Old lady panic attacks

My mother is 86yrs young and in the first stages of alzheimer’s . She is healthy but a little frail, hard of hearing and also being watched for glaucoma. She lives alone still and is desperately trying to hold on to her independence. I am worried now as she has started to go into panic about the slightest things. She has started to move things from one place to another resulting in her finding things missing from where they should be. We have had to stop telling her in advance when we are visiting as she worries and flaps. When we take her to our houses for a break she is very keen to go home. When she goes into a panic she frequently says she can’t hear us trying to calm her even though we know her hearing aids are on and when she finally calms she is apologetic. I know we can’t cure old age but is there some homeopathy help for her panic attacks. She has a friend who is a nurse who is suggesting a doctor’s visit and allopathic drugs but I am a believer in holistic medicine and my family have given me short time to try this before they take her to the doctors.
