StealMe,

I write to say 'hang in there'.

I delivered my first son at age 35. Also suffered sleep-deprivation and sweat and anxiety and peri-menopause and Progeterone at level ZERO.
After years of allopathic, chinese herbs, western herbs, accupuncture, HRT, the only true healing was homeopathy through this site.
I, too, was overdosed on SEPIA 1M, before coming to ABC. It took months to ride it out, but now, 4 1/2 years into using homeopathy EXCLUSIVELY to heal self and son, we are alive and radiant and nurture peaceful, loving relationships with ourselves and others.
Yes, what you do will affect your son, but not 'harm' him.

I encourage you to be explicit and forthright with your mental, emotional and physical experiences no matter how insignificant or intimate they may seem.

Seeing a bright healthy future for you,
peanutyogi

Zady,

Thanks for your response. I took the Nux last night and felt I slept better. I was still woken twice by my son, but felt that HE woke me up, and that I wasn't already awake. I was also able to get back to a stronger sleep quickly after tending to him.

I received the Kali Phos so will be starting that today. Will report back in a week unless I have more questions.

Many thanks!

Jbpeanut - I am not sure how to respond just to you or start a new thread for you. But thank you for your message. I'm so happy you're doing better! I too believe I am experiencing peri-menopause after childbirth. My progesterone was also extremely low (don't recall the #) and I had many symptoms like yours. I truly hope I can find relief as you have.

Zady,

I am just checking in to see if you have any insight.

As I reported earlier to you, I took the single dose of Nux Vomica on the 22nd and was again sleeping better (aside from baby waking me) since that night. I started the Kali Phos on Friday the 23rd and have been taking it as you recommended.

Last night, I was unable to fall asleep until after midnight when I nursed my baby during a night waking. Nursing him has often helped put me to sleep so I was actually somewhat happy he woke up last night.

While trying to sleep before I got up for him, I felt slightly anxious in my body, and my heart seemed to be beating just a bit faster than normal. It was nothing really uncomfortable, I just felt I couldn't relax 100%, like I was just physically alert.

I had a cup of decaf coffee yesterday morning, and I remember you said to stay away from it. But I didn't have any coffee when I contacted you just last week about not being able to fall asleep, and you recommended the Nux one more time.

Also today, I feel VERY weepy. I am not getting along with my husband, we are having a lot of problems and I feel very hurt and misunderstood by him. This has been going on for months, and for the most part I am able to 'deal' with it and not let it get to me too much. But over the weekend we argued, and last night he said something which I am just having a hard time getting past. Today I can't stop feeling like I want to cry, which is a bit abnormal for me lately. I do tend to hold onto things emotionally, but today seems extra intense.

I do believe my night sweats have improved though, since taking my very first dose of Nux a couple of weeks ago.

My son is still waking...I think I'm creating a bad habit with him, always nursing him back to sleep. He only wants to fall asleep on my breast and we've done that forever (nursed to sleep), but he used to transition to his crib just fine after done eating. Now he just cries when I remove him, and I have to repeat repeat repeat until he finally goes down. When he wakes at night, he won't go back to sleep w/o nursing. Anyway, that's just additional info, not expecting you to comment on that.

Did my cup of coffee possibly do something to the remedy? Is my weepiness just part of the emotional difficulties I'm going through or is it being exacerbated by a remedy? Like I mentioned, I tend to be emotional anyway but today feels extra sad.

Thank you for your thoughts.

Ignatia 30C

Dissolve 5 pills in 3 tablespoons water, stir a few times.

Take 1st tablespoon
wait 15 mins
take 2nd tablespoon
wait 15 mins
take 3rd and last tablespoon

Please answer the following questions:

1) Are you trying to weep but cannot weep? Is that the case?

2) Do you have any headaches?

3) Do you have any history of emotional or physical abuse from parents/siblings/relatives/husband, which has left an indelible imprint on you?

PS: Not sure about Decaf. Coffee, but in general, coffee antidotes remedies. No worries, we will repeat Nux if required.

Hi,

Can I get ignatia at my local whole foods? And can I take it with the Kali Phos?

I can definitely cry. I cried driving home from work and while putting my son to sleep as he was being very difficult and I was frustrated/helpless.

No headaches.

I feel I have experienced some emotional abuse from my husband. It was its worst about 6-7 months ago (and still now) after giving birth and going through my post partum depression. I am still affected and hurt by how he treated me, and therefore more affected by his ongoing emotional/verbal treatment of me. And he has a temper that he projects at me, getting very angry over little things. But he's not physically abusive.

Other than that I don't believe I've experienced any physical or emotional/mental abuse from anyone. My dad did 'abandon' me when I was about 10 and I have no relationship with him, but he wa never abusive.

Thank you, looking forward to your reply.

Yes, you should find it at whole foods and can take it with Kali Phos.

Update me after 3 days

Thanks Zady.

Quick questions...

What is the Ignatia targeting? I just like to know what each remedy is aiming to achieve.

I forgot to take my first dose of Kali Phos this morning, which means I won't be able to take it until about 6:30pm tonight, and will have to squeeze the other 2 doses in before I go to bed around 10:30.

Is that ok? Or is it better to space them out and I should skip the first dose?

Thanks so much.

Please take it.

Homeopathic meds are prescribed on totality.

Hi Zady,

Ok, here's the update you asked for...it's been 7 days since I started the Kali Phos, and 3 days since the Ignatia. I am going to give you an overall picture of everything, vs. just some of my most recent complaints.

Oh - and I was unable to take my last 3 doses of Kali Phos because I ran out! And since I had to order it, I was unable to go buy more at the health food store. I hope this is ok. It was just yesterday that I missed.

Sleep: Overall, I'm sleeping much better. I am able to fall asleep quickly, (except for the one night I told you about earlier this week), and usually stay asleep unless my son wakes me up. If he does, I can typically get back to sleep quickly, within about 10-20 minutes. Quality of sleep is good, dreams are minimal and when I do dream, not upsetting or scary. EXCEPTION: Last night, my son did NOT wake up in the middle of the night for once, but I did around 2:30am, probably expecting he would. I had a hard time getting back into good sleep, anticipating maybe that he would wake any minute. He did wake around 5am. I brought him into bed, nursed, and then fell into hard sleep until almost 7am (slept through my alarm).

My son is still waking a fair amount, and wanting to nurse to sleep when he wakes, but he's cutting a tooth I just realized. Perhaps that's why he's been having so much trouble lately.

Overall alertness: I have only felt super sleepy during my commute or during the day a handful of times. Most days, I feel pretty alert and awake.

Focus: I still find myself super distracted at work. I just don't want to work, would rather shop online, look at facebook, stuff like that. This isn't totally abnormal for me, but I'm just totally distracted lately by personal interests at work. Maybe I'm not that inspired by my current projects, I'm not sure.

Tennis elbow: Feels about 80% resolved! And I haven't been doing anything for it. Still a little stiff/achy, especially in the morning. But feeling much better.

Overall joint stiffness in AM: Seems to have improved a bit. Or else, I am just not as fixated on it when I get out of bed in the morning.

Mood: Has felt significantly better the last 2-3 days. I feel happier, more optimistic, lighter. This could be in large part due to the fact my husband has been out of town since Tuesday. It's a relief, I feel like a weight has been lifted, not having the tension of our relationship in the house, or just not even having to interact with him. How sad...but I'm really enjoying being on my own with my son, and just having the house to myself. I've always liked that, being alone, having the house to myself, doing my own thing and not having to worry about someone else. I feel very independent, free, and relaxed. Also, it's nice coming home and things aren't a mess from someone else. I just truly am enjoying this time away from him right now, we've not been in a very good place the last 8 months, since my son was born. When we're around each other, it feels like we're trying too hard and it's exhausting.

One thing I've noticed once or twice is that I sometimes feel like there's a pressure on my chest, like a slight tightness or a weight. It happens if I think about something related to my son that upsets me, like am I endangering him with something I've done (taking all the supplements I take, or the homeopathy). I think it's probably a bit of anxiety, which I haven't really felt a lot in the last few months like that. It doesn't really bother me. It's not super intense and goes away quickly as soon as I stop thinking about it. But that particular sensation of the weight on my chest is kind of new to me. Just thought it might be worth mentioning.

I think this might be it? Thanks so much!

Ok, wait 3 more days.

Take Kali phos 6X twice a day only.

Zady101 last decade
Ok. But since I have to order Kali Phos I won't be able to start it in 3 days. I think it took almost a week to get it last time. Is that ok?

stealme last decade
Kali Phos 6x is a cell salt tablet, it is
at Whole foods-Hylands brand.

simone717 last decade
Simone, I looked for this at whole foods last time and didn't see it. U r sure its there? If so I will check again

Thanks.

stealme last decade
Yes - they have a Hylands display case
with the 12 separate cell salts, Kali
Phos is one of those 12.

Call and ask if they have all the 12 cell
salts in stock.

simone717 last decade
Hi Zady/Simone,

For some reason, my Whole Foods doesn't carry all but 1 cell salt (Mag something...). I can order the Kali Phos via Amazon for a good price, but won't get it until possibly late this week/early next week. Is it ok to take it that far out? You recommended to wait 3 days...

Also, my husband is back from his trip and we already fought the first night he was home. I was pretty upset about it at first, crying, and feeling hopeless about our marriage. But today I don't feel as sad/crying. I am upset, don't feel very connected to him anymore, and like I don't want to make an effort towards him because I feel angry with him, but I'm not crying about it very much. I don't know if this matters, but I'm sharing it anyway in case it does.

Thanks much!

stealme last decade
Ok, leave it.

Wait 3 days and update me.

Zady101 last decade
Hi Zady,

Here's the update you requested...I think it's been more than 3 days but I've been unable to sit long enough to do this. I'll give you an overall picture.

Sleep: Still sleeping relatively well. Can fall asleep quickly, sleep fairly deeply except there are times after my son wakes that I have a hard time getting back into a deep restful sleep. Last night I was unable to after his 3am waking, and felt like I was just kind of dozing until 6am when I had to get up.

Alert: still mostly alert but still do have times of extreme drowsiness. Usually at work while sitting at my computer, or while driving. I'm still definitely not getting as much sleep as I should, and a lot of is due to my son's frequent night wakings. They are getting worse, and he's having a harder time going down after each waking. Just wants to nurse and fall asleep that way, then wakes when I move him. It's been very trying.

Night sweats: Might have returned a bit. Last night woke up dripping, but we're also having a bit of a heat wave here so it's been pretty warm at night. But in the past, that never resulted in me sweating profusely. I would just be hot. The night sweats don't bother me too much, as I don't feel they actually interfere w/ sleep.

Tennis Elbow: Still feeling much better.

Overall stiffness in the morning: seems about the same. Moderately improved but still slightly stiff in my joints, especially ankles, when I first get out of bed.

Mood: All over the place right now. My husband and I are fighting a lot, so I've been down. Sad, and angry with him. I don't cry all the time, but do cry a little. I am starting to dwell again on our problems in my mind, thinking about them constantly, being angered by his actions, etc. Instead of just trying to let it go and not let it bother me. I'm also easily triggered by him -he will say something to me and I just get so upset. Usually it's a criticism of me, or something to make me feel I'm not doing something right. I feel I must walk on eggshells around him.

Wish there was a magic remedy for a troubled marriage! Besides counseling.

I that is all. Many thanks for your time.

Ignatia 30C, repeat ONCE only.

Dissolve 2 drops in 3 tablespoons water. Stir a few times. Take 1st tablespoon, wait 15 mins, take 2nd tablespoon, wait 15 mins, take 3rd and last tablespoon.

Give one dose to your husband also, if he is willing to take it.

Zady101 last decade
Hi Zady,

I only have the pellets of Ignatia. Will that work? If so, how many pellets?

My husband will want to know why he's taking it - what are we aiming for by him taking it?

As always, many thanks. I do believe you have helped me considerably with my sleep and I can't believe it. It's almost back to mostly normal and I'm so grateful.

5 pellets.

For your husband, it is being prescribed to lift his mood a bit.

Zady101 last decade
Hi Zady,

I just wanted to check in and ask some questions too.

I am still sleeping very well, except my baby is waking up every 2 hours! Ugh. Seems right when I started sleeping, he stopped. No breaks for this mama, but at least I fall asleep easily now, and stay asleep until he wakes, and can then get back to sleep. Many thanks to you for this.

My mood is 'ok'. I am doing lots of mental positive thinking and a new therapist to hopefully repair my situation with my husband. I never did give him that dose of Ignatia. Oh well.

My other physical symptoms have also remained improved.

So to my questions - I haven't had any remedies since 9/10. Is it ok to drink occasional coffee now? Or still stay away? What about a chiropractic adjustment?

Also, I've been seriously considering emailing the previous homeopath that seems to have overdosed me on Sepia, and tactfully, but seriously, tell her how I feel about it. I'm just wondering if you think that is advisable. I think it's important she know that she did NOT help me, vs. letting her believe she did. Is there a way to approach this in your opinion? Thanks!

Thanks again for all of your help!

No, please avoid coffee?

No benefit in going back to the homeopath?

Do you dwell a lot on the past?
