Hi Rishimba, again from yesterday thick yellowish green mucus coming out of his nose. What is happening dear. Feeding really disturbed.

Piyabhattacharya last decade
Hi Piya,

I have not taken his generals and mentals yet.

Please tell me about his thirst level. Does he like drinking water often or are you forcing him to drink?

How is his general mental make-up? Is he shy or bold, mentally dependent on you or tries to go out by himself?

Is he comfortable in summer or winter? Does he like to be in airy conditions?

What ailments does he generally suffer from?

Thick yellowish green cough says he has bacterial infection.

I guess, he has to be put on sustained dosage of the indicated remedy as his vital forces are not picking up.

Hi Rishimba, please find my answers below.
His thirst level is pretty good.
He asks for water often, I don't have to force him to drink.
He is extremely aggressive and dominant child, very demanding and observant. In his good mood he is a saint and in his bad mood he is a monster. He is always asking for attention but very smart and talkative in school. Not at all shy.
He always sweats, specially his head and under his neck and than when I switch on fan, he sneezes and sniffs and nose starts running. He is not comfortable in breezy climate, his nose starts running. He is comfortable indoors. H doesn't feel cold in winters also, he doesn't take any cover at night time.
Generally he suffers from cold, throat infection and sometimes cough(40 percent) and constipation(30/:). He also has cracked lips while he has cold.
Now in the morning he has thick greenish yellow mucus and than during day time thick clear liquid coming out of nose. He doesn't have any cough.
Please tell me the remedy. Thanks

Please try a CHAMOMILLA 30C four doses on a single day, each 6 hours apart and check for 2 days if he responds to it.

With his mentals and generals, Chamomilla and Lycopodium are suitable remedies for him. Belladona can also be used in acute conditions and followed by Chamomilla.

Does chamomilla help in cold

Piyabhattacharya last decade
Yes, they do provided the mentals match. Your child's mentals do match Bell, Cham and Lyco...so you need to see which one will work better.

You can use Chamomilla now.

Please give him two doses of SULPHUR 200C on a single day, once in the morning and the other evening.

I would like you to note your observations after giving him the dose and report after 15 days.

rishimba 9 years ago
Thanks Rishimba. Will give him and update after 15 days. Sulphur wont do any harm right?
Thanks.again.

Piyabhattacharya 9 years ago
Sulphur is suggested on his mentals & generals and because of the fact that this cold is long standing. I hope Sulphur would change the symptoms and then a suitable symptomatic remedy would be useful to cure him.

To me he seems like a sulphur child based on your narrative.

rishimba 9 years ago
Hi Risjhimba, I have given him sulphur today. I will note the changes and report after 15 days.
Meanwhile can please help me.

Piyabhattacharya 9 years ago
Keep DULCAMARA 12C or 30C with you and in case you fall sick due to cold humid conditions or get drenched in the rain, you can take some doses once every 4 hours on a single day.

This will cure you quickly or even nip the cold before it shows up.

rishimba 9 years ago
Rishimbs,

Just to make sure- She is asking about
medicine for the child ( not herself)

simone717 9 years ago
Thanks Rishimba and Simone. I will keep Dulcamera in hand. Ya its for my 3.8 years kid:)

Piyabhattacharya 9 years ago
Dulcamara should be useful to her child if the onset of cold is due to exposure to wet and rainy weather during this time of the year.

rishimba 9 years ago
Hi Rishimba, I have given him 2 doses of sulphur but Iam afraid it has not made any difference in him. The cold is on and off.
Also the moment he eats bread with butter or kaju or something heavy like kaju barfi , rasgulla, his nose starts draining and he starts sneezing with clear thing coming out f the nose. His nose becomes red too. Is this allergy? Can we do something about it. He eats apples, eggs almonds,so please advise .

Piyabhattacharya 9 years ago
Piya,

I think it would be good to keep him away from
all Dairy, butter, milk, yogurt for a week.

Notice if mucous starts to dry up. Then give
him a small amount of dairy and watch if mucous
begins again in a few hours.

If so, you have to eliminate dairy - until he can
be boosted up so that he is not allergic. Dairy
often does this- and it becomes very obvious if
you stop it and then restart it.

simone717 9 years ago
Come back from Mumbai and after that we will take his case afresh.

rishimba 9 years ago
Sure thanks. Can I give him any pills on a regular basis to stop his cold.so that in mumbai it doesn't get aggravated.
