Recurring Chalazion in 12 year old girl

My daughter has had a problem with recurring chalazia. She is very healthy, and has no other medical concerns. Several years ago, all four eyelids were operated on to remove the (we were told by many doctors that it was hopeless, and nothing else could be done). Last summer, it returned again. Dr. Arshad was so helpful, and it seemed like a miracle that it went away. Now, a new chalzion has started. What can we do to get rid of it? Is there a reason that it keeps returning? Should she be taking or doing something every day to prevent it? I am so hopeful that you can help.Thank you so much.

This is just a forum. Assume posts are not from medical professionals.
Please give her one pellet each of the following tissue salts thrice a day for 7 days and see how that affects.
calc flour 6x
silicea 6x

Please observe homeo restrictions.

There has been some improvement. It seems slightly smaller, less red, and somewhat better. It is still visible, and palpable. There is no pain. What should I do next? Continue with same treatment, or something different? Thank you.

If the remedies that Kadwa prescribed do not help your daughter, I shall indicate a remedy that has helped many patients who presented frequent Sties which invariably turned into hard Chalazions which then had to be surgically scooped out.

We have followed the prescription that you gave, but we do not see much improvement. Should we continue with the same tratment, or is there something else that we should be doing? Homeopathy has healed this once before, so I am sure that it will be true again. We just need to find the right treatments. Thank you so much for all your help.

To Ciaobella

Arnica 30c in the Wet dose has helped many who presented recurring Styes like your daughter's. It will prevent the formation of new lesions which usually lead to Chalazions but when this stage is reached and the pus inside the Cyst has hardened which usually occurs in about a month, there is no alternative other than surgically scooping the hardened pus out. This surgery does not involve any anesthesia as it is usually done by using eyedrops that reduce the sensitivity of the eyelid.

Arnica works by increasing the flow of blood throughout the body and helps to prevent the formation of Styes by also increasing the blood flow in the eyelids which is not at the same level as the skin elsewhere in the body. The patient will have to take this remedy for some months into the future but at a reduced frequency of dosage to prevent the formation of any new Styes.

The Wet dose of any Homeopathic remedy is made as follows:

Order the remedy in the Ethanol pack also referred to as Liquid Dilution in some countries.
Get a 500ml bottle of Spring Water from the nearest supermarket.
Pour out about 3cm of water from the bottle to leave some airspace.
Insert 3 drops of the remedy into the bottle and shake the bottle hard before you sip a capfull which is the dose.
Shaking the bottle hard is homeopathic succussion and this shaking must be done every time before a capful of the bottle or a large teaspoonful of the remedy is sipped as directed.

How much is she to take, how often, and for how long? Also, what are the ingredients in the ethanol? Is this safe for her? Does this wet mixture get refrigerated betwween doses? Thank you for taking the time anwser my questions.

'How much is she to take, how often, and for how long?'

My apologies that I did not indicate the dosage which is just twice daily.
She can take a large teaspoonful or a capful of the bottle as directed in my last post.

'Also, what are the ingredients in the ethanol? Is this safe for her?'

There are no 'ingredients' in the Ethanol Liquid Dilution. You can order the Arnica 30c in the Ethanol pack from your nearest Homeopathic pharmacy.

'Is this safe for her'

Yes of course it is absolutely safe as you will only use just 3 DROPS of the Ethanol pack in the 500ml bottle of spring water.

'Does this wet mixture get refrigerated betwween doses?'

Do not confuse the WET DOSE with a 'Wet Mixture'. You do not need to refrigerate it but you may if you so desire. The disadvantage in keeping a bottle of water in the fridge is that someone who is looking for some water can drink it all up. Even if anyone does drink the whole bottle it is absolutely safe as he will only be drinking just ONE dose of Arnica 30c.

Thank you so much.
How soon should we see some improvement?
Also, how long should she take this for?
I have arnica 30c in pellet form - will this work as well, or does it need to be the liquid version?
This is still new to me, so I very much appreciate your patience. Thank you.

Since you have Arnica 30c in the Dry pellets you may start on it immediately. Please note however that the Liquid Dilution in Ethanol is by far more effective. You can make a new bottle of the remedy when you get the Liquid Dilution.

My experience with Arnica for Styes is that they usually disappear in a week and the formation of new Styes is prevented for as long as you take the dose which can be reduced down to just one taken before bed. Arnica in the Wet dose is absolutely safe to be taken for as long as it necessary. You may like to know that I have taken Arnica 30c in the Wet dose nightly since 1996 and at age 81 I am as alert as I was 50 years ago with BP 120/80 and pulse 65. Suggest you too take a capful before bed every night and experience the difference it will make in your life.

Please note that the existing Chalazion will have to be scooped out as it is beyond help with Homeopathy.

Hi Everyone!!! If You Have A Chalazion You Must Not Try To Pop It!!! Do Not Go See The Doctor Unless The Described Method Does Not Work!!! Buy Some Ginger In Its Raw Form At Your Local Grocery Store, You Will Find It In The Fruits & Vegetables Section, For about 5-10 Cents You Can Buy Enough!!! Take It Home Go In Front Of A Mirror, Slice The Ginger With A Knife And You Will Notice What Looks Like Water Left On The Blade, Sweep Your Finger Across The Side Of The Knife To Pick Up The 'Water' And Gently Apply It To The Lump On The OUTSIDE Of Your Eyelid, Make Sure You DO NOT Get Any Of The Liquid From The Ginger In Your Eye! I Had One Of these Things And I Heard Ginger Worked So I Tried This Method And In ONE Week, After ONE Application, It Was Completely Gone!! It May Take More Than One Application (If Its Really Bad, You Tried To Pop It, etc.) Please Be Careful, Remember Not To Irritate or Play With It Aside From The Treatment, It Needs To Be Left Alone! Good Luck!
