Procrastination

What should I consider for severe procrastination?

The symptom manifests itself as an avoidance as much as possible
of any task where I think I may
fail. Things that challenge me seem to be a common theme.

I have been unemployed for an extended period and I believe
this to be the cause. I have
not been pro-active in a job search because of the way it
makes me feel.
Please advise.

This is just a forum. Assume posts are not from medical professionals.
You should consider Lyco in higher potencies like 200c or 1m.

At those high potencies, is it safe that I could
manage it myself ?

I saw a Homeopath 10 years ago
and she prescribed Sulphur,
however, the treatment was a failure. Physically,
from the descriptions I have
seen, I am a closer match to Sulphur than Lyc.

Perhaps I'm just unlucky.

At the time of the treatment
10 years ago, was a feeling of
great anxiety and timidity, at the thought of visiting my mother for Christmas and the way I related it to the Homeopath - she could tell
from my voice.

I think she went to 1m, Sul.
but it didn't help.

I see that Lyc. follow Sul.
according to info at
homeoint dot org.

Any further thoughts ?

The question was what should I consider? From the limited info you posted, you should definitely consider Lyco.

Given a choice, you should visit a professional Homeopath who practices Homeopathy and not something else in the name of Homeopathy to manage your case.

I can not comment on your previous prescription. May be it was right or may be not. Given info is too little to even attempt.

A problem like that of yours takes atleast 30 to 60 mts of case taking to arrive at the similimum. Sulphur and Lyco are definitely 2 remedies to consider.

You will be benefitted by Lyco if you:

- Are low on confidence
- Cant stay alone and require somebody preferably in the house not necessarily in the room
- Are scared of crowded places
- Afraid of heights
- Have starting trouble but perform well once taken up
- Have fear of failure and whence do not easily start

If you are a Lyco, you are also chilly normally (except for cerebro-spinal problems) and prefer warm drinks. You also tend to be emotional.

On the contrary Sulphur is a hotty remedy meaning like it cold, is lazy, doesnt like taking bath, wears rags, gives funny logic for things he does, etc. Sulphur also has aggravation around 11 am, gets head aches if he doesnt eat when he is hungry, etc.

You have to present a lot more about yourself to arrive at a similimum. It is a difficult task and often takes a couple of attempts even for an experienced practitioner. Doing it online means the prescriber doesnt have the luxury of direct observation of your appearance, body language, tone and tener, etc.

These are some of my thoughts davros. Hope that helps.

- No remedy should be rejected on modality alone.

- A deep-acting remedy like Lyco should not be prescribed on limited symptoms.

- Modalities are very important. Even if several key notes match, remedy should be rejected if thermal doesnt match. Please read Kent.

- Major symptoms of Lyco are covered above.
