yes do that. I think perhaps you should get the 1m for both of your children - just seems there is a bit of both conditions hanging on.

brisbanehomoeopath last decade
ok i've used the liquid for both of em. if i pick up the 1m it will be in pellets. I don't know how to administer that other than popping a pill directly into their mouth. Please advise.

karinamom last decade
do you have any small bottles with lids lying about? You can make the dose up in those, or failing that, simply dissolve a pillule in 1/2 cup of water, stir and give them 1 teaspoon.

they should really only need 1 or 2 doses of 1M - if that doesn't clear it we would need to reassess.

yeah i have small bottles

whenever you get a chance, what are LM potencies? I read somewhere that 'they are better for children because they are gentler and cause less aggravations'... but i haven't encountered anyone actually using them

karinamom last decade
They are made differently, with more dilutions, which allows them to be used more frequently. This is especially useful when there is a serious pathology that has caused tissue changes, or there is ongoing orthodox medical drug treatment.

David Little wrote an article on them. This is the link.

http://www.wholehealthnow.com/homeopathy_pro/dl-comparison-0....

I do use them but I have found the daily dosing can actually be problematic at times. On the other hand, I have seen some very good results in patients that did need frequent dosing. At Dr. Rajan Sankaran's last seminar he was very positive about his experiences with LM potencies - his opinion was that they seemed to work better than C potencies.

Thanks for the site. I'll get the 1m of the two meds tomorrow. In the meantime, son is having nightmares/restless sleep, moaning in his sleep. He's been hyper- his regular self through the day. Not sure what is causing the sleep disturbance. He was scared prior to sleep telling me there are monsters....

karinamom last decade
Sounds like the China was just suitable for the acute and not his chronic remedy. If he is moving into his normal state China may not do any more work for him.

The nightmares aren't new are they?

brisbanehomoeopath last decade
no he's gone back to a state he used to be in... a little bossy (with me), sweating at night, and moaning and crying out in sleep.
i had given him bell 200 for this, and was tempted to try it out last night, but didn't know if it would affect the china he was on..

karinamom last decade
If he is back in his normal state it is most likely the China will not be useful anymore.

We can try continuing the treatment if you want to list his normal symptoms now.

i didn't give him any med today. His appetite was good, behaviour good. Said he had pain once exactly at 1... but nothing after that. Not sure what is causing the restless sleep. He does have a cold, and cough tho, and some congestion can be heard.

His symptoms: has to be told to go to the bathroom for bm, he has a tendency to hold it, and then gets constipated. His urges are not that strong, but if i coax him i can get him to sit there everyday at a certain time, and he'll go- seems normal bm to me.
Grinds his teeth sometimes, more so when he's sick.
Sweats at night. - head and neck.
Almost jekyl and hyde personality. He can be the nicest, aims to please...
then sometimes gets aggressive, shouts, but then quickly regrets and apologizes. Doesn't like anyone upset at him. Keeps telling me to 'be happy'.
Easily apologizes if he does anything wrong.
Seems very courageous during the day, runs outside, will run wild.
But at night, gets scared and when it's sleeping time these are the recurring questions,
'What if i get lost and you can't find me?' and 'are there monsters?'.. these questions are recurring, but i respond quickly and he's quick to calm down about it and quickly goes to sleep.
He's energetic, jumps around on couches.
His teacher says at school he gets very focused in a task and sits and quietly completes it.
At home tho, he's a bit lazy and will ask for help on tasks he can do on his own.
He loves company, never likes to be alone. If i'm in the room, he'll come find me.
EXTREMELY social. Likes to talk to people (adults) even.. and once he gets to know that i'm talking to someone, he's quick to interrupt and start talking away.
Makes many friends at school, quite popular.
Sharp memory, will remember things happening more than a year ago, with alot of detail.

In terms of physical symptoms:
he has this circumsized redness on his cheeks and on that redness he has tiny bits of acne. They don't hurt or itch, and he's had it since he was 8 months old.
Constipation arises if he's allowed to hold his bm movements.
He complains of tummy aches if he is hungry or over drinks milk.
In terms of getting sick, he doesn't fall sick often- instead when he does, it's pretty bad with a high temperature and as he was now- totally wiped out of energy.
He doesn't like to do things on his own, he likes people to help him out.
He's tall and thin, but eats well. loves smoked meat, chicken, rice, eats veggies only when coaxed, and fruits- only banana and apple. He's not fond of cakes or any sweet desserts, except for ice cream. Loves eggs.
Cut teeth early, crawled at 8 months, walked at 10.5. Completed teething process by 18 months.
Always hyper, running, jumping.
Drinks water and milk well.

As an infant- extremely constipated (rarely had bowel movements), gassy, and irritable- colicky. Threw up a lot of milk, and then would cry a lot, and i would think he needed another nurse, and the cycle would follow.
I used this forum and someone mentioned for the mom to take one dose of silicea 30c each day for 3 days. I tried that, and i think it settled a bit, but can't say for certain.
Hated diaper changes and fought me on every turn. Hated when i coaxed him to eat, would spit out the food at me.
He's affectionate. Loves to hug and kiss, and a little time with a stranger would make him comfortable enough to hug them.

i haven't really given him any med. He's actually doing pretty well, only the sweat at night still. He slept well and thru the night yesterday. Will see tonight.
Other than that, his body seems to be working it out on its own, so will see if the sweats start tapering down.
How long did you say this medicine is in action?

he told me today that he doesn't have any pain anymore, and it's all gone- surprisingly i looked at the time when he told me, and it was 1pm- the time he was usually complaining about it.

karinamom last decade
Ok do nothing. That is perfect. Once you stimulate the vital force to work on its own it should take care of things. Let's just see how things pan out before looking at doing anything else for him.

Now we need to get his sister well in this same way!

brisbanehomoeopath last decade
he seems to be doing well during the day, his nights are a little more restless, needing that comfort that someone is there with him. But because he's doing better each day, i agree, will do nothing for a while and see how things go.
haha- i believe these two take turns on me!

thanks again,
karina

status: a little tired and cranky last night, went to bed early and slept well. This morning, says he has pain 'a little'... what's next? i never got the china 1m cuz the lady i normally get meds from insists that china off is the same as china rubra.

I would wait a little to see if he has a relapse. If you do feel that he is starting to slide towards being sick again, repeat the china with 2 more hits on top of whatever you did last.

brisbanehomoeopath last decade
he was quite lethargic in the morning, so i gave him one dose, china 200 (8 hits).. he seemed to be doing well after that. Appetite is good. He's not overly hyper (which is his normal state) so i guess that's why i was wondering if he's feeling alright.. he seems to be mellowed... but did a lot of school work today, so more focused today.

karinamom last decade
I think you are getting the hang of when to redose :)

brisbanehomoeopath last decade
well, you're doing most of the hardwork ;) i'm just following your instructions... and so far, he's doing great so... THANKS!
Karina

ok he seems to be his *normal self*.... he woke up once in the night.. complaining that his feet hurt. But he's woken up in a good mood, and is doing well.

I noticed the circumsized redness on his cheeks hasn't been all that red lately and the acne bumps that he had are really small barely noticeable.

I'm wondering if this remedy is for his chronic, but how could it be? His usual state is so hyper..

An acute crisis can be a flare up of the chronic state, so a good prescription at such at time can have long term benefits for someone.

Managing any acute crisis homoeopathically can vastly improve the general health, whether or not it is their 'chronic'.

China is one of the remedies indicated for Restless Children, Naughty Children, Disobedient Children, Children who run about. So it *could* be suitable for particular 'hyper' children.

These things only become obvious after a few weeks, once the chronic state reasserts itself.

brisbanehomoeopath last decade
Okay. Prior to this acute ear infection, he was having a stuffy nose for a couple of weeks that would come on and off... he seems to have that now.

karinamom last decade
If the China is deeper acting, it will continue to affect his health for a few weeks - so old symptoms can aggravate too.

If the China was only situational, then he will go back into his old state.

brisbanehomoeopath last decade
so just wait it out for now?
