Poison Ivy
Is pussing 7 oozing...itchy & my s.o. got it about a week ago...What is the best remedy for easing the pain/itch & oozing? Also, how to prevent it from spreading??vtvixen on 2006-05-23

There are many potential homeopathic remedies for PI depending on your symptoms. One of the most common ones (but not necessarily the right one for you) is Rhus Tox, which happens to be made from the PI plant.
It doesn't spread so much as it just doesn't erupt all at once.
A good but expensive over-the-counter medicine is Zanfel.

It is actually for my significant other & I didn't see it until yesterday. Now I have abetter understanding...
It has blistered & really spread. It has caused oozing from the blisters & burns & stings him as well. Some parts have scapped up & are really raw...very red....like a very fresh scab. He got this from a poison ivy plant on the side of the river where he kayaked last week or so. That is the best I know of the symptons. I know it is very irritated & very itchy & stingy...I feel very badly for him

Try Anacardium/ Croton Tig/ Graphites in low potency like 6C.
(Can also apply Graphites ointment. )
One of the three shud neutralise the Poision Ivy rash.

The lost and forgotten remedy, that has been used by your grandparents is called iodine, the problem with idoine is that people don't know how to use it effectively, their is a color code and a method of application, iodine will relieve and remove any virous, cold sore even a tumor if used properly, I used to manufacturer it over 40 years ago, it was all natural.
