Aggravation - what does it tell? Page 2 of 5

This is just a forum. Assume posts are not from medical professionals.
First give Phosphorus.

Start with 30c. Three doses in a day ...equal time gaps.

Then wait....shall see response.

Potency rules donot apply to all meds across the board. Different meds have different potency rules.

If somebody is giving you one standard rule for potency choice...applicable to all homeopathic meds....he is misleading you.

'Snowflake' :

In my perception, I do not think that 'Phosphorus' is the appropriate remedy for your child. AND neither was 'Petroleum'.

Since you have already & rightly narrowed down to 'Sulphur', when you said = (I do think there is a lot of Sulphur elements in him). This is tentatively your child's 'Constitutional' remedy.

Try this :
1. Psorinum 200c, One drop liquid (not wet/split dose in water), direct on the childs tongue, the last thing in the night. ONLY one dose.
2. ALONGWITH, (MUST) with above : Silicea-6X + Kali.Phos.-12X. Two tablets of each, as one dose. Such dose every fourth hour, DAILY, till symptoms persist.

CAUTION : You should expect little aggravations (specially on the skin with increased itching) starting from 10-12th day onwards for about 3-4 days.

Since you already have a substantial knowledge of Homeopathy, Please further study the remedy picture of 'Psorinum'. If interested or confused, you are welcome to ask me 'Why is 'Psorinum' SPECIFICALLY indicated in this case'

Do confirm / post over here, IF you benefit from the above suggestions.

Hello Nesha-India,

Thank you for commenting. I already know Psorinum - as a matter of fact orignally I chose between Psorinum and Petroleum.
I gave up Psorinum because he is not chilly and he never has any pustules.
I am willing to hear why (what is the 'unusual') you think it is defenately Psorinum.

I have already given Phosphorus twice, so I see the effect of this first. I must admit that the picture of 'unmanageable child' of Phosphorus hit me strongly.

I find your combination very interesting. I will defenately keep that in mind.

I gave Phopsphorus 30 c three times three days ago. There has not been any aggravations, actually no signs whatsoever.

It is too quick to comment his behavior, but once thing is sure: so far it has not done any good for sleeping. This morning he woke up 5.40!

I have been used to see, that the remedies affect the sleeping habits immediately. What kind of conclusions you can make in this case?

How are his chest symptoms and cough/nasal discharge??

PANKAJ VARMA last decade
The chest symptoms dissappeared by itself and very fast.
He is blowing the nose a lot. But it is not so thick and yellow. It is the type that makes the paper totally wet. Around the right nostil there is dried yellow mucus (because a child doesn't clean the nose that well).

Ask him how is his head feeling...

PANKAJ VARMA last decade
I asked him about the headache. Well, he replied:'at this very moment you ask it, I start to have a headache'. Two minutes later he did not have it anymore.
I wonder if the headache is so normal in his everyday life, that he has learned to live with it?
He is energetic despite of the coryza.
He says he must blow his nose few like before.

Hi,

It is one week since I gave him Phosphorus.

- his coryza has almost dissappeared. He is sneezing just a bit clear discharge, just stripes of yellow in there.
- has not been complaining about the headache.
- his behavior has been quite good. Not exceptional, but better.
- his sleeping has not improved. Well, this morning he slept until 7, but only today.

Hi,

I forgot to mention, that his skin, the atopic dermatitis is a bit worse.
The dry spots, like sandpaper, are larger, and there is sandpaper on arms, too. He scratches them, and then they turn red.

Yes, that's the dad. My son has my atopic skin. I should open a new chain, because I am using so much stereoids.

Give him a dose of Sulphur 200C...in the morning. (Just one dose).
Post progress after 3 days.

You had said:

'Sleeps without the cover and still is very warm.'

Psorinum patient is chilly. So Sulphur is the right remedy....for the skin symptoms.

For information.

Ok, I will give him Sulphur after school.
Remember I told that I gave him Sulphur 200 c three times last summer? He was badly aggravated.
But after that aggravation the skin has been very, very good until this month.

By the way, he suprisingly slept until 7 this morning.

I was thinking about the change of his behavior. He has changes so, that he has been this week more 'gentle'; hugs and sits more in the lap.
Is this change because of Phosphorus?

Snowflake last decade
yep !!

PANKAJ VARMA last decade
Give one dose of Sulphur. Don't repeat.

PANKAJ VARMA last decade
Hi,

I gave him Sulphur three days ago. The itching stopped, but the skin is very dry. Armbends look good, but there was less eczema.

I am quite confused now: if Sulphur helps the eczema, why doesn't that make Sulphur his constitutional remedy?

Update:
He has been sleeping quite well, at least until 6.30. or even longer.
His nose has not been running.
He still is more gentle. I would have like to see him more easy-going, but that he has not been (actually there has been problems at school).

I have one more question concerning remedies for eczema. You say that Sulphur is the right remedy for hot patients. Could you tell me which are the remedies for eczema of a chilly person? I am thinking of myself, because my eyelids under eye are itching and terrible, as well my armpits. I have tried Sepia and Graphitis. Sepia made my situation worse even if I thought I am defenately Sepia. Then I took Graphitis three days ago, there is no eczema, but the lids are itching a lot and I can feel the eczema coming. What else I could consider?

Snowflake last decade
If there is excema of the eye lids and they are fissured....then it is Graphites.

Constitutional med for an individual: One comes from the constitution of the mother and the second comes from the constitution of the father.

Hi,

My son's skin has become worse today. It is not itching, but the large spots are red.

About my eyelids: I don't know what 'fissured' means. Because I have to use stereoids against every doctor's orders, cause I don't want to look like panda.
I took Graphites 30 c three times. That is three days ago, right after I took the eczema off with stereoids. Now after three days the lids are itching, there is a small red spot.
How often can I repeat it?

Snowflake last decade
For your son:

It could be a homeopathic aggravation...which will clear out on its own in a few days.

For you, take Garphites 30c morning and evening for 3 days...then post feed back.

When aggravation takes place, the cure process ahs started.

PANKAJ VARMA last decade
Hi,

I am on Graphites for the third day and I am desperate.

My eyes are swollen, dry, wrinkled like old woman's eyes. The eczema is not thick at all, it is very, very thin layer (like there were dried glue).
The biggest problem is the swelling. I can hardly open my eyes in the morning. The swelling diminishes a bit after washing the eyes with cold water, and after washing under eye turns red.
My right eye is worse.

There is also a spot of eczema on my right armbend. It is like elephant-skin sticked on the top of my own. The spot is 5x7 cm, clearly seen where it starts, is swollen, very red and extremely dry and scaling off.
I add lotion and lotion, but I have the feeling the lotion doesn't absorb (same feeling with the eyes). Of course it absorbs it, but the skin is as dry afterwards as before.

This morning I woke up the eczema on the bend was bit moist. This was new. After waking up the moist (looked like water) dried off.
My arm is itching a lot at daytime, but not at nighttime. I don't even dare to think what happens if I scratch it, I guess it would bleed.

I was thinking of taking Apis or something for the swelling, but I did not want to mess your treatment. So I took allopathic antihistamine, but it did not help the swelling (so this is not allergic). So far I have not added stereoids, but I really have to fight against myself not to.

Have a merry christmas!
