How would you get undue advantage? What advantage would you get? What happens to the other person when you get that advantage?

What is the purpose of having two faces? What is the problem with it?

So who has the dual nature? You said when the other person leaves the room he is different for you? So whose nature has two parts?

Describe the other face, the one that is not polite.

What is the problem with being compared to someone else? Why does it matter? What happens to one person who is compared to another?

If someone followed another person to do them harm, what exactly would they do?

I am confused about the answer regarding something changing to be in tune with something else. How does the race fit in to the changing?

I don't really understand that answer at all. What does it mean for something to change into something else? What kinds of things in the world change their nature, change to be in tune with other things?

How does the tortoise feel when it is impossible to race the rabbit? Why does he try to do that?

What kind of strong blow would be an insult? Describe how it would happen, if it was a physical thing, describing the other person and yourself.

Something new has appeared.

What does it mean to 'lure and attract'? What are examples of something luring or attracting something else?

How does a person feel who has been used by someone else?

I think I finally understand what you are describing when you say something changes into something else, changes their nature to be in-tune.

This is just another way of describing the two-faced or dual nature of people. You show a face that is harmless, but underneath there is a person who would harm you. You change yourself to appear to be like them, 'in-tune' with them, but the reality is that you are dangerous to them and not like them at all.

Tell me, what things in nature do this? What looks like something harmless, but actually is dangerous?

If someone was to harm you, what would fill you with the most fear? What specific harm could someone do to you that would be the worst kind of harm? If they were following you, went to your home - what would happen? Tell me the story of that.

Describe the worst kind of torture someone could do to someone else? Be descriptive.

Very interesting.

What are the other qualities of a dog?

brisbanehomoeopath last decade
To be faithful towards his owner and to safeguard him.

gkumar last decade
Even more interesting.

What would make a dog dangerous, what would turn them into a danger?

What would the dog feel if it was loyal, faithful, did everthing to please its owners, but then it was treated badly, thrown out?

I see dogs teased all the time, and they do not become dangerous. What do you mean by 'tease'? What would you need to do exactly?

Describe a dog that is dangerous. What do they look like, what do they do?

How would a dog stop its owners from treating it badly and throwing it out of the house?

Get Lac-caninum 200c.

You have not only described the general qualities of the animal/mammal kingdom (competition, advantage over others, comparison with others, hierarchy, power over others, domination and control, jealousy, suspicious of other's motivation) but have very clearly described the basic conflict of the Dog.

I did consider the snake remedies too - the concept that people have two faces, and the hidden face is dangerous, does certainly make me think of this group. However you did not appear to go further in that direction. Instead you described something quite different.

The dog must please those upon who it is dependent, please those who dominate it or who are important to its survival in some way. They show loyalty to an extreme degree - this is how the dog survives. They feel placed at the bottom of the social ladder. No matter how they struggle people always look down on them or seem them as being the least important member of the group. This makes them angry, resentful, they blame others for this trouble in their life. But ultimately they cannot fight back except in spasmodic episodes, because you are dependent on those in power. To get angry, to act like a wild animal, goes against the civlized side of them. But the wild side is just as valid a part of them, and you often see this conflict in domesticated animal remedies.

This has taken me a long time to understand what you have been telling me. Here are few things written about the state of this remedy.

'Thoroughly subdued, repressed and frequently abused, like dogs and other domesticated species, patients benefited by Lac caninum may become angry and aggressive if mistreated or scorned, but ultimately crave the approval and affection of their masters, often because of a low opinion of themselves.' (Moskowitz)

'This remedy has in it the nature of the dog, an animal that has been totally controlled and civilized so that it has to suppress its basic animal nature and can only express its controlled, civilized side. It is dependent on its master for food and so it is out to please him. Its survival depends upon keeping its master happy by its performance, its affection, etc. It has to perform or it won't be wanted anymore and its master will kick it out. This need to please is the animal side of Lac caninum, but the dog knows that no matter how much it tries to please, it will never be equal to the human. It feels inferior, knows that it is at the bottom of the hierarchy. The animal side is also malicious (if you pull a dog's tail, it will bite you). Lac caninum persons are very passionate, very lascivious. They can be quite aggressive and defensive.' (Sankaran)

'They are naturally devotional 'heart' creatures who enthusiastically give out a great deal of feeling and are extremely sensitive to rejection

They are easily trained, and have a natural sense of obedience.

There is a colloquial saying, 'To treat someone like a dog', which means to put them down, insult them and dominate them. As we shall see this is of great significance when we study the provings of Lac Can.

Great nervousness and anxiety, with feelings of losing control.Sensitivity of the nerves.' (Digby)

If my understand is correct, there should be some correlation in the repertory.

Head, constriction, like a band or a hoop. Pressing, in the temples, as from a band.

Would like to do nothing, would love to sleep from lassitude. In the morning so much prostrated . General weakness and prostration very marked

Heaviness of the head

Want of self confidence (very marked symptom for this remedy)

Inconstancy. Moods variable, changeable. Irresolution, indecision.

Very forgetful, makes mistakes in speaking and in writing. In writing uses too many words or not the right ones, omits final letters or any letters in a word. Can't concentrate or study, very nervous.

Attacks of rage, cursing and swearing at slightest provocation

Every symptom seems a settled disease which is incurable

Feels he is looked down upon and insulted by others

Thoughts, cannot collect, tormenting, intrude and crowd around each other

Very excitable, very nervous.

As I had already said, I am cured or not, this is a secondary thing, but its a privilege taking treatment from a doctor, who makes so much efforts to cure his patients. You are really an asset for 'HOMOEOPATHY'. Really grateful Sir. Now it seems that this headache will certainly be cured. I really thank you for all the efforts you are putting in.

This constant headache has definitely made a dent in my thought process, my thinking abilities and also my day-to-day activities. I really feel very difficult to convey my accurate and proper feelings only due to this headache, which you must also acknowledge, is not unusual.

I have purchased the remedy. If I am not wrong, I have to take a single dose, in a half cup of water.

Regards.

I feel much more sure of this choice. We will repeat it several times before abandoning it, and need to give each dose plenty of time to work.

brisbanehomoeopath last decade
OK Sir. Should I take another dose now (today) or wait further?

gkumar last decade
No wait. There appears to be some aggravation.

Sir,
Day before yesterday (14th February) the condition was worse, with very severe headache. Yesterday, I was feeling somehow better, very cheerful. But, today again, it is worse. Feeling very restless and low and headache is also on the higher side.

Regards.

Repeat the remedy again. Hit the bottle 4 times.

Sir,
As advised, took the second dose of the remedy on 16th. Feeling no change. Condition is same, as before.

Regards.

Very frustrating.

I am beginning to think that without seeing you in person I cannot understand your case properly. All I have is the words written here - I don't think they are enough. I need gestures, tone of voice, body language. I need 2 hours uninterupted watching and listening to you. I just don't believe this medium is right - I cannot use any of my real skills here and you clearly need them.

We could go around like this forever. What do you want to do?

brisbanehomoeopath last decade
You are right Sir. I will try something else.

I don't like to give up on a case. But it just seems that whatever is the clue to solving this problem for you, I cannot seem to get it just from the writing you do. All the advanced skills I have in case-taking can only be used in person, so I feel I cannot really give you the care you need.

It is a shame. I really am sorry.

brisbanehomoeopath last decade
Please don't say sorry. I can understand Sir, it is an internet forum and can be very difficult for a doctor to exactly understand the feelings of a person. Thank you very much Sir for your support and guidance.
