Homeopathy and MalariaDear Sir, Madam
My family and I will be travelling throughout South East Asia and Indonesia for a period of a year. I do not wish to prevent malaria with antimalarials for the significant side effects, and wish information how to do so with homeopathy.

Passkey, will you explain this a bit further? I went on and couldn't find any reference to homeopathy or remedies for sale? Thanks, Sabra

passkey on 2004-12-20Dear Lucky, It is unfortunate that there are 15 or more remedies for treatment of Malaria. Not prophylactic. Even then I am unsure of the remedies killing the parasite.
I did a study on this last year.
Your best bet is to invest in skin protection for the day and bed gauze to avoid being bitten while sleeping.
Malaria, as you probably already know is the parasite infestation from the bite of the mosquito in several countries. The parasite can eventually lodge within the brain and treatment is very difficult. Although allopathic treatment is available and successful.
APIS M, CARBO VEG, CEDRON, ECHINACEA, all are good treatment remedies for the symptoms of Malaria, but I do not know any homeopathic remedies that PREVENT malaria from occuring.
On your trip I would suggest taking some APIS, LEDUM, CARBO VEG, ECHINACEA. More if you are interested. Let me know.
