Help Understand Homeopathy

I was prescribed ignatia for chronic severe tics and OCD that I had since I was 9. The disease I have is actually called PANDAS- anyways the whole disease started with a middle ear infection and then shortly after I developed depression tics and OCD. I took ignatia 30 C for 3 days and my tics and OCD completely disappeared by I was still left with depression and an ear ache. I then took 200c and felt like all my symptoms got worse whereas before they only got better. What does all of this mean? Do I have the right remedy?

This is just a forum. Assume posts are not from medical professionals.
In order to cure you, a remedy should actually make you worse first. This is because a remedy cures via the law of similarity - what it can cause it can cure.

However it is hard to know yet what has happened. The 30c might have palliated your symptoms, and the 200c brought them back (because they were not cured). The 200c might be too strong, and the 30c might not have completed its work, so it has overwhelmed your vital energy (created a proving, a side effect that resembles your original symptoms).

When did you take the 200c, how long have you felt worse?

I took the ignatia 200c yesterday around 11ish. I had been taking 30c every morning for 3 days previously and feeling pretty good. Originally with the 30c I had a abrupt quick aggravation actually. I felt really angry but all other symptoms improved except depression. In the past depression was the last symptom to leave and first to come so I was told to take the 200c.

Yesterday on the 200c I felt worse. Today is strange. I think like I've literally had 5 ear infections in one day. I get a really sharp pain in my ear- my original symptoms get worse and I feel really angry then the pain completely goes away and I feel better and the pattern is repeating. As a kid I had A LOT Of ear infections and also a lot of antibiotics.

I had a lot of things to surpress my symptoms in the past like steroids/ IVIG etc.

Side Note; I'm also taking doxycycline 200mg. Trying to slowly taper off of it.

Well, without knowing your full case, I can make a couple of observations.

The 200c was probably given too soon. The 30c should have been explored fully before moving to 200c. It is possible you might need to move back to 30c.

However, it has been done for good or ill, so now you will need to see the 200c through.

The fact that you are getting old symptoms returning on the 200c though, is a good sign. Aggravations usually come quickly, and may last a few days to a week. After that you should see improvement. I would not worry at this state - you are in the early part of the treatment, and this is not unusual.

How will I know when I've seen it through? My original symptoms will come back I guess?

Aggravations usually start within 3 days, peak at about 3-5 days, and diminish noticeably by 7 days. Improvement will start as the aggravation diminishes. The end of the first week after the dose is usually the first time I will look at assessing the response.

Aggravtion is usually prolonged when there has been a lot of medical suppression in the case. The remedy must dredge all that up and push it out as it has been literally pushed down into deeper parts of you.

But I'm still taking antibiotics on a low dose? Will that change things?

Can homeopathy take care of heavy metals? Should I supplement with vitamins while doing this? Sorry for all the questions. I've never done this before.

Antibiotics will continue to suppress symptoms, but going off them may also create problems. Once you feel improvement, you can discuss with your homoeopath coming off them (which you must in order to fully recover).

Homoeopathy will put your vital energy back in order, and it will take care of all the other minor problems. We don't need to aim at them specifically like orthodox medicine or other therapies do. The vital energy is the control system for your health, and homoeopathy acts directly on it.
