4 year old with speech delay and attention issues. Please help !!!
1 Describe your main suffering?My 4 year old is quite distracted. Difficult to focus. He loses focus very easily. He has speech delays, specially around social interactions. He is having speech therapy that seems to be helping but overall delayed. Have difficulty with concepts under/over/in/my/yours/what/where/when questions. Sometime calls me mummy. Mild fine motor skills delay. Keeps wrist in air while writing. Everything is a battle and he seems to be a world of his own. Does things slowly. His sentences sound rote and sometime from cartoons. When we talk or read to him, we cannot make out if he understood or not.
2. What other physical sufferings do you have in your body?
Nothing as such
3. What mental sufferings / feelings do you have associated with your physical sufferings?
He is scared of going on stage or anything where he is point of attention. Scared of swimming/beach, thunderstorm. He used to enjoy performing but not anymore.
4. What exactly do you feel when you are at your worst?
Sometimes he cries abt something very small or stupid. We typically distract him by showing him video or ice cream or something.
5. When did it all start? Can you connect it to any past event or disease?
Since 18 months. He was late to walk and definitely talk. He got all immunizations on time. Mother took flu shot while pregnant.
6. Which time of the day you are worst?
no time preference.
7. What are the things which aggravate your suffering and which are those which ameliorate the same?
doing something he is not wishing to do.
8. Do your think your sufferings have relation to any external stimuli (like, change of place) or any internal biological changes in the body, like, menses (in females)?
Watching TV and playing on the comp or I-pad are primary concerns. Need to call several times to ensure he is listening.
9. When do you feel better, during hot weather or cold weather, humid or dry weather?
No preference. His body temperature is generally on colder side.
10. Describe your general mental set up? Are you Moody, Arrogant, Mild, Agreeable Changeable, Nervous, Suspicious, Easily offended, Quiet, Arguing, Irritating, Lazy etc.
Polite, Lazy, Distracted, Wavering mind, does not sustain interest in any activity.
- How do you feel before or during a thunderstorm?
Just started getting scared of thunderstorms. Wants to cuddle or go to sleep during storms
- Do you like being consoled during your tough times?
Yes
- Are you sensitive to external stimuli like smell, noise, light etc?
Enjoys TV, cartoons
- Do you have any typical habit or gesture like nail biting, causeless
weeping, talking to one self etc?
none. Used to swing arms but now stopped. Sometime rocks chair.
- How do you feel about your friends, family, your children and especially your husband / wife?
Loves his little brother. Always want to hold him. Always long to play with other kids but does not actually play with them. Its mostly play along with them. But he enjoys having other kids around. Specially he knows.
11. What are your fears and do you dream of any situation repeatedly?
Speaks and moves a lot during sleep.
12. What do you crave for in food items and what are your aversions?
Ice cream, pizza, chips, namkeen, milk and dairy products. Dislikes several fruits grapes, strawberry, cherries etc. Eats normal veggies and food.
13. How is your thirst: Less, Normal or Excessive?
Normal
14. How if your hunger: Less, Normal or Excessive?
Normal
15. Is there any kind of food which your body cant stand?
No
16. Is your sweat normal or less or more? Where does it sweat more: Head, Trunk or Limbs?
Normal
17. How is your bowel movement and stool type?
Regular
18. How well do you sleep? Do you have a particular posture of sleeping?
Needed to be rocked to sleep till 3 year old. Now sleeps on his own. Speaks in dream sometimes and move around a lot.
19. Do you think you are able to satisfy your sexual desires in general?
NA
20. How do you think you are different from others, if at all?
NA
21. What medications have been taken earlier by you to treat the diseases and do you have any particular symptom surfacing after the medication?
used to get sick very often with cold/flu, low immunity but now much better. Diagnosed with low iron around 12-24 month. Now we give him fish oil and multi vitamin.
22. What major diseases are running in your family?
Parental side has high BP, heart condition. Mother side has diabetes.
23. Describe, how do you look like? Describe your overall appearance
Always above 95% in height and 75% in weight. Looks more like a 6 year old then a 4 year old. Slim. 6 year molars are coming at 4 year age.
Would appreciate help and guidance with speech and attention issues.

Dear anujsrivastava, kindly try Natrum Mur-200c once in a week along with Baryta Carb-200c, Kali Phos-6x & Calc. Phos-6x. Hope this will help.
