Hi, Based on what you posted about the sore throat, I would make him a hot tea, with honey, and use some apple cider vinegar in it. I take the vinegar by tablespoons full, but he may not like the taste. For the tea, and to avoid the caffeine try cutting up some lemon, add it along with the juice in a cup with the honey and then some apple cider vinegar, and hot water. Apple cider vinegar is a cure all for all viruses, bacteria, and germs. You can even get him to gargle with the vinegar too. Do it every day at least twice a day if not three times a day until he is feeling better.
Hope this helps.

Please give him Calcarea Carb 30 twice a day for 3 days.
