2 year old speech delay
Hello, I have a 2 year old son who was recently diagnosed with a speech delay. He was developing normal until around 24 month old( he is now 31 months). He started to regress in speech now he only says a few words.laquishaw on 2011-06-23
This is just a forum. Assume posts are not from medical professionals.
Please write some more details about him & his development.
Some more symptoms w.r.t. his birth,any subsequent fall or shock etc. Then only I shall be able to say something. Meanwhile any other doctor on the forum is welcome to deal.But excuse my observation,(without offence to anybody) but that suggestion would be only a guess work.

He is a friendly child. Loves to hug and kiss. He had a normal birth. He has not had any illnesses since birth such as ear infections or any illness requiring antibiotic etc. He had very normal development until his second birthday were I began to notice a regression in speech as well as attention. He was vaccinated and also at the same time me and his father split up and I moved out of the house. He was a little distant for a while and would cry when we would pull up to our new house. He has started speech and ot therapy. I have seen some improvement but not much. I also givce him omega 3 supplement and I also ony feed him a vegetarian diet.

He also grunts alot when he wants something and pulls you to what he wants or puts your hand on what he wants. He likes for me to read to him and also loves music. He can sings some songs using two or three word phrases,but does not use everyday conversation such as hello and bye. He uses only about 2 or 3 words on a daily basis....every once in a while he will say I love you.

Considering the circumstances & his mood symptoms I suggest you to give him IGNATIA 200c daily one dose for just three days.(2 Pills a dose). Then watch for at least 15 days more without giving any other Homeo medicine.Speech therapy may not help much b'cos. it is more a mental symptom rather than any pathological problem.Give him lot of assurance by being with him and occasionally make him to meet his father, if it is possible.I hope he (father) would also understand & be considerate.The age between birth to 4 years is a very sensitive period for a child & their perceptions formed with limited experience & intelligence go a long way in their development, both in positive as well as negative sense.

Just take half a cup of water & dissolve three pills in it or if you have liquid medicine just put one drop in it.Mix well & give him one spoonful in mouth.
Use glass or porcelain cup & spoon. NO METAL please.Throw away the remaining.

I am afraid Ignatia 30c may NOT work & unnecessarily we will be miss-guided. I suggest get Ignatia 200c & give as directed earlier.

My son is now 3 1/2 and he was recently diagnosed with autism. He is enrolled in special education prsechool but he is non verbal. I have statted taking him to the chiropractor, giving cod liver oil. B12 and and occasional alkaline water. He has been in speech therapy for a year with little progress.

I did the ignatia and it helpes with his mood but still no speech. I have also taken him to a spiritual healer. There are no CEASE therapist in Dallas. I dont know what to do. I need help for my son. I want to try LM but I dont know what dosage to give.

appt, for an hour an half and then you
can work by phone or online. It says
it is affordable.
Whatever it takes to do this, do it now,
bc it is going to cost you much more
money down the road if this is not
handled at this time, You want to go
to someone that really understands and has treated this with success and

one if that does not work. You need
to have support that is just a phone call
away from someone who has seen
your son face to face and knows your

1) Tell about the appearance of the child.
Colour of hair: Colour of eyes: Skin: Complexion: Build: Posture:
Height: Weight: Nails: Other details
2) Can you give details about ailments/conditions running in child's family. At the least give details of its parents.
3) What does the child suffer from in terms of symptoms (complaints in the order of priority)?
4) Can you connect these complaints to any other events? What was going on in in child's life personally, physically, emotionally, socially, environmentally when the complaints came on?
5) What are the things, which aggravate the complaints and things which make the complaints feel better? Example- time, temperature, pressure, rubbing, washing, eating, tight clothing, movement, climate, music, consolation, thunderstorm, exam or other important events, smell, noise,light etc.
6) Describe thirst and hunger of the child? (Examples: Average or Excessive or
thirstless or loss of appetite or any other associated details)?
7) Talk about child's sleep habits and problems if any.
8) What are the cravings and aversions in general? Any food/drink craving or aversion.
9) How does the child feel with heat or cold?
10) Talk about child's temperament, personality, fears/anxieties
11) If this is infant, is it being breastfed or bottle fed ?

Apperance: he is big for his age he is in the 90th percentile for head size and weight and 70th percentile for height. He is muscular for a child. He is african american light complextion dark hair and dark brown eyes. He has slightly darken toe nails. He is physically fine he can run play basket ball and is starting to cut with scissors and try to write. Personality: friendly , smiles alot, laughs alot loves to hug kiss and be tickled. Concerns: His speech is way behind he tested on 17 month level for speech. He does not respond to his name beinf called but can follow simply directions like stop go or run. He also need work on bilateral hand movements like zippers and buttons. Food: he loves chocolate, fruit especially grapes .....he will not eat meat only vegetarian meat....he also will not eat icecream but he will eat yogurt.....he will not drink milk or eat cheese of any kind.

He was breastfed only until he was 2. He loves music and loves to play in water. He does not like tight clothing or long sleeves but he will wear a jacket. He likes to get massages. He does not like being held down or restrained. But he will wear a seat belt. He loves to be out side.

phone is 214 821 3133 and he charges
$200 or 250 for the first consult which
is hour and half.
You can look at his site and see cases
of delayed development etc etc.
You are lucky that you have two people
at least to choose from. I hope you
do this.
