Are the following symptoms in a 40 yr old female a sign of Attention Deficit disorder. She did not have this as a child.

Easily distracted, disorganised (house is extremely messy & cluttered), procrastinating, inability to finish even simple tasks(eg. cleaning a wardrobe/desk etc), irritable, hypersensitive, totally lacking in assertiveness, unable to express feelings politely but firmly (leading to low self-esteem & depression), intolerance to noise, short-tempered, gets bored easily. She can devote hours together for things that truly interest her but finds daily, routine tasks mundane and overwhelming. This leads to friction at home since her hubby thinks she is just lazy and irresponsible.

This is just a forum. Assume posts are not from medical professionals.
Please give her a single dose of Sulphur 200c for only one day (not daily) and see how that affects in the next 15 days.

One dose means
If the medicine is in pills form 4 pills. Don't touch pills with hand. Use cap of bottle to take pills.
If the medicine is in liquid dilution form, 3-4 drops in some 20 ml water. Sip up slowly.

Please follow homeo restrictions like no coffee, no raw onion/garlic, no strong perfumes, don't eat or drink anything within 45 minutes before or after taking medicine.

Thank you for your help. While waiting for replies, I was surfing the net and found the following descriptions for Nat Mur & Lycopodium persons.

'....emotionally sensitive and vulnerable, but quite clear and strong on mental and physical levels. They are so sensitive that they feel hurt by the slightest comment or gesture that might imply ridicule or rejection. After being hurt several times, they learn to become cautious. They turn to introverted activities which are emotionally 'safe', i.e. reading books. listening to music, dwelling on ideas and fantasies.

They can become quite content in their isolation. They tend to be self-contained, desiring to solve problems by themselves without trusting help from other people. Gradually, they come to the point of not needing contact with the outside world. If someone intrudes upon their private, introverted world, they may feel resentful. Their primary concern in life becomes, 'not to hurt and not to be hurt'. they are completely incapable of knowingly inflicting pain on others. For this reason, they become very serious. They cannot make jokes that might inadvertently ridicule someone else. At a party, they tend to sit on the sidelines, enjoying themselves by watching others and imagining what they are experiencing.

'..Is afraid of almost everything and in difficult situations, the inclination is to just run away from the situation. They simply want to leave the place, go away, they cannot face it, they don't have the courage to face the situation. And that brings about a state of anxiety, of fear.

A fear even of people, of coming into contact with other individuals. They want to be alone, and at the same time they feel weak. And that is why they say Lycopodium likes to be alone in the house, but wants somebody around to feel that somebody is there (in the next room, in the garden, ...), but it doesn't want to be bothered by that person. The anxiety of Lycopodium develops the moment he feels he is alone, he has no support.'

The above lines are a spot-on description of the patient. Should I start her off with Sulphur or with Nat Mur?

Thanks once again.

You may not be knowing that Murthy (you should know him as you are reading homeopathy online....) wants people to quote the source whenever they cite some valuable research findings by others. i think that you are quoting George Vithoulkas above.
It is not a very good thing to do if one tries to work out the remedy only on the basis of mental symptoms .
Please copy the Questionnaire from the following thread
http://www.abchomeopathy.com/forum2.php/188925/
and post all the questions here duly answered. On that basis your remedy may be worked out.

Hi

The patient took one dose of Pulsatilla 200c and had frequent itching on her hands, legs & scalp. Her father has Psoriasis, which also started as an itch, so she was afraid to take further doses. Will there be any aggravations emotionally too, since she is already feeling quite irritable. Pls. advise.
