although she is controlled about quantity of food she eats, her craving for chocolate is unusual in my view. her father brings a lot of sweet and chocolate home, and i guess it is natural that she would like to consume it?

not sure if her lyc dosage is complete? i had given her 1 pill before her travel. should i do more - was not able to dilute it or use water - should i do it now?

Yes make a solution of Lyc. 200c in a 250ml water bottle with a single pill. Then from this bottle let her take a drop after shaking it up well-- up and down for 4 times.
Let her take three such drops in a day for next two days every drop 4 to 5 hours apart.
If she improves steadily, continue the doses for two more days.
If she does not improve or if she gets unwanted symptoms, make a feedback.
Also while you write next, please confirm with her and write if the pain is happening when she swallows food, water or saliva or empty swallowing.
Let her take three such drops in a day for next two days every drop 4 to 5 hours apart.
If she improves steadily, continue the doses for two more days.
If she does not improve or if she gets unwanted symptoms, make a feedback.

I checked with her about the throat pain - she is saying that it pains with all situations: swallowing food, water, saliva as well as with empty.

she sometimes takes cough drops to temporarily relieve throat irritation (tickling sensation that causes cough). these contain menthol. is this okay?

she still has fever of 99 degree. she says she is not feeling better and that her throat is still hurting.

started to cry and is asking me to take her to pediatrician - taking her this afternoon. In these 3 years everytime she has had this issue - which has been recurring every few weeks, i have taken her to the pediatrician only to be sent home each time and being told that it is a virus and that they cant do anything.

If she still has got fever, then start her on Rhustox 200c after stopping Lyc if not stopped already. If you have no rhus tox in hand, then start her on Belladonna.
While you wrote she was improving steadily, i assumed fever was gone.

Throat got fully better a day after the 20th.
still left side jaw is locking up. will get rhus tox soon.

she is having some trouble getting to sleep at night although she has been sleeping quite late because of holidays. school starts again soon, so there has been some stress related to that.

the jaw is still locked on the left side. it feels slightly better sometimes but chewing food makes it bad again. it has also started a bit on the right side. this is mostly when she is lying down with her head on a pillow that she feels it on the right side.
she is still having trouble sleeping. she is worried about school starting as well and has stress and anxiety about that. also her lips are getting chapped. however, her skin acne on the forehead has cleared up significantly.
please advise.

Otherwise report after the dosage.
Let her also take Kali phos. 6x tissue salt 2 pills 45 minutes before she goes to bed. This shall be continued for a week or so. Keep me posted if her sleep improves.
