No, please avoid coffee.

No benefit in going back to the homeopath.

Do you dwell a lot on the past?

How long should I avoid coffee?

Yes, I dwell in the past. And I dwell in the negative. I am seeing a new wonderful therapist who is helping me with that plus other things.

So, you advise against emailing the homeopath? I guess I just think she should know her treatment didn't work.

stealme last decade
Avoid coffee as long as you are on homeopathic treatment.

When did you last take Ignatia 30?

Zady101 last decade
Hi Zady,

Looks like I last took Ignatia around 9/10, maybe 9/11.

Can u post your current symptoms?

Zady101 last decade
Hi Zady,

Nice to hear from you! Not sure what prompted your note? Last time we talked I was mainly asking you if I could have coffee, and you asked if I dwell in the past and I said yes.

I'd say most of my symptoms have cleared! I am sleeping much better, most aches/pains have cleared, and my mood is overall better. Tho I still have some moments. But I'm also working with a great therapist who is helping me manage a lot of my emotional issues/troubles.

Ok, very good. Update your thread whenever you need me.

Thank you so much! Again, especially for helping me. I can't believe my sleep was resolved and I credit that entirely to you!

Hi Zady,

It's been awhile and I wanted to check in about a few things. Will try and be organized.

My 11 month old is VERY wakeful. He started waking several times a night a couple months ago, and lately he's waking every 30-60 minutes. I'm exhausted. Any remedies to give a baby to help them sleep?

Sleep for me is still better (in that I can sleep when given the chance) but the last couple of nights, I've found it harder to get back to sleep between night wakings. I think I've slept about 5 hours the last 2 nights.

My body is SO sore from lying in one position all night, nursing. My low back aches, my mid back, my shoulders, etc.

I'm suffering from a very bad sore throat since Friday.

I'm mentally and emotionally drained the last 2 days. Frustrated. Moody.

I'm concerned this lack of sleep is going to lead to depression again, or anxiety. I do think my PPD from before was hormonal, and that's been regulated somehow, but I still worry that this lack of sleep might trigger something that will bring my PPD back.

Is there anything I can do to help all of this?

Hello,

You need to give all his details, not just sleep pattern.

Zady101 last decade
Ok. I'm not sure what kind of details though.

He is a relatively happy baby. Easy going. Mellow. If he's crying, there is usually a reason...hungry, tired, wants to be held, etc.

He plays on his own very well. But also likes physical contact.

He eats well, and does not seem to have any digestive issues.

He has bowel movements about 2x a day. They are usually normal consistency. Soft, but not watery.

He is not scared of strangers.

Sometimes, he's more observant. He's not always the first to jump into an activity if there are lots of other kids or people around. He will sit back quietly and watch.

But when he's around me or dad, he's very active and becoming more curious about toys, and things around the house. Though he still tends to stick to the places we are hanging out. He doesn't really venture into other rooms of the house yet on his own.

When I come home from work, he often starts whimpering, fussing, when he sees me. Maybe because he wants to nurse? I almost always do this right when I get home.

He is starting to get upset more when we put him down. He likes to be held more frequently.

So far, he likes all foods we've given him. He hasn't really rejected anything.

What else can I tell you?

Is he teething?

What is his shape like? Structure of head and body? Is he thin and lean or round and stocky?

Since when is the night waking thing going on?

Who has had the habit of keeping awake in the night? his daddy?

Zady101 last decade
Yes, he's teething and has been since 7 months old. He's now 11 months.

His shape:
Somewhat large head, very round at the top. Somewhat large forehead. His head is usually in the 50th percentile for his age.

His height and weight have always been in the lower percentiles, like 10th. However, because he's a bit on the smaller side for height, he has lots of cute baby fat rolls. Though he's now starting to lean out just a bit. I would not call him thin, or stocky. I would call him average which I know is so generic. But people often think he's only about 7 months when they see him, because he's a bit on the smaller side. Many 9 month clothes are a bit on the big side for him still.

The night wakings really started around 7 months old. He always woke a couple of times a night before that, but it started getting bad when he turned 7 months, and seems to progressively be getting worse, with brief periods of reprieve here and there.

I'm not sure any of us have a bad habit of keeping awake in the night. Daddy tends to be a night owl, and will come to bed much later than me. But once we go to bed, we are usually asleep for the night (unless baby wakes us). When baby goes to bed and wakes up, we try to get him back to sleep as quickly as possible.

Dissolve 2 pills in 1 tbls water, stir using a spoon and give him to drink. Do this ONCE everyday for 3 days and update me.

I will try the Chamomilla 6C.

When you say arrange Calc Carb/ Calc Phos, what do you mean? Do you mean just buy them?

Are all of these available at Whole Foods to your knowledge?

Many thanks.

Yes buy them.

Regarding whole foods, Calc Phos 6X must b there

Hi Zady,

Here's the update you requested!

It's been 3 nights since I gave my son the Chamomilla 6C.

Night 1: Didn't notice any real difference in his sleeping pattern.

Night 2: Seemed like he slept a BIT better....had a few less wake ups but I couldn't really count.

Night 3 (last night): Only woke TWICE! This is much improved, even from his more regular pattern. It's not often in the last few months that we only have 2 wakeups all night.

I was only able to get the Calc Carb 30C from Whole Foods. They don't seem to carry any 6X potencies at all so I don't have the Calc Phos.

Please advise on next steps, thanks!

Please repeat Chamomilla for 3 more nights.

Will do, thanks!

Hi Zady,

Here's an update from the last 3 nights of Chamomilia with my son.

Friday night: Woke up about 4 times. So not as good as Thursday night with the 2 wakeups, but not horrible.

Saturday night: Woke more frequently than Friday night. Hard to say how many times, but he slept a solid 3 hours after being put to bed, then woke maybe every 1-2 hours.

Sunday night: A bit worse than Saturday, but still not as bad as every 30-45 minutes. Again, slept a solid 3 hours after being put down, then woke about every 60-120 minutes. Once or twice he fell asleep after nursing only to wake about 20 min later crying again.

I always wait a minute or two to see if he's 'sleep crying' which he sometimes does. Just a cry out while he resettles. Once in awhile, that's all it is. If it's not, I end up nursing him back to sleep for the most part. It's the fastest/easiest way.

I'm not sure if the good nights Wednesday and Thursday were coincidental w/ the remedy, or if we're having some sort of regression.

Calc Carb 30

Dissolve 3 pills in 3 teaspoons water, stir a few times and give it to him to drink. Do this once only. No repetition.

Update me after 3 days.

Hi Zady,

I know you said to give the Calc Carb and wait 3 days, but I wanted to reach out today as I gave it last night per your directions, and my son slept horribly!!

He was fine for the first 3 hours again, but then woke and was awake about every hour after that, often with a high pitched cry. Then it seemed around 4am, he just wasn't able to get back to sleep. He would nurse, fall asleep, then be awake again 15 min later. This went on it seemed til about 6:45am when he FINALLY fell back to sleep on his own with daddy.

Ugh. Any insight? Just give it 2 more days?

Have you had success or know of any successes w/ homeopathy helping a baby sleep better?

Thanks!

stealme last decade
Please update me daily. If this doesn't subside in a day, i will antidote the remedy.

The remedy was chosen in the long term interest of your son and it matches him closely.
