Hello,
I took the merc sol 2 days ago.
That day there was some relief and drainage soon after I took the merc. That day I was emotionally worn though from the pain and didn't want to think too hard. Yesterday though better than the first day, I still had a lot of pain, but not the pressure, could feel soreness below my ear also, there is still an infection in there and the gum and lower jaw feel bruised and sore. Yesterday morning I spit out some green mucus from my throat. I have been very tired. It painful to chew on that side, but I have already lost the molars on the other side so this is where I do the most chewing. It feels good to drink hot tea and put hot cloth on my cheek. I hope it is not too late to save this tooth-it is slightly loose.
Thank you

Hello Nawaz,
I need some help right now. Over the last few months there has been some heartbreak with animals and I was feeling like I wasn't getting through it. Now the last week has been a different stress with its sorrow and joy. On Monday I drove 7 hrs to come to my daughters labor and birth of her twins. She had planned and hoped for a natural home birth. she did all she could and endured an incredible amt of pain-she finally had to have a c-section and is happy and content with her twin girls. But it was a long 72 hr ordeal and none of us had much sleep only a few quick cat naps. As her mother it was hard to watch her suffer through the pain and disappointment and give up her plan one step at a time. But they are of course just rejoicing in their babies.
I on the other hand am struggling with my typical mulling over of it all and just the reaction to the all of it.
I'm still needing more sleep and I just feel like crying. During the process I was there to help her and keep the rest of the family posted. Sort of a fulcrum. when they took her to OR I lost it and sobbed.
Most of my naps during these days were short and several times they were very distressing. Its hard to describe what was going on-but I felt like my face was flickering or something and that I was not in control of it. So I would wake up. I can't explain it better. So now my mind is not working well, I feel I need to talk myself through everything that I do. When there is stress I do not have an appetite. Two days before coming here I began to get sick int he same way I usually do. My throat was first sore then my nose plugged up with copious yellow mucus, and I ran a low fever and ached all over, fortunately even without sleep the fever and achiness went away, but
I am still full of mucus and my sinuses make my face hurt. I don't feel sick anymore though.
But what happens to me and has since I was a teenager -is at the end of this I begin to cough suddenly with no warning and I can't stop for 10 minutes or so. I cough and retch and my nose runs until I can get it together.
I would like to clear my nose and chest, be able to sleep and feel happy. Now I have a sense of dread. Sometimes I wonder when I will reach my limit and why I am taking things so to heart.
I have my remedy kit with me and hope you can give some direction I am here to help them for a while and want to be a blessing to them.
I must get to the hospital now and help them get ready to come home
With all of this I am also just so proud of both of them and the way they have faced it all and now their calmness and joy in their girls-who are just beautiful and sweet. So I thank you again for your help

Gardenerd, It has been some time since I posted here. I was wondering how you are with your condition now. I also have this condition and need to know if you have improved with homeopathy.

Well I have read this entire thread... and instead of Gardnered being helped by Homeo...it appears that she just faded off the planet or worse, died. For her to try these ever changing remedies for over a year with no results and just worsening of symptoms must have taken a lot of patience and maybe some ignorance. Never once was she given Medorrhinum, which is the remedy for the chronic miasm. I don't understand why people keep saying this is curable and we see that it isn't....but for ancient texts from Homeopathic masters. ...who were definitely dealing with a different disease back then. It was pre-antibiotics, pre_GMOs and hybrids and before humans and bacteria were mutating at a voracious rate! Lets hear about someone who was CURED of chronic gonorrhea TODAY.

Well it isn't strictly true that Medorrhinum is the remedy for the miasm. There are MANY sycotic remedies. Medorrhinum will only help if the symptoms in the case are specifically medorrhinum ones. In fact, giving a patient this remedy without the symptoms matching, when there is secondary or tertiary gonorrhoea, may actually stir up the latent disease and make things worse (I have seen this happen in patients coming to me from other homoeopaths or who self-prescribe).

Chronic miasm isn't related to a remedy - it is a life-long pattern, which will require multiple remedies over a period of time. Sometimes the nosode is needed, sometimes it isn't. Giving the nosode when it is not needed can actually be quite risky, since nosodes are sometimes known to activate latent pathology or bring back to life suppressed diseases.

On top of that, suppressed gonorrhoea doesn't necessarily create the sycotic miasm. Since miasm is usually something we are born with, it can actually cause a flare up of the natural miasm of the patient - c-ancer, tubercular, syphilitic, leprosy etc.

If you look at the remedies that are listed for suppressed gonorrhoea, it actually shows remedies from a variety of different miasms eg. Aurum, Calc, Conium, Graphites, Mercurius, Psorinum, Sulphur - you can see that the Psoric nosode is listed here as well as some well known syphilitic remedies.

The important thing when prescribing is not to get too caught up on the 'never well since' or 'ailments from' aspect of the case. This can actually be quite misleading, diverting you from the right remedy, which is always found through the peculiar, individual, high-level symptoms of the patient.

This isn't meant to be a comment on the case at all or an opinion of the treatment done here.

I was just saying that for a guy to be treating her for over a year and NEVER to suggest the nosode.... I thought was dumb. Furthermore it is my understanding that stirring up the suppressed disease is the intention of homeopathy. Especially suppressed gonorrhea. They call it re-establishing I believe. She actually had HAD gonorrhea and it was suppressed by antibiotics, as it is .... So you could be sure what she was dealing with was gonorrhea gone chronic. One didn't have to guess in that respect. It doesn't go away by itself. Trust me on that.

I try not to get involved in what other people are doing on the forum, as it creates a great deal of conflict and strife. I am also not defending (or attacking) the decisions this prescriber made.

I was just saying that the nosode is not an automatic assumption in such cases, and I have treated a fair few cases of suppressed gonorrhoea and syphilis (very common in my AIDS patients) and only occasionally needed to use Medorrhinum. In fact in a few of those cases Medorrhinum caused a huge upsurge of their disease, and had to be antidote with a more suitable remedy.

I am not wanting to imply you are wrong in saying Medorrhinum should have been considered - perhaps it should have - but the fact that gonorrhoea has been present in the patient's history, even that it had been suppressed (an EXTREMELY common historical fact for many of my patients nowadays) doesn't mean Medorrhinum will help, or that it is a reliable step to getting the patient back to health.

The simillimum will re-establish a suppressed discharge or disease IF it is necessary for the patient's cure. This doesn't have to happen, but it often does. It isn't necessary to re-establish every disease the patient has had - it may just be one of them. The vital force will do what it must to recapture its balance - sometimes that is rough on the patient (many old symptoms and diseases needing to reappear) and sometimes it seems much kinder.

The simillimum is chosen on the basis of the peculiar symptoms, and these really should go to make up a bigger picture (totality) which directs us to the remedy. Sometimes 'ailments from' or 'never well since' will be part of that totality, but more often it is not (at least not as a strict repertory symptom). More important is HOW the person reacted to the suppression, as opposed to what was suppressed.

Of course in some rare cases, there is nothing much to determine one remedy from another, and the suppressed gonorrhoea might be the only clear thing. I would be ok with that kind of decision. Cases might get stuck, might behave strangely or unexpectedly, might relapse repeatedly. Perhaps looking at the way this case progressed, Medorrhinum could have been given just on that basis.

I find that miasmatic treatment and theory is probably one of the most poorly understood aspects of homoeopathy. It doesn't help that the theory itself evolved over Hahnemann's lifetime, and then was expanded upon and refined by later homoeopaths. Practitioners tend to pick their favourite version and stick to it.

Dear needgoodhomeo,

The best option for the patient - go to a homeopath in
person and get treatment face to face. Online prescribing
is the least best way to get help.

The forum is not a clinic, the intention of the forum by
the owner is that it is for discussion of homeopathy and
anything else about healing that people want to share.

People on here
generously volunteer their time to do what they can
for all the people coming on here, many of whom cannot
pay for private treatment-people can click on a poster's
name and see the profile of who they are talking to-
The moderator states at the top of the forum, posts are not
from medical professionals and he is not interested in
having this be a clinic, thus there are no standard intake
forms - many people have been helped on here when they
had no other option and they are in pain-but it is a Forum.

needgoodhomeo, I've been trying to read a bit more about chronic gonorrhea. Is it always from antibiotics? Are there specific antibiotics that are more prone to causing it? Or is it merely the fact that antibiotics aren't eradicating the entire infection due to resistance?

Just wondering because http://edguidance.com/sti/gonorrhea/ mentions that Gonorrhea can be treated in 10-14 days with an antibiotics treatment and it seems to indicate that the prognosis would be good afterwards as long as it's treated before it becomes too advanced.
