The ABC Homeopathy Forum

Want To Avoid Chalazion Surgery.

Hi,
In September 2007, I got three styes in my left eye (I never got a stye prior to this). The warm compress took care of it within 3 weeks. Then I got inflammation/bumps in my right eye. I went to the ophthalmologist, and he stated I had blepharitis, which caused the chalazions. I have had the chalazion for several months. It appears I have three, one on the upper right eye (doesn’t seem to have any puss, it is the same color as my skin – but a bump is there. Also it doesn’t hurt when I touch it). The second one is in the middle of the eyelid closer to the eyelash area. This one is smaller and it has a little puss inside of it. This one actually got large, drained, but it didn’t completely go away. I have a small third one on the upper right eyelid, but on the left side (same deal like the first chalazion – doesn’t hurt, don’t see any puss – seems like inflammation).
I have been using the warm compress for several months, as well as washing the eyelid/eyelash with baby shampoo twice a day. Unfortunately, this doesn’t seem to be getting rid of the chalazions. The ophthalmologist put me on Doxycycline (100mg, one pill a day for 30 days) + Azasite 1% (1 drop twice a day – I used for 14 days). Unfortunately, my situation is the same.
The ophthalmologist stated that if the antibiotics don’t work, we may need to remove them surgically. After reading this forum for the past weekend, I do not want to go that route. I am sincerely looking for some help with my situation. I have seen talks of various homeopathic medicines on this site, but I am confused as to what to take. Thank you in advance for your help.

This is just a forum. Assume posts are not from medical professionals.
Hmm.. and can you describe your temeperament to me ?

There are many medicines for styes, and the one which matches your temperament will be curative.

Dr Mahfooz: Agree with your suggestion but wanted to know why Psorinum and not Sulphur?

dear srisri,

You are also right but I considered it Psora miasm, therefore, suggested its one dose if it does not help then the next choice would be sulph.

Where can I get the PSORINUM-1M and STAPHYSAGRIA-200 from? I looked online and don't see PSORINUM. Can someone give me a link to a reliable website where I can order these two.

Dr Mahfooz: Do I take the PSORINUM on the first night, and then starting the following day start the STAPHYSAGRIA?

Sameer: I'm not sure what you mean by temperament.

Thanks

Dear APM81:

Answering to your demand, my advice is the same that Dr. Mahfooz gave you. This is a goos prescription. If there is no improving, then you can try with SILICEA 30CH (in my opinion is better choice than Sulphur).
Sorry me because I can't continue with the observation of the evolution in your case. I'm sure at all that Dr. Mahfooz get a new goal with his prescription as usual.
Best regards
Andrés

Thank you Dr. Mahfooz and Andres.

Do you or anyone else here know where I can buy the PSORINUM-1M? I checked the link on the left hand side (Materia Medica Link), but this medicine isn't available. I greatly appreciate all the feedback and advice.

Dr. Mahfooz,
When you say ABC service, I'm assuming you mean from the products available on this website. I checked and PSORINUM is not being offered any longer. If you meant another site, can you please post that link.

When I was taking antibiotics, I was told not it was a photosensitive medicine and told I shouldn't be in the sun or doing any type of laser hair removal treatment. Does this also apply when taking homeopathic medicine? I am very new to homeopathic medicine, so please excuse my lack of knowledge.

Thank you for all your help.

Hi Everyone!!! If You Have A Chalazion You Must Not Try To Pop It!!! Do Not Go See The Doctor Unless The Described Method Does Not Work!!! Buy Some Ginger In Its Raw Form At Your Local Grocery Store, You Will Find It In The Fruits & Vegetables Section, For about 5-10 Cents You Can Buy Enough!!! Take It Home Go In Front Of A Mirror, Slice The Ginger With A Knife And You Will Notice What Looks Like Water Left On The Blade, Sweep Your Finger Across The Side Of The Knife To Pick Up The 'Water' And Gently Apply It To The Lump On The OUTSIDE Of Your Eyelid, Make Sure You DO NOT Get Any Of The Liquid From The Ginger In Your Eye! I Had One Of these Things And I Heard Ginger Worked So I Tried This Method And In ONE Week, After ONE Application, It Was Completely Gone!! It May Take More Than One Application (If Its Really Bad, You Tried To Pop It, etc.) Please Be Careful, Remember Not To Irritate or Play With It Aside From The Treatment, It Needs To Be Left Alone! Good Luck!
