. There is no history of hair loss in my family either on my father's or mother's side.

I have consulted with a few dermatologists and was initially prescribed Saw palmetto oil, which didn't really help. For the past 4 months I have been using Tugain, a topical minoxidil solution in strengths of 5% and 10%. I see this having little effect as well. For the past 7-8 months my scalp has been very itchy with some white flaking when I scratch. This condition compels me to wash my hair everyday (also would like to mention that I live in a very humid climate).

Apart from these conditions, I am extremely healthy, exercise almost everyday and over the past 6 months have taken steps to improve my diet greatly.

Any advice/suggestions to tackle my problem would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,
Samar

Samar,
Take Sulphur 6c in dilutions form And take a single dose
Single dose is 3-5 drops of dilution in 15-20 ml of water to be taken at morning empty stomach only once
Repeat only after 8 days

Report after 15 days

Thanks Dr. Yogesh. Will try this out. As per your recommendation will take one dose tomorrow and the next on 4th July.

Do let me know if this can be purchased across the counter and which problem specifically this would tackle (itchy scalp or hair loss?)

Thanks again,
Samar

Hi Dr. Yogesh,

I have checked at 2 pharmacies for Sulphur 6C (preferably in solution form) but they were unfamiliar with it. Any specific over the counter medicine I should be looking for which contains Sulphur 6C?

Also, do you recommend I continue application of the Minoxidil solution I was previously prescribed? Appreciate your help.

Thanks,
Samar

Just circling back on my earlier query. Could you please provide me with a specific medicine that contains Sulphur 6C?

Hi Dr. Yogesh,

As per your recommendation I have completed a 15 day cycle. I took the first dosage of Sulphur 30 on the 7th and again on the 15th of July. I do not see a noticeable change either in the itchiness of the scalp or the problem of hair loss.

Do you suggest any next steps?

Thanks,
Samar
