Adult ADD + alcoholism

Dear Dr Sameer,
The case of the 12 yo with ADD is very much like that of my husband. He will act out, lie about things he's done. He has nightmares very often. He has has terrible experiences in life with resulting PTSD - this stress contributes to the desire to drink.

He is very childish in many ways. He spends money without regard to consequences of debt.

He can be verbally abusive, then an hour later be sweet and loving.

I gave him Lycopodium 2 weeks ago. It seemed to have a good effect initially... he even had a dream -one that had been a recurring dream in child hood in which he alone is shooting against gangsters to protect a group of innocent people. He awoke from the dream crying, and feeling overwhelmed by the dream-task.

He has insomnia - becomes very awake about 10 pm, then will stay up all night, go to be 5 am, sleep til 2 pm.

He smokes. When he drinks it is a 'binge'- he drinks to pass out. He can do this for 7+ days straight, with no eating.
