I don't know if this answers your questions correctly.

Currently: No bloating, excessive gassiness, pain in lower abdomen. No constipation
Still some mucous in stool. I haven't weighed recently but 3 weeks ago, I was 108 and think I might have lost a little when I started to have pain issues.

Better if I eat goat's meat and chicken. Can tolerate a small amount of lamb. White rice is better tolerated than any other grain. Can eat yams, sweet potatoes, asparagus, artichokes, eggplant, carrots, celery and small amount of sauteed spinach

Worse from: eating wheat or cow's milk as well as any type of cheese, eggs, beef, fish, turkey, avacado, potatoes, desserts, cold things are really bad (like ice-cream or frozen type dessert).

Gassiness, Bloating, Rumblings,Constipation ( could have some pain in lower abdomen area):
Green beans, all lentils (lots of gassiness), no cruciferous vegetables (lots of gassiness), sugars (fruits or desserts)make me gassy - seems to ferment) or deep fried foods, wheat, cow dairy, pasta (wheat or rice) causes a lot more discomfort in lower abdominal area and mucous.

Tongue is cracked in the middle and extends out a few places but has improved in the last few weeks. The color is light pink.

I had an allergic reaction to something yesterday and I am trying to isolate but it will be difficult.

I had a combination of "hive-like reaction" and itchy feeling in different parts of my body. However, this one was a "combo" because some of it felt like a bug bite but couldn't see a puncture wound in skin.

This triggered a memory that when I was doing my response yesterday and had technical difficulties, I had left out hives on list of symptoms of reaction.

Most of the foods in nightshade family with the exception of some very mild varieties of eggplant (if eaten without the skin) will give me hive reaction. The first time this occurred was around 2011; made a dish with eggplant, tomatoes and potatoes and had a really bad reaction after I had eaten. This was the first time I had experienced anything like this because I had never had any type of "hive reaction" to anything but penincillin before.

What did I do and eat yesterday: I ate rice, eggplant (didn't have this since a week before)cooked with a little onions, ground coriander, salt, fresh ginger and turmeric and had some ground chicken that prepared by someone else (my understanding was it was just salt, pepper and a combination of mild spices) because it taste like a chicken burger. I ate these foods at lunch and dinner; did not have any reaction after lunch which was around 1 pm and dinner was 6:15.

Around 8 pm I went into the garden to plant a seedling that someone had brought me that afternoon. I was there for about 1/2 hour. About 15 minutes later, I felt an itching near my right wrist and a few minutes after, the same type of itching on my left elbow. Shortly after I itched the area, it was swollen and continued to itch. As the evening progressed, I started to itch more and the skin got red without the rash-like look of hives.

I am still getting itchy spells this morning, but not like when it was hives, but it feels as if my body is reacting to something.

This incident triggered a memory of when I was a child, I would break out with large carbuncles sometimes or did get itchy bumps that were big and my grandmother would refer to that as "my blood needed cleaning out". She knew a lot about herbal medicine and often used in.

I've always had a great memory but during the period of illness, I felt as if I was in a fog and my memory suffered tremendously.

As I've been getting better, it feels as if pathways are reopening and memories are being triggered and the memory is improving.

Today is much clearer and I will try to give you the sequence of what brought me to the doctor's office up to here.

January 2011: Eaten a small amount of yogurt around 12:15 and shortly thereafter I started to feel pain like glass cutting into my in my lower stomach area and broke out in a cold sweat. It lasted a few seconds (unsure how long but could have been about 30 but it seemed longer). Had eaten yogurt for years and never had any reaction.

Had lunch that day around 1:30 and a few hours after, I experienced some pain, a little nausea and a lot of gassiness. The same thing happened after dinner.

This continued after each meal thereafter. I started to think about gluten and dairy allergies and started to eliminate both of these items from my diet. I also kept a log of what I'd eaten.

Symptoms continued with the nausea, gassiness and bloating taking a front seat. The pain was more left sided and in March 2011, the level of pain increased and I went to the GP and was diagnosed as having gallbladder issues and was scheduled for surgery.

I disagreed but agreed to talk to the surgeon because first, gallbladder problems would show on the right side. The surgeon agreed that wasn't the problem.

The pain tapered off but the bloating and gassiness after I'd eaten continued.

Latter part of May 2011: Started to have severe gastro intestinal pain and diarrhea. I went for almost 24 hours until there was only lots of mucous coming out. I was referred to a GI specialist and an upper and lower endoscopy were done. The results were inconclusive and a few areas showed some changed, but it wasn't significant enough but the doctor diagnosed ulcerated colitis with proctitis. Asacol, 2400 mg was prescribed and told I'd have to take this for the rest of my life.

Took it until September 2011 and the pain was gone, but still had bloating, constipation, gassiness.

My hair was falling out in large amounts and I wasn't happy with my doctor because she wasn't open to there could be other problems.

I tried to get a referral to a different hospital and it was a long fight because I couldn't to the other hospital without a referral from treating physician and she refused to give me one.

2012: While I was waiting, I decided to try holistic medicine and started with acupuncture which gave some relief but constipation had become a bigger issue(asacol didn't help this).

I decided to try a different location of that facility and my research showed the head of the department was considered one of the top 3 GI doctors around. I petitioned for a referral and was given one.

He disagreed with her diagnosis and ran his own tests which were inconclusive.

I decided to move away from allopathy and shopped around for a homeopathic practitioner. Alternative physicians aren't as easy to find in my area and it wasn't easy to access the ones in other areas or the good ones weren't accepting new clients.
The first Homeo. pract. one put me on GAPS diet and I could only eat 5 things and stayed on that for a long time. I had already lost a lot of weight but this put me over the edge.

I was starting to have a lot of doubts about finding a good practitioner and a family member found one through a referral. She was classically trained but dealt with some other esoteric methods (non-homeopathic - sound therapy, acting out that an ancestor from past could be affecting your, etc.). She had prescribed a few remedies but arsenicum 6x liquid dilution worked fairly well and after years of not remembering my dreams, I was sleeping better and dreaming vividly. She also spyrogenics formula which helped remove a lot of mucous but constipation, weight and allergy issues continued. I decided to part company because it was costly not giving me the results.

Early 2013: Tried ayurvedic doctor but she wasn't very good. Found out that like homeopathy, there is classically trained and don't know what to call the other type but they practice a little like some homeopathic physicians - treating more symptomatic and haven't spent the years understanding the root of the disease and how it manifests.

April 2013: Went to 1st classically trained ayurvedic doctor. She helped somewhat and symptoms improved, but I still couldn't eat a variety of foods and while I gained a little weight, I lost it quickly.

In May 2014 she decided that she wasn't as effective as she felt she should be and referred me to mentor and teacher.

It has been under her care that I have seen the most results. She figured out the pathology and its manifestations into the other organs, however, the oral issue was a bit of a fly in the ointment.

Dental implants put in about 12 years ago and my body had rejected it but was asymptomatic, except for some swelling and bleeding only in the area near the implants. I saw several specialists and each one said my hygiene needed to be better and treated with antibiotics.

Short story, original dentist (kept referring me to the specialist) didn't do anything. He retired and new dentist immediately saw a problem and diagnosed exactly what was determined by the specialist he referred me to. Surgery was done July 15, 2015 and a lot of change has started to happen faster in terms of healing and weight gain.

The remaining issues: healing all the tissue in body that was damaged from years of being ravaged by microbes. Allopathy diagnoses UC as an auto-immune disease and it is this piece that is the largest obstacle to get through (in my opinion).

What sleep?
Since age 13, unable to sleep well because my brain wouldn't shut down. Continued this way and I viewed it as normal and never thought of it as insomnia.

If I couldn't sleep, I would use my time constructively and make plans in my head.

My sleep was very erratic and went for many years on very little sleep. I now know what a disservice I had done to myself.

Dreams - I don't remember much of my dreams except for the period when I saw one homeo. practitioner. However, on brief periods, where I do, everything is always vivid and the details are almost in a painting.

Previously, there was one recurring dream where I was being chased by someone who I knew was going to hurt me and I had to get away and I would keep running until I woke up. Sometimes, I would fall asleep and the dream would pick up where it left off, but I never saw a face and they person got close but not close enough to touch me.

I haven't had that dream whenever I do dream.? been of late?

Symptoms coinciding with this? Can't recall specifically but will try to pay more attention going forward.

If I eat out (someone's house or restaurant)I tend to eat more than I would normally eat and have eaten some foods that could be problematic (especially if I hadn't eaten it in a long time). I would usually not sleep well (wake up feeling not rested) but can't remember that I dream after this.

Before sleep? After Sleep? During Sleep? The same response as the one above. I can't recall any specifics but will pay more attention now.

During sleep?

I been trying to tried to write about a hysterectomy and why I had to have it, but forum wouldn't allow.

Essentially, I had to do it because of results that came back. I healed physically but emotionally it was not easy and a lot of internal anger remained after the surgery because I was unable to express what I really felt about the about all of this. In hindsight, I would have looked at other options. The anger was actually directed at myself and I couldn't forgive myself for making the decision that I made.

Hahneman2 7 years ago
The anger is no longer raw and I’ve accepted the decision I made, but it isn’t something I like to talk about.

when did u have the hsterrectomy?

Current activity level?
Do you mean physically active or ambulatory?

Physically, yoga and walking (I am walker and do like to hike a little preferably in nature). I prefer this to working out at a gym. Inspite of physical pain, I am mobile, but enjoy being indolent with a book when the weather is bad.

What things you prefer to do (like)?
Gardening, reading, cooking, movies, theater, entertaining: picnic with friends at a park or impromptu party at my house (loved going to a restaurant when I didn’t have restrictions) with great food, not necessarily fancy but good quality food), spending time near the ocean or lake, being on a boat, driving on country roads, visiting gardens

What things you hate to do?
House cleaning, putting away dishes, having blood drawn, going to allopatic doctor (yearly physical, bloodwork etc.)

John Stanton 7 years ago
I am a home body but also like to travel (haven't done much in the last few years) but enjoy the adventure and learning about people and places. Love to take the path less travelled.

Hahneman2 7 years ago
how do you in crowds?strangers?alone?company of known ones?

John Stanton 7 years ago
No menses since surgery.

Before, lots of pain and cramping with lower back pain prevalent in later years. Each decade, emotional mood swings got worse and would taper off during.
Felt better after menses were over but towards the 5 years before surgery (laid up at least 2 days/month), it lasted longer. Migraine-like headaches.

Cycle was always irregular but lasted longer the last 5 years before surgery.

headaches gone after surgery?

John Stanton 7 years ago
Date for hystectomy should be September (doesn't matter but wanted to correct).

How do you do:
in crowds? Didn’t do as well with crowds and avoided them like the plague but have gotten better and if I went to a concert at a large venue, it is not as bothersome any longer. Used to be very claustrophobic but that has also changed since I started to get better.

with strangers? Depends on the individual; some people are easier for me to be with than others, but in general I am not scared or uncomfortable to be around strangers.

alone? I don’t mind and prefer my own company at times. Being around others take a lot of energy and at one time, I had to be careful about how I spent my energy.

company of known ones? Very much at ease, but sometimes it depends on the individual. Even around familiar people, some are easier to be with than others.
