PCOS with acne

Just came across this website while trying to find a homeopathic remedy for PCOS.
Please suggest me homeopathic remedy for my condition

I am 26 years old and married woman. I weigh 116 pounds and height is 5' 2'.
I an a software engineer and currently stay in USA. From the time i got my periods they were always irregular.
I got my first period at the age of 13. Initialy it was very prolonged ( like 6 months then 3 months and then 2 months)
After that, suddenly i used to get it for 2 months but it used to last for 15 days or so.
I went to Gynacelogist and was put on birth control for 6 months.
It became normal for some period of time but again i started getting periods every 15 days and
it used to last for 15 days or so with very heavy bleeding. I went to other Gynacologist and i was
put on some natural medicine. I dont remember the name. It was a kind of syrup.

After that, at the age of 15 my periods started becoming normal. I used to get it evry month and for 4-5 days.
The flow was also normal. It stayed like that for 3-4 years. After some time the duration started increasing.
Instead of 30 days sometimes it took 30-45 days but i was not worried because it lasted for 4-5 days only.

It went on for this many years with my periods fluctuating between 30-45 days. Before two years i moved to US.
At that time i got it in 2 months, but i thought as the climate has changed my body is still adjusting to it.

I am very regular at gym or exercise. I love doing aerobics, swimming, gymming , playing badminton and yoga.
I continued my exercise afer moving to US.
But my work load increased a lot and there was a lot of pressure.
My sleep patterns and eating patterns became irregular. I started having constipation and gas.
I got lot of acne. There was a huge change in my nature. I started becoming irritating and used to get tensed
a lot. I used to be frustrated all the time. I gained around 15 pounds.

Then after a month or so i started spotting. Spotting continued for 15 days so i went to see a doctor.
She put me on hormonal pills for a month. And then again it became normal.

My lifestyle still continued to be same. After that i did not get my period for 3 months. This is the longest
duration for which i havent got any periods. I again went to see a doctor and she did my ultrasound and hormonal tests.

My ultrasound showed that i have multiple cysts in my ovaries.
Hormonal test showed that i have a very high testosterone level. My LDL was high and HDL was low.
My LH:FSH ratio was not proper. My insulin is normal ( which was a good thing).

My doctor prescribed me birth control but i refused. I did some research and found that this condition
can be controlled by doing some lifestyle changes. I started doing pranayam and thats when i got my period
after 3 months. Then for the whole month i did exercise, ate lots of raw food and fruits, stopped eating wheat
and started barley. I was feeling better mentally and physically. My digestion improved. I got other perioed after 45 days.

I continued to follow good lifestyle habits for almost a month though not continoulsy. I would say that i have
eaten high carbs food in between due to cravings. But still i tried to eat healthy most of the time.
After that i have got both my periods after 38 days.

This month i have been exercising and lost weight but i have not done much control on the diet. It has already been 40 days and
i havent got my periods yet.

My issues are: If i follow restricted eating habits i am able to control my pcos but still it is not regular(28 days).
Weight is not my issue. Although i tend to gain weight very easily, i control it because i love doing exercise.
I have some 3-4 hairs on my breast and get pimples around my cheek and in back.

Please help me how to control my pcos better.

It is very likely that you suffer from Endometriosis and Chocolate Cysts which often affect patients with PCOS.

Did your gynecologist mention the terms above?

Mentally i am a very positive person and happy go lucky. Though at times i get depressed or moody. But most of the times i am very enthusiastic. When i think about my condition, i get depressed but then i try to over come it as depression is not the solution. I try to eat healthy food and exercise.

Thanks Joe De Livera. The name Endometriosis and Chocolate Cysts sounds frightening. No my gynecologist did not mention anything about it. Can you please suggest why do you think i might have that condition. I am little worried right now. Is it really dangerous

I have studied ur case but I m sorry to say to u that it is not a as simple case as some of the others to discuss or prescribe u in a open forum. Bcs It needs enough data collection of ur blood, USG, urine and Hormone and also including some photographs of urs of ur skin and face. So I hope u understand y it is difficult to prescribe u here. But as far as I can help u suggesting that start taking Calc Flour 6X at morning and evening, Calc Phos 6X at noon and night both are after 30 min from meal with a cup of warm water take 4 tabs of each to stop it growing it farther worse. This medicine will just stop ur this problem worsening so rapidly and very slowly help u to get well. They will work slow bcs they r bio-chemical medicines. They have no side effects unless u take calcium food or direct calcium farther along with it during the medication period.

U need to have a Dr. who can give u advice in personally like private practice or online practitioner of homeopathy with good experiences of handling this kind of cases. It will b more better if it is a lady Dr. for u bcs the problems of female organs can be well judged by a woman who have those organs in her body too I believe.

Thanks Simone. I will surely let you know.

Dr Showrav- Can you please give me some more information on why you think my case is not very straight forward. And how it is diffrent than other common pcos cases

dreamer12 7 years ago
Ur hormonal problem and digestive system weakness is running at a time with ur PCOS problems. Ur menstrual was normal at a very few periods in ur life time. Most of the time it was irregular and some of the times it was totally opposite of that. So it is really unknown to a Homeopath to guess how much or what aggravation may happen when he implements some medicine in ur vital force unless he examines u from front of u. Only knowing the medicine well never helps the practitioner to heal some body unless he knows cent percent surely about the dysfunction of ur body and repeat reaction of ur body.

While u have too many tough things complicating ur natural body mechanism from very long it is also hard to find out what to cure first. More over some symptoms indicates one remedy and other indicates the remedy that at a time cancels the first one. In this types of cases we usually need to examine and find out the very light difference with each other and which is y it is not possible to treat u with using only 3 or 4 medicine one after another from a grat distance. So I sorry that I m leaving u only on hope that some one will sent by Allah to cure u in future. May b my bad luck that I m not that person who was sent for u today.
