The ABC Homeopathy Forum
Using more than 1 remedy
My daughter 18 months is unvaccinated. I would like to give her a tetanus shot and my doctor recommended giving homeopathic tetanus 2 days prior. I am hoping to give the shot in a few days. Meanwhile she has a small puncture wound on her foot, maybe from a bug bite or from a pine needle, I don't know. I don't think it bled. I would like to give her ledum in 200c. The wound is slightly swollen and a little hot. She wakes frequently at night after midnight screaming, but is totally happy during the day. At night she sweats, but is cool to touch and will not tolerate covers. My question is can I give Ledum prior to tetanus shot and can I use it in conjunction with homeopathic tetanus, or should I not do the tetanus remedy? Also I know arnica can be useful for vaccines. Not sure what remedy or combo to go with. I have already given Apis for the wound (as it's what I had to hand) and it seems to have helped a little.

Homeopathic tetanus should be worked out on the basis of totality of symptoms. i don't know what is happening in this case. The homeopath should give the acute remedy first and see that the patient recovers from existing fever, bites etc if any. Later he should administer the homeopathic vaccine. Homeopaths don't have consensus on the subject of homeopathic vaccination. For that matter homeopaths hardly have any consensus on any issue.
