Throat ache recurring

Throat ache and flu like symptoms recurring. Was successfully treated with Tuberculinum Bovinum when child was 1.5 yrs old. Eczema and congestion issues resolved through Tub. Bov.
Now the child is 15 yr old, had acne on forehead - which dissappeared with Tub. Bov 30.

Now gets recurring throat aches and sometimes fever. Tends to be quiet and sad with only occassional joyful attitude. Is doing well in studies/academically.

Please answer the following questions. Best to have it answered by the boy himself as he's 15 years old and he can give answers on his own.

1) Tell about the appearance of the child.

Colour of hair: Colour of eyes: Skin: Complexion: Build: Posture:
Height: Weight: Nails: Other details

2) Can you give details about ailments/conditions running in child's family. At the least give details of its parents.

3) What does the child suffer from in terms of symptoms (complaints in the order of priority)?

4) Can you connect these complaints to any other events? What was going on in child's life personally, physically, emotionally, socially, environmentally when the complaints came on?

5) What are the things, which aggravate the complaints and things which make the complaints feel better? Example- time, temperature, pressure, rubbing, washing, eating, tight clothing, movement, climate, music, consolation, thunderstorm, exam or other important events, smell, noise, light etc.

6) Describe thirst and hunger of the child? (Examples: Average or Excessive or
thirstless or loss of appetite or any other associated details)?

7) Talk about child's sleep habits and problems if any.

8) What are the cravings and aversions in general? Any food/drink craving or aversion.

9) How does the child feel with heat or cold?

10) Talk about child's temperament, personality, fears/anxieties.

11) Any other details about the child.

1) Tell about the appearance of the child.
The child is actually a girl. She is 5'8'' and about 125 lb. Hair is black. Eyes are dark brown. Mild acne on forehead and cheeks. Nails are white and bend easily (they are flexible, not brittle). Occasional white spots on nails.

2) Can you give details about ailments/conditions running in child's family. At the least give details of its parents.
Mother is being treated for hair loss on this forum. Maternal grandfather died from prostate cance r at age 83. Paternal grandmother died from ovarian cance r in her late 60's. All grandparents have had diabetes. Father has herniated disc in lower lumbar spine. Both parents have had early graying in 20's. Father has daily alcohol consumption.

3) What does the child suffer from in terms of symptoms (complaints in the order of priority)?
Very chapped lips; olive oil helps soothe them. Water and licking of the lips do not help. Tuberculunum Bovinum helps with this as well as mild acne on forehead and cheeks. Tiredness and irritability. Occasional sore throat with swollen glands, especially in winter. Occasional runny nose when the weather changes rapidly.

4) Can you connect these complaints to any other events? What was going on in child's life personally, physically, emotionally, socially, environmentally when the complaints came on?
Stress from school, separation from friends who live in another city. Worries about priorities (studies vs. fun) and college admission.

5) What are the things, which aggravate the complaints and things which make the complaints feel better? Example- time, temperature, pressure, rubbing, washing, eating, tight clothing, movement, climate, music, consolation, thunderstorm, exam or other important events, smell, noise, light etc.
Interruption of daily activities (such as homework, internet use, TV shows) causes irritation. Some unfair treatment and circumstances in school also cause complaints. Cooler temperature, bathing, eating, and time off from school alleviate complaints.

6) Describe thirst and hunger of the child? (Examples: Average or Excessive or
thirstless or loss of appetite or any other associated details)?
Thirst fluctuates. Some days thirsty, some days not thirsty. Average appetite with cravings for sweets. She does not eat very much on most days.

7) Talk about child's sleep habits and problems if any.
9+ hours of sleep are available, but it takes along time to get to sleep. (As in, lying in bed awake for a long time). Often wakes up tired in the morning.

8) What are the cravings and aversions in general? Any food/drink craving or aversion.
Has cravings for sweet things, but does not overeat. Aversions to shrimp, tuna, and sushi in recent years, but she likes cooked fish. She also doesn't like celery or most melons.

9) How does the child feel with heat or cold?
Coolness provides relief, while heat is unwanted. If there is a choice, the heater in her room remains off even if it is cold outside. She prefers the humidifier on, however (to keep skin and lips from chapping).

10) Talk about child's temperament, personality, fears/anxieties.
Moodiness and irritability. She does not talk about problems very often. Quiet with strangers but more talkative with friends and family.

11) Any other details about the child.
Enjoys being alone. Strong-minded. Prefers quiet environments to busy environments. Regular monthly menstruation since Jan '11 with cramps (cramping more prominent in recent months).

Early years/history:
Born 9 lbs 3.5 ounces as c-section. Lactose intolerant, so mother had to stop consuming cow's milk as she was nursing. The times when mother had consumed cow's milk, the baby would get diarrhoea and diaper rash. Colic as a baby, but it stopped at 3 months of age. Then rash/eczema diagnosed, with red rash on face and arms and underside of the knee as a baby. Then rash stopped after many months but she developed cough/congestion. This on and off rash or congestion continued till baby was 1.5 years old. Was given nebulizer with albuterol a few times to breathe during midnite when she had trouble breathing. At 1.5 years, she was treated by Homeopath who gave 'Arsenicum Album' on one day when breathing trouble was extreme. Seemed to help. Then a different homeopath told us to stop all other treatment and gave her ipecac on a day when she had severe breathing issue with congestion. Threw up all congestion, had some relief. Then when she was a bit better, the homeopath put her on a weekly dosage of Tuberculinum Bovinum (may have ben Tub Bov 30). In 12 weeks, her symptoms seemed to arise but in smaller intensity - and all symptoms disappeared by the 12th week. This seemed to cure the child as those terrible symptoms never came again. But symptoms occurred occasionally and the mother was advised to give small doses of 30 when this happened.
So the child has been taking 1 pill of Tub. Bov when symptoms such as lis chapped or skin problems such as acne on forehead or sore throat return.
Please advise, Thank you.

No problem, keep 2 pills as default dosage for her.

So it's from ice cream then? Such important things should not be left to secondary posts :)

To clarify - after she started throat ache/feeling sick, then she asked for ice cream.

throat ache subsided a few days ago. Some cough remaining. Although dark spots/patch on forehead have reduced, still have dark spots on forehead, feeling conscious about it and how can i make the spots go away? Emotionally overall okay, studying hard for exams. Stressed about exams. Sleeping better after getting better from throat ache.

There have been two doses so far, the third one will be tonight if necessary. Throat ache has gone away. Immunity is alright, although every few days her nose gets a little runny. Sleeping badly at night, trouble getting to sleep in the past week. Emotional state is fine, less stress now that exams are over. Overall, she feels good. However, in the past few days her upper lip has become quite chapped. Her skin is getting much better though. The dark spots are almost gone.

ok, thanks for the report. Make the interval between doses from 15 days to 30 days for the subsequent three doses.

in the past week, scalp has been itchy accompanied by some hair loss (generally after washing hair).

her mother has similar problems with itchy scalp and hair loss. please advise.

Was any chemical introduced in the past two weeks? Any thing new?

If it's cause is unknown, then please follow the earlier suggestion and finish three more doses(please reduce the number of pills from two to one) and keep a tab on this symptom.

(noticed she had not taken 3rd CC pill - so has had 2 pills so far total, although her previous message in early July said she might take 3rd pill - she had not taken it) Last few days had sore throat - started day one as sore ---> day two became scratchy & soreness gone: day two she said she felt much better ---> but day three woke up at 9 am throat itchy says she is feeling more tired throat a bit better than yesterday ---but nasal discharge yellow and says she is feeling more tired overall than yesterday. At 9.20 am took her 3rd Calc Crb 200 pill on empty stomach. drank some water before pill.

Had continued itching - noticed dandruff in hair - and larger scabs/larger sized dandruff crumbles from scalp at the back of head at the center point.

Overall - her personality seems to be continuing as somewhat subdued. Last week she was visiting relatives, and this came across. Have not seen her laughing much for the past many years - generally has tended to be serious and measured, pacing herself in thoughts. Is quite afraid of her grandfather who lives with family. He tells her to do errands - and she is emotionally uncomfortable with it but does not know how to deal with it. She silently says 'yes', is not very open with thoughts, not freed up to say 'No' most of the time with others.

ok let her take another dose this weekend. How's the throat now?

Ask her not to take anything for 30 minutes before and after the dose.
