ACNE: Sulphur Treatment

Hi!I've had acne for the past 14 years. It became way worse when I moved to US. My acne became worst in the past year, since I moved back to India. My skin doctor suggested that I go for a hormone check up and it came out that the ratio of my female hormones was not normal and my testosterone level was way too high.

It's been 5 months since I've started my homeopathic treatment. I've been taking Sulphur 1000 mg, 2 drops, every 40 days. Last dosage was around 10 drops. My doctor advised me that i would break out a lot initially, but my acne would start clearing soon. I've been breaking out immensely since the beginning of my treatment and recently many pores on my face have turned black. It's a very frustrating phase and I was looking for some success stories online, to learn and share. I believe in this treatment and my doctor is happy with the progress but I am loosing hope. I've been struggling with acute, pus acne, for a very long time and it's long enough to believe that something can actually cure it for life.

I wanted to discuss my treatment with you, just to know if anyone is undergoing a similar treatment, with similar effects. Do you think I am responding to it well?Is it a mild or high dosage treatment?

I would love to hear from anyone on similar treatment. thanks.

This is just a forum. Assume posts are not from medical professionals.
So the skin is worsening or following the same patterns?

Have you experienced other kinds of improvement on the sulphur?

According to direction of cure it is possible that more serious or important symptoms might cure first. When I have been treating patients with skin problems, the skin may be the last thing to cure IF other complaints are improving.

For instance a patient with weak memory, long lasting grief over a broken relationship, poor appetite, indigestion and acne, will probably find that the memory and grief improves first, then the appetite and indigestion, and lastly the acne. This is because disease tends to move inwards, towards more important parts of the person. When cure takes place it tends to happen in the reverse direction.

Often until the inner/more important problems resolve, the outer/less important ones may appear unchanged or little changed.

However, this of course implies that there is progress on those other levels.

Thank you for writing to me. I am sorry for the late reply. I never got an update about a reply on my post.

My skin followed a sine curve initially but later I hardly saw a gap where my skin would heal, rather it continuously broke out.

Strangely, the pores on my skin turned black, maybe just blackheads, and I started breaking out on those spots. And the pores appeared to be black again and it was a cycle where I broke out on the same place again and again. Now, after 8 months,I hardly find any black pores on my face. So, maybe an improvement from that end. But my skin is full of marks..my forehead is covered with scars and it's so embarassing. I am still breaking out. My skin looks dull.

I am being treated for hormonal imbalance. I understand what you saying and maybe to understand my treatment I should check the levels of my hormones.

I don't wanna give up on my treatment but it's disheartening when I see no improvement. I am gonna get married this year end. I don't have much time. It's sad.

If you are seeing no improvements at all, on any level or any part of your health, then demand your homoeopath do something about it. You are paying him aren't you? If so he should be giving you reasons for his poor results.

If he cannot accept that his remedy choice is the wrong one, then change homoeopaths immediately.

This is a link to an article on choosing a good homoeopath.

Please type Acne into the Search Box on the Home page of this Forum and you can read the many posts that advise on this ailment.

The remedy I prescribe which has helped many is Arnica 6c in the Wet dose taken twice daily and also applied directly on the face.

The Wet dose of any Homeopathic remedy is made as follows:

Order the remedy in a 5ml Ethanol pack aka Liquid Dilution in a bottle with a dropper arrangement.
If this is not available the Dry dose in pellets may be use but this is not as effective as the remedy in the original Ethanol pack
Get a 500ml bottle of Spring Water from the nearest supermarket.
Pour out about 3cm of water from the bottle to leave some airspace.
Insert 3 drops of the remedy into the bottle or 5 Pellets and shake it hard to produce bubbles. This is homeopathic succussion and must be done every time before a capful of the bottle which is the dose is taken as directed.

Please post your response to the Arnica therapy in a week.

Thank you for replying to me.

I met my doctor this weekend after 2 months and he was surprised to see me. Along with the Sulphur 1M dose 2 months back, my doctor also gave me staphysagaria and Ignatia(just in case- as balancing my hormones is causing acute mood swings). I was kicked about these medicines giving instant relief and as a short tempered person I am, I took these medicines several times in the past months. My doctor feels the over outbreak on my face is the result of taking Ignatia and Staphysagria, along with Sulphur 1M.

As I am very worried and 8 months down the treatment, I took the next doze, which is 4 drops of Sulphur 10M. I am continuing with this for the next couple of months and if I see no results, I would stop my treatment.
