Regarding your post:

Is it Bell 30x or 30c? My cold usually starts with sore throat then migrates to the nose. Also, my 9 month old has chest congestion(ratttling), wet deep cough, no fever, no runny nose, it sounds like congestion in her throat. I gave her Ant Tart 6x (3pellets) at 2pm, 5pm, and 9pm. Is that too much? Can I give her more tomorrow? If so, how much??

Treat your throat with Bell 30c taken every 3 hours. (Not 30x). Please read all the post on this thread as you can get a lot of information in the treatment of colds and coughs.

For your daughter you have used ANTIM TART 6x one of the remedies for her cough. You should however use the higher potency 30c which you will discover is more effective and you are also advised to use steam inhalation from a boiling electric kettle with the lid off to help the cough to soften to permit her to cough it up.

Thanks Joe for your reply! Should I give my baby Ant Tart 30C in pellet form or liquid. Another doctor advise Lyc 200 one dose. Which should I use? To recap my baby has chesty congestion that rattles, deep wet cough, although it sounds some are in her throat. She is not coughing a lot. No fever, no runny nose. Happy baby. Sleeps well. For the time being before I can get the higher potency....how much of Ant Tart 6x can I give her?....every 3 hours??? Thanks for your advise! Much, much is appreciated!!

You may use either, in globules or dissolved in water after succussion. The 6x is too low a potency to be of use. The steam is most important as this will help to soften the mucus in the lungs which can be coughed up more easily.

There are about 50 remedies for a wet cough and Lycopodium is another. You should not however take multiple remedies for the same complaint at the same time as this can be counter productive.

I do not think that the Ant Tart 6x can be of any use and would suggest that you do not use it at all as the 30c may not be effective otherwise. Use the steam till you get the remedy.

My 9 month old has had a fever of 101-102.6 for about 3 days...now showing signs of wet cough and nasal drainage. I gave her belladona 30C. I now think she has the flu...I have Influenzinum 30c...do you think I should give her one dose? Thanks....

At this stage Influenzinum will not help. The virus has now left your baby and Pulsatilla 30c should help her with her cough which is due to the bacteria taking over from the virus.

Bell is used at the first signs of the throat virus to abort it which it will usually do if it is taken in time.

It is best to consult a pediatrician to verify if any other problems have affected your baby especially since she has a temperature.

We immediately took him to our family doctor, who examined him and give some antibiotic medicines and prescribed ear-Drops, to our and Doctor’s surprise there was no improvement even after two days. Our family Doctor advised us to consult ENT Doctor, we immediately took him to ENT doctor, who checked him, prescribed few antibiotic medicines and Ear-Drops. Doctor assured us that there is nothing serious and just due to swelling (MUMS), his ears are blocked and all will be fine by taking his prescribed antibiotic medicines and Ear-Drops and once swelling disappears. Even after two, three days, there was no improvement at all, we were disturbed and were more shocked when inspite of several test and change in medications, as suggested by ENT Doctor, nothing materialized at all. Then we were advised by the ENT Doctor, to admit him to Hospital.

In those days, it was very tough for us to even meet our daily leavings, so due to lack of funds and no support from any of our friends and relatives, (though we, never approached for monetary help, as my father was against it), we had no option but to admit my friend to an ordinary Municipal Hospital managed by the Government, in nearby area, where various specialist Doctors and mostly Trainee Doctor, just did various test, gave him Glucose, etc. etc. In fact what kind of treatment my friend was been given, we were almost, ignorant and knew nothing, as we all at home were in great shock. My father even noticed that in the said Municipal Hospital, Doctors were mostly coming for training purposes only and for them my friend’s case was something new to learn, so they were giving him various kind of treatment as per their knowledge and experiences, but for vain. Seeing the kind of treatment my friend was getting, we thought it worth to get my friend discharged from the said Hospital.

Time and again we also got his ear checked and tested at a reputed institute for the Hearing Handicaped, at Mumbai. whose finding is that my friend is got Bilateral Profound Sensorinural Hearing Loss and there is no change (improvement) from the 1st test done in the year 1987 and recent test done in the year 2007.The result of test is as follows.

Thereafter how weeks and months and years passed consulting and taking treatment of in-numerable Doctors, even consulted and taken treatment of Ayurvedic Naturopathy, Acupressure, Acupuncture, Yoga, and so on and so forth. We even visited various Temples, Church, Mosque, Saint, Maharaj, done Pooja, etc. etc., but all in vain. Since last few years he has stopped taking any medicine, etc. etc., and he has lost all hopes.

Though my friend got Deafness, in the year 1986 when he was in 5th Std., he continued his study with great difficulty and ultimately when he could not cope up with Accounts and Economics subjects, he failed in First Year B.Com and being depressed and feeling nervous left the college in the year 1997.

Thereafter he did various petty jobs and since last seven years, he is doing small business of buying and selling Goggles and Specs at very marginal profit. It was not an easy task for him to do the said business. He faced many hurdles, his customers were taking him for granted, some were even stealing his goggles and specs and few even did not pay him for the goods he sold them on credit. Some time he use to ask father / mother to accompany him for collection of his dues from errant customers. Inspite of all this he did not got dis-hearted and continued his work. Since then my friend is independent and manages his personal expenses on his own.

However since last one year or so, there is slack in the market, suppliers are selling him goods on cash and whereas customers are buying goods from him on credit and do not bother to pay him in time. Some customers have even refused to pay him even the actual cost of goods supplied to them by my friend, which has resulted and forced him to reduce his work. We also strictly told him that no problem you do little business but do it only in cash that too with Genuine and good customers. Now due to tough competition in the market it is difficult for him to do his small business, so he has now stopped going to suppliers and customers. Now by sitting at home, he is gone into depression and talks out of his mind. He does not get proper sleep. He is almost broken and particularly when he see’s his school friends settled, established and married, he also feels the same and gets more disturbed. As of today he is aged 34 years.

This is all about my friend. It will be great miracle for him and for every one of us at home, if he can hear and listen, so that he can lead his normal life.

I was searching for a remedy to protect myself and my family from flu and colds and came across your information regarding influenza.

I would be very greatful if you can explain to me as to how I can have it as a wet dose of arnica teaspoonful every night? How is this prepared? Any information would be much appreciated.
