22 year old female acne

Hello I am new to homepathy and would greatly appreciate help.

I am 22 year old white female. fair skin dark hair light eyes. 103 lbs
prefers cool climates, irritated by hot showers
tend to be anxious

I have had acne off and on since high school i recently tried sulphur 30c for a week and a half and cleared my acne...until i ran out acne came back. I then went and purchased sulphur 200c and have been using it for 4 days now but my skin is starting to break out more. I read that for stubborn problems to try a remedy for 2--6 weeks to cure problem

I also use retin a which makes my skin very dry.

Is the higher dosage causing a purging effect?

should i use 200c 5 pellets 3x a day for 6 weeks?

should I return to 30c?

Any and all help, people that experience similar situations or advice is welcomed and much appreciated

Thank you in advance to all posters!!

This is just a forum. Assume posts are not from medical professionals.
You must understand that homeopathy sometimes causes the acne to return to the skin before it is cured completely.

How long did you use the Sulph. 30c?

Are you sure that Sulphur is the correct medicine? Did you work it out with a homeopath or read enough to be sure that it is right?

You should never put any outside medicine on your skin for any reason. I've seen terrible problems as a result of Proactive, Acutane, etc.

I came to the conclusion it may work because when I took the sulphur 30 c for a week and a half my skin cleared until I ran out... When I wasn't taking anything my skin began to break out again. When I resumed 30c it began to heal and when I dropped the 30c for the 200c I then again began to break out

I have heard slot on here about arnica do u know anything about it?

Can I take both together?

Thank you for ur reply

No. Arnica won't do a damn thing for acne.

Read the description of Sulphur, and see if it is a good description for you.

Do you have many Sulphur symptoms?

To Alicia

I was very surprised indeed to read the statement of Jewish Homeopath on this thread where he stated:

'No. Arnica won't do a damn thing for acne. '

It is obvious that he has not read the many threads where patients have confirmed that they were CURED of the Acne usually within 3 days. These threads can be accessed by him and you by typing 'Acne' into the Search Box on every page of this Forum.

I presume that he is prejudiced against Arnica because it is my own discovery which other classical homeopaths like him have termed 'Joepathy' perhaps due to the jealousy they harbour when their classical therapy did not work for months, while mine did in a few days.

'Re: Help with Acne
From Sally Lue on 2006-04-21

Okay, I know it hasn't been very long, but I seem to be having a positive reaction to this Arnica. I'm taking silica as well, for scaring. Do you think I should stop the silica and just stick with the Arnica? Will it affect the effectiveness of the Arnica?

My acne seems to be clearing up, as do my scars, which I am very pleased about. I just wanted to make sure I'm not doing anything negative to the effects of the Arnica by taking two remedies at once.

Thanks again!

By the way, my dad is very impressed at the rate with which my acne is clearing up, and he wanted to know if you had any suggestions for wrinkles. He's got some pretty significant wrinkle on his forehead, probably from being out in the sun to much when he was younger...

Just let me know if you have any ideas about that.

Thanks,
Sally

Glad to learn that the Arnica therapy has helped you in just 4 days. I too have observed that it works like magic almost overnight but it must be taken in a reduce dosage in the lower 6c potency for a long time in the future after your lesions are cleared.

I note that you have used Silicea for scarring but I did not prescribe it to you. I would prefer that you use only the Arnica 30c for the moment. The immediate need is to first stop any new lesions breaking up and to slowly eradicate the old. Arnica will do this without causing any scarring on your face.

You may like to know that Arnica is not listed as a remedy for Acne in the Materia Medicas and I observed this response accidentally when I gave it to a patient for some other ailment.'

There are many more cases that I have treated successfully with Arnica which you can access by typing 'Acne' into the Search Box on every page.

I have since modified my therapy for Acne which I have copied in the post above which is dated 2006-04-21 and now prescribe:

Arnica 6c in the Wet dose taken twice daily.
I have also recommended that the remedy water is applied directly on the finger tips on the lesions as this accelerates the curative process.

The Wet dose of any Homeopathic remedy is made as follows:

Order the remedy in a 5ml Ethanol pack also referred to as Liquid Dilution in a bottle preferably with a dropper arrangement.
Get a 500ml bottle of Spring Water from the nearest supermarket.
Pour out about 3cm of water from the bottle to leave some airspace.
Insert 3 drops of the remedy into the bottle and shake the bottle hard before you sip a capfull of the bottle or a large teaspoonful which is the dose.
Shaking the bottle hard is homeopathic succussion and this shaking must be done every time before sipping a capful of the bottle twice daily.
