Persistent cough/phlegm problem

Hello, for the past 2 or 3 years I've had a cough I can't get rid of, where I cough up clear phlegm. The problem is erratic; sometimes I will be fine for several days, then I will have an attack where I cough for an hour. I have tried various homeopathic medicines, Chinese herbs and now Acupuncture and some health supplements (Magma Plus and Fiberzyme) recommended by a naturopath. Some of these seem to help, but nothing seems to get rid of the problem. I have also moved recently to a warmer climate, but the problem didn't go away. I have had my chest x-rayed and they didn't find anything. My latest naturopath hooked me up to some kind of digital palm reader and diagnosed me as having an energy level of one (zero being dead), says I suffer from 'psychic vampirism' and thinks that if I can boost my energy level with supplements the problem will go away. I've been in a rather dark place spiritually during this time, which may be relevant. I often feel like I'm Annakin Skywalker after he turned to the Dark Side!

Anyway, I would be interested in any advice anyone may have about this, because I am otherwise healthy but can't seem to solve this problem. Thank you.
