Hi Pat,
I thought so too about the C.A. As long as it's working on my acnes, I can handle the drowsiness :)
I'm using the Blue Carmomile shampoo and the GPB protein conditioner. I also use the daily herbal body wash. All of them are great and smells nice too.
I haven't tried their makeup yet, but probably will next time. You can probably email customer service at A.O to ask them the question.
Also, there is a sale going on for their product on www.ecoviva.com
Some of the products are 40% off, including the blue carmomile shampoo!

I have heard of using aspirin on calluses by making a paste and applying it to the soles of the feet.
I recently found a bottle of aspirin in my medicine cabinet with a 1996 expiration date and this is probably the reason I purchased it for.
I no longer have calluses on my feet, but I don't know why?
I will have to try this on my face myself.
Thank Adyla.

Hi Everyone,
I have been out of town for the I.D. weekend. My breakouts are pretty much under control, there were a couple new ones caused by sun bathing, I think, but they went away really quick!
Now I have to deal with the red scars on my face. I have yet to try the asprin paste. Another thing that's happening is that my facial skin around cheek area is getting very dry and kind of peeling off - it could also be the new toner I'm using...
A friend reminded me that homeo medicines are very sensitive to smell, so I recently changed my toothpaste to the Tom's brand natural toothpaste without mint. I have also stopped using perfume and essential oils.
Will keep everyone posted about my progress...

I used to use that Tom's Natural toothpaste and quit using it after my teeth got all black.
I went back to baking soda.
My mother told me to use Colgate Total to get rid of the black. It did and fast.
I try to stick with baking soda most of the time. It was the only thing I used for ten years without any problems.
Currently, I use Colgate Total sometimes.
Keep an ey out to make sure you're teeth don't get black

Pat,
Your teeth got all black! Really?!
My experience with Tom's natural stuff has been so far so good. The toothpaste actually reminds me of those herbal ones I used in China more than a decade ago :) But I will definately watch out for the teeth color...
I have used Colgate total and it was pretty good. But now I don't want anything with minty flavor because of the homeo medication.

I have tried many supplements as well. The onle that worked the best for me was Juice Plus+. It's organic fruits/veggies/and whole grains in a capsule. It's also packed full natural antioxidants. My husband know take it religiously b/c not only has it dramatically improved our skin, we just feel better as a whole. because we are now ditributors of it, this site has diasbled the link to my website. But rest assured, i am not here to profit from it. If you don't want to type my URL in, you can always go to the official brand website. You'll get all the same information. And if you want to try it, they'll just assign you a distributore somewhere. I just wanted to let you all know what worked best for...no try sell something.

It takes a while for the tarter (black) to accumulate. It does not happen over night. I never knew what tarter was until I saw it on my own teeth.
Try baking soda when you take your remedies. After that, use any toothpaste you like. I have never had any trouble with toothpaste antidoting my remedies.
I used baking soda for at least ten years and nothing else and never had any problems with my teeth.

Pat 2006,
EEEK! Please don't use that bottle of asprin. Not to long after the expire date, asprin starts to convert into a toxic substance for the body. Seriously. Just call any other Pharmacists to conifirm. It is very dangerous to use. Throw it out and buy a new one.
On a side note. if you make a paste out of asprin and baking soda, apply it a fresh sweat stain on a shirt, let it sit foe half hour, then wash...no stain! WOOHOOO!

Actually-I would caution you not to use aspirin at all. It is a drug and if you put it on your face it will be absorbed right into your system. Try to avoid drugs if you can-I am sure there are other alternatives you can try

Thanks everyone!
Can someone then suggest an alternative and safer approach to get rid of the acne scars? They are very visible on my face , even makeup can not fully cover the redness!
I have taken Centrum and Bayer's One-a-Day before for my multi vitamin needs. But now I am considering more natural supplements. I also watch my diet and get lots of nutrients / antioxidants from fresh veggies, fruits and berries :)

I have also heard that calendula is good for scars in both homeopathic or cream. I used calendula many years ago on some strange spots I had on my legs. It worked fast. Before I even realized they were gone.

Hi All,
Haven't been in touch for some time. Here is an update of my condition.
My breakouts had flared back a few days ago, I think it's related to my cycles. I am still taking Carbo A., I have a feeling that the homeo medicine puts the breakouts somewhat under control (because the ones I have now don't get really big and red and scary), but so far hasn't cured my problem yet. I'm still positive and will keep taking it for some time.
At the same time my facial skin has become really dry and peeling off. It happened around my chin and on the right side of my temple. I am using a little bit jojoba oil on the dry spots, it helps a little bit. This could be because of the toner I'm using - it's the herbal toner from Bigelow for oily skin.
A friend of mine recommended me for a blood test to see my hormone level, so I visited my GYN earlier this week and will get to know the results soon. If I have hormonal imbalance I think I'll be prescribed OC pills. Not sure whether I want to take them now because I also have the fibroadenoma in my breast, which is sensitive to hormones. Anyway, I don't have the results yet so no need to worry what to do next...
Thanks everyone, I will keep you posted for further progress.

Hi Patti,
You must have read about my initial condition from the original post.
According to advice I got from the forum, I started taking Carbo A. on June 24, two doses everyday. Initially I saw improvements - existing acnes were drying up and there was hardly any new ones. But approximately a week ago they started coming back and are quite persistent. Right nowthey seem to be drying off a little bit and I am still hoping that Carbo A. will work.
It's also possible that the flare up occured because of stress. I get stressed out easily and have been busy this summer.

Thanks Adyia :)
I think my breakouts are highly stress related - if I go to bed worried and stressed out about something, I wake up in the morning counting new breakouts on my face! And when I am stressed out I tend to eat more and go for sweet things, which in turn worsens the acne.
Fortunately right now things are not looking too bad. I try to keep a 'cool' mind and it helps :)
This summer has been busy for me because of work and travel plans. But then, when is life ever going to give me a break?!
Thanks for the encouragement. ..

I am still interested to know how the carbo worked for you; can you give us an update in another week or so. I really need to find something to help me son. The only thing that helps him so far is benzoyl peroxide and changing his pillowcase daily. (!!)

Hi everyone,
I wanted to update on my progress but was extremely busy in the past 2 weeks! Here is my update:
Overall my acne problem has definately become better because of the Carbo A suggested by Rishimba - thanks! There were fluctuations in between, depending on my stress level etc, but over the course of 7 weeks almost all the major breakouts receded and the occasional breakouts I have are not really scary and go away relatively faster.
I have taken 3 cubes of the medicine (each 80 pellets) and have stopped after that, just a few days ago. So far my breakouts are still under control and I am slowly working on the scars. I realize that the way my skin is I may never have super smooth and well-toned facial skin, but getting rid of those acnes is a big relieve and I will be very happy if my skin stays as stable as it is now.
Hope my experience helps...
