OK I bought the sulfur 200C (liquid), received it on Wednesday and gave her 1 dose - which equates to 2 drops in 1 teaspoon of water (thats the dosage for children on the bottle). There has been NO change. Should I give her a different dosage?

KIMMCORN last decade
Dear Kim,

Well the way you have given the dose is ok.
Now repeat after 5 days.
And report after giving two doses.

Dr. Dinesh Sharma:

I am supposed to give Alexis another dose today but I am hesitating because it doesn't seem to be working anymore. This would be her 3rd dose. Her thighs, diaper area, & stomach are covered with Eczema again. She has been itching her diaper area a lot. This is driving me crazy ...

KIMMCORN last decade
Dear Kim,

Apply cocconut oil on the affected area. And please give another dose of Sulphur.I advise you to give fair time to medicine to show its effects.

Dr.Dinesh Sharma

drdineshsharma last decade
So should I continue to give her the same dose?

KIMMCORN last decade
After trying Dr. Sharma's medicine, if there is no improvement, give your child Sulphur 30 in the morning , two doses of Mezerum 30 after every three hours between each dose as well as from ist dose and one dose of SEPIA 30 at night.

I am sure your child will start improving. As dr. Sharma says, apply coconut oil at her rash.

I don't understand these directions.

Kim,

You sound like you are getting fustrated. I've been where your at so I understand. My son's eye's bleed at one point and I almost fainted! I never even heard that could happen and I read many baby books. But, then I also gave shots to my child for false protection based on lies. Anyway....

READ their emails from the top, slowly-and chart it out for yourself. Remember, they are use to speaking in india language~I think?

Are you positive its not a fungus? If you want to see if its a fungus, buy some cheap Athlete's Foot medicine and try it on a small spot for a few days, and see if it improves.

I know 'ist' is probably meant to be '1st'.

And, what about old fashion diaper rash ointments,
Zinc oxide - for the moderate rash.
Acid mantle - this is a brand name sold in stores. It is outstanding for moderate diaper rashes. Can be used with zinc oxide over it.
Butt paste or Triple paste - there are a variety of creams that a pharmacist can mix up for you that contain a variety of ingredients. These are good for severe rashes. One brand that is already mixed is called Triple Paste. Ask your pharmacist for some. It is non-prescription. This cream may be difficult to find, but most pharmacies can order it from Summers Laboratories (1-800- 533-SKIN).
Clotrimazole anti-fungal cream - for stubborn rashes, yeast may be involved (see below). You can add this over-the-counter cream to help.
Hydrocortisone 1% cream - you can put this over-the-counter cream on twice a day beneath any of the other creams to help with severe rashes. It will help with the inflammation. Don't use this for more than several days at a time as long-term use can damage the sensitive skin in the diaper area.
Soothe and heal by Lansinoh. This pure lanolin ointment is excellent for soothing sore bottoms.

Maybe you should take your baby to a local dermotologist or urgent care for another opinion~I would do this anyway because maybe the first doctor made a mistake~they are human.

They are telling you to put coconut oil to create a barrier to the skin so it doesn't get infected by whatever (lots of airbornes). YOu can use Lard if you don't have coconut oil. I've seen some mother use plain old butter~really! I thought they were crazy, but it worked and that's what use to be recommended for burns when I was little. Oatmeal baths can also calm the skin. You need to try a few of these because your baby is probably itching itself silly. An oatmeal bath with some lard/coconut oil/butter would probably make the baby (and you) fell better for awhile.

Dear Kim,

Sorry for late reply.
Well yes continue with the same medicine for next two weeks and apply cocconut oil on rashes.

Report after 2 weeks.

So I am supposed to give her the same dosage every 5 days for 2 weeks? I got the coconut oil and am using it.

The Eczema has gotten worse. It is now further down her legs and further up her stomach and now on her back, as well as in her diaper area.

Is there anything else I can do?

My daughter reacted very very badly to a topical treatment that had coconut in it. Be careful.

I'm sorry this is so bad for you. :(

Well it got really bad - I had to use Elidel to get it back under control again. Been doing a lot of research - have seen a lot about coal tar creams etc ... will that help? I have never heard about this before. I don't want to have to use Elidel on her again.

Does anyone have any products they have had success with including emollients etc.?

KIMMCORN last decade
wrong direction (for health) use of coal tar products...of course same appies to all topicals...

topicals are only (if even at all) useful when skin ailment has nothing to due with internal state/disease--and tis hardly applies to any such--due to reason all aspects functin as one -considering body functon--but such as burns and mechanical injuries can get away with less suppressive complicatios by use of external applicants---now consdiering internal ill--showing skin symptoms as eczema--anything tha will effcet symptoms of skin--is medicinal by effect..thus suppressive --internal ill need be treated inside out---proper homoepathic treatment wil give you such...it also must be noted that intrnal medicines can and will disrupt and complicate --suppress skin conditio--this applies to wrong use of homoeopathy as well..these things keep in mind--if observant will see chages in aspects of patient envolved when suppressive treatment is used..most only see skin and itching-when gone think tha health has been elvated--not true--keen observatin will tell otherwise-and it is in the long run such is seen for those not so keen...i tell this so understnad --not tell what to do...someting to consider..

Well I felt like I didn't understand anything you just said ...

If I am not supposed to use anything topical ... if it is something that is within ... how and what do I fix ... how do i know what to fix ... ????

Ok some of us here are new and do not understand the terminology ... can we please speak english ????????

KIMMCORN last decade
i do not think i am able explain this to you---i only suggest that if use topical treatmnet on child's eczema--be watchful for other complaints occurring--example---disturbed sleep;cahnge in tempreamnet;cough/respiratory symptms;eating /digestive idsorders;anything new after skin (sems ) better....etc...

ok?

Dear Kim,
I understand your frustration, and fear. I am a 40 year old mommy that has lived with eczema since I was 11 yrs. I have passes it and allergies on to my children. Which makes me sad :(

In reading several of the threads regarding eczema on this site, I have notice a few things missing from the questions asked that definitely affect eczema. 1. food 2. enviroment. 3. stressors (this has been somewhat discussed with immunizations) 4. heredity.

Food: In my expeerience, what I eat makes a big difference with my eczema. I have very clear food allergies (milk, wheat, spinach, squash, avacado...). When I avoid these foods my skin is SO much better! I have found that I must watch for these things in lotions and cremes (i.e. no avacado oil in my lotion or wheat germ in my shampoo). I am sensitive to petoleum products, and fragrances. This sounds very limiting, but when people look at me, I look healthy, younger tha I am because I have learned to avoid my major tiggers. When I was eating milk and wheat, I had open weeping eczema on 85% of my body!! It only took 2 weeks off these things (and refined sugar) and the difference was amazing. I have been tested in many ways for foods.
The prick tests are helpful, but only catch about 50% of food sensitivities.

Enviroment: I have many allergies to dust, pollens, animals etc. the worst is mold. I was born with several of these allergies, and others developed as I grew. Today, I can tell when my eczema is influenced by the pollen season starting, or increase in mold counts a few days after a rain.

Stress: The stresses of life can also pull our immune system down. As adults, work or family, emotions can wear on us, for a child with a sensitive system immunizations, teething, illness can be a trigger.

Heredity: Do you have allergies, asthma, eczema? all are related.

These are the questions I would ask about her situation: When did the eczema start? Was there something new in you baby's life that started the same time as the eczema?
Was a new food introduced? her formula changed? if you are nursing-did you change your diet?
Did you change your perfume?
new house? new daycare? a pet? cleaning solutions? laundry soap? diapers? swimming lessons?
Did the weather change -get wetter? more plants blooming? harvesting in a farming area? Does your home have grass?
Did she start teething about that time? or get sick? Is there a new, big stress in your life (besides her being sick)?

Last year I had a bad flare up and I had to become a detective. I traced its beginnings back to my job moving into a new building. The new place had a few water leaks when it rained, that, eventually, got fixed. I discovered that this had been an ongoing leak and then it dawned on me that the building had mold from the constant moisture! (that explained the funny smell and the one hallway that was always humid.) I had experienced this bad of an eczema flare before, when I traveled to the tropics after the rainy season. All these clues told me 'mold'. (needless to say I got a new job in a better building :)
You live in South Carolina, and this has been a very wet year, correct? is your house old? do you have carpet? a basement? Consider hard floors (tile, laminate) instead of carpet esp. in her room. Buy a HEPA filter for her room if not the whole house. Consider a dehumidifier. She can be allergy tested for mold too.

Your baby is young, and you may have to be a sleuth to figure out her triggers. I might take some time, but some of them, she will grow out of with your help and loving care.
Feed her fresh organic, minimally proccessed foods to help her body build a strong immunities and not have to fight off additives that were never intended to be food.
If you want more help with sleuth-ing out her food/enviroment sensitivities, I will be glad to help. (been doing it a long time.) I think the homeopathic medicines will be more effective, if her immunities are not being attacked from so many different fronts.
blessings~
p.s. I clearly understand what John is saying, Do you still want the street lingo interpretation? :P

How do you allergy test for mold? Do you ask for a specific mold test? How is it done?
I have a mercury poisioned son, and the same is true for him regarding the 'triggers'. You never know what they are or where they are coming from....
I built a new home without carpet, and all cabinets are real wood (solid) with light varnish. Paint was very low VOCs, etc. My son is almost cured (thank god) after he was 100% poisioned. He was 'zombie' like until chelation to remove the mercury. He takes 15 good vitamins a night, plus probiotics and cholostrum daily.
This mother is either stressed out or something because she keeps asking questions and I know I (and now you) have given her good advice (in addition to the doctors here) and she doesn't seem to comprehend or implement. How sad for her baby! The baby needs something topical to stop the itching...
The baby could also be having a Candida problem, quite common after shots with antibiotics. Some topical (highly diluted) Grapefruit seed extract from Nutribiotics might be good for her. Also a sight called www DOT curezone DOT com has lots of good advice.

Wow, I'm sorry for your son, but thankful that chelation is available.
I agree, it is so hard to see our children suffer, and KIMCORN needs our support/prayers. :-)
Have an allergist do the test. I prefer 'subdermal' testing. It goes deeper in the skin than the 'prick' tests. This type of testing takes a bit longer because the doctor can only doup to 5 injections in a session and each test is later neutralized. Be watchful, somtimes the mold tests are latent - the reaction takes longer than other allergens.
My eczema almost always results in seconary infections. I use colloidal silver topically because of it's anti-bacterial/anti-fungal properties. It is stronger than grapefruit seed extract. A good 10-15 min dose of sunlight everyday (from 7-10am) is very helpful with fungal infections too.(yeast hates the sun). This is when the rays are most beneficial. I have also used OTC athlete's foot preparations (highest strength) successfully - fungus and yeast are treated the same. These things expedited the healing of the eczema that was infected.
