Hello!

A week has passed. My old eczemas are still there, in addition I have large patch on my left armbend, too.
The patches are really red and dry. They are peeling off at nights, and in the morning they are not that irritated.
The sensation is not really itching, it is more like nipping or pinching, hurting. The touch of a sleeve is hurting. When I add oil/lotion, I feel like salt is on a wound and the patch turns out really red.
It does not bother me at nights or disturb sleep. But it is the first thing I notice in the mornings.
There is eczema and puffiness around my eyes, too.

I have been thinking that if the constitution 'runs in a family', could Sulphur work with me,too, because it helps my son's eczema.
My son is quite like me, but he is hot and I am cold (not chilly though).
I was reading about sulphur, and there is lot like me
-hungry at 10-11 am
-my back starts aching when standing
-bushy eyebrows
- I tend to have iskias
- I don't usually sweat, but if I do at night, I sweat on head
- I cannot stand wool
- there is a lot familiar in mind, too.
But I am NOT hot, I don't have hot feet and I don't mind bathing.

I was also thinking if Nesha-India's suggestions for my son (Psorinum, Silicea and Kali Phos) would work with me, too.
But I read that Psorinum's antidote is coffee - would that mean I cannot drink coffee for weeks?? Or is the antidote only homepathic coffee?
I really have to motivate myself to Psorinum... I don't get any headaches from coffee if not having it, but I just enjoy a nice cup of cappucino so much. I find it always very difficult to start a diet or give up candy or something. (what consitution have this?).

Even though I keep reading and reading and searching myself, I really would need help!

i suppose youll have to make a choice between the coffee and getting well, there is herbal tea that can give you a high feeling in the morning,go to your health food shop they can help. fruit juice with warm water, organic yoghurt + fruit

If you feel a hill in the body most times...even though skin itches....take a dose of Psorinum 1M....2moro morning.

If you feel hot ...and throw off covers at night, legs itch while in bed and you take them out of the bed...then take a dose of Sulphur 200c....2moro morning.

Either case...watch response for a week after taking the med.

Hi,

Difficult to choose... According to the differences you gave me, Psorinum would be better, but I don't have that at home. I am leaving for holiday tomorrow for 10 days, so if I cannot get Psorinum, maybe I go for Sulphur.
So I will make up my mind according what I will have on hand.

I think it is better to take Sulphur 30, because once I took 200 on my own, and I got terrible aggravations that I had to antidote them after a few days.
Do you agree?

Because I am leaving for holiday, please advise me in advance with the following questions:
- How many days I can't drink coffee after taking Psorinum?
- After taking Sulphur 30 c three times, and if I see very slight positive effects ( I don't think I will notice anything dramatical), do I continue taking it? How many doses and how many days?

I know I have to make a choice between coffee and my eczema. But, Alangail, I have just bought a great, great espressomachine, that make very think mousse on the top, and that is soooo delicious!

Hi,

I have taken two doses of Sulphur 30 and my skin was somehow calmed and less red this morning. But it is itching more, now it is ithcing, no pinching like before.

I don't know how to continue... I will take off in 12 hours, after that I have no access to internet. I guess I keep taking Sulphur twice a day until... when????

Oh, I have been drinking coffee all the time! Twice a day. I have understood that you cannot drink coffee within half an hour you take the remedy, otherwise you can. I have never noticed it would disturb anything. Hope it won't.

No wonder ..homeopathic meds are not working on you properly.

Hi,

Great to hear from you one more time.

I am suprised to hear that no coffee. Nobody has ever told me that before. I have known only this 30 minutes advise.

My skin is still calm, somehow. You can see the eczema place, but is pale and the skin on it is as thin as elsewhere. No scaling at all. It is still itching.
I have taken three doeses and keep on, unless you have further advise.

Stop taking more Sulphur.

Taking meds on the basis of little knowledge is dangerous.

I know that. That's why I am in this forum and seek help.

I will be back after 9 days and report then.

Hi,

Sulphur helped the eczema around my eyes. But the spots on my arms are still there. They became less red after taking Sulphur, but now the redness is back. Should I go for Sulphur 200?

I have also a question concerining my son. Sulphur 30 c x3 has always helped his ezcema. Last time I gave that for him a week ago, but this time it did not work as effectively. I think I should give Sulphur 200. Can I give it right away, or how long do I have to wait?

The same potency of a remedy in a chronic case should only ever be given a maximum of three times before moving up to the next.

If Sulphur 30c has helped you then yes, I would move up to a 200c, and the same in your sons case. The remedy can be given immediately.

and yes...definitely no coffee throughtout any course of treatment with remedies.

JCS2006 last decade
Thanks you JC for replying. Will do that.

I find it difficult to cope with different instructions, And homeopathy is full of that. I have read and heard that the potency should be rising every time, and you should not have coffee. At the same time I read from several places, that coffee does not antidote if the remedy is right and/or you are not addictied to it. Or I remember a homeopath treating my son very well without increasing the potency.
In addition I am confused that every homeopath finds a different constitutional remedy for a same person...

I follow the instructions given, but the knowledge of different views is quite disturbing.

Indeed, our science is greatly in need of renovation and some standardisation, at least relating to understanding, something I myself am working on ;)

As a closing note, if you again aggravate from the Sulph 200, thinking about giving another anti-psoric, Sulphur really only being an intercurrent. I would perhaps look at Calc.

Good luck.

Hello after a long time!

I took Sulphur 200c three weeks ago. At the time I had two big spots of eczema on my arm joints.

The story went on like this:
- after one week I got the aggravation. The skin got really red, itchy, thick, peeling. It was at it's worst for only one day.
- Slowly the skin became better. Less red and less itchy. After few days there were red circles.
- Then I receive a HUGE herpes on lip. That lasted one week. (It was bigger than normally).
- Then I got eczema on my ears (I used to have that, but not lately). It lasted a couple of days.
- Then I got BIG pimples. It lasted only a day or do. (what was abnormal was that one was on my eyebrow).
- Then I had a feeling of having terrible sinusitis even if I did not catch cold. (I had a bad sinusitis last September and it was treated with antibiotics)
- After two weeks taking Sulphur the skin calmed down and was 90 procent better than before taking the remedy. Skin remained totally calm for one week.

Two-three days ago the skin became irritated again. It is red and itchy. It is only three weeks I took the remedy. Could you please advise me how to continue? Is it so that it is better continue with the same remedy as long as it gives response? How long do I have to wait before taking it again?

What it comes to my son, I have the same situation with him. I gave him Sulphur 200 once four weeks ago and now the skin is itching again (no eczema though, just itching).
