Dr Kadwa can you help with pilonidal abscess Page 2 of 4

This is just a forum. Assume posts are not from medical professionals.
In general, the discharge is the same as last week, not much. It seems like he is responding well to it, it's less red, less irritated, and the tissue looks like it's healing a bit from the top and bottom part of the wound. What does he take for next week?

Thank-you for all your help!

It seems that your support is working for him very well!! We will have fourth week of calc sulph 6x and then we will review the position after 7 days. So please give him calc sulph 6x as earlier for a week.

Yes, he is doing well, I'm so impressed with his progress and so happy we have found something finally to help. I knew when I read this website that this homeopathic medicine and your kind direction would finally end his suffering (and my support too I guess).

We will do as you suggest for another 7 days.

Best Wishes

This week he has had little discharge similar to previous weeks, the wound is less deep. I took a look at it and it looks healthy, no pus, it is pink to red in colour in the wound and it looks like the tissue is healing up from the bottom. Still open and looks about the same length.

He was asking if he should take another dose of cannabis indica, he has smoked weed 4 times this past week so not doing as well as previous weeks. If so, should he take it on Monday and start whatever remedy you suggest on Tuesday. Please let us know what medication he should take this week.

Thank-you!

dpanedur last decade
day 1 (monday)
Please take three doses of Cannabis Indica 200c at a gap of 4 hours

One dose means
If the medicine is in pills form 4 pills. Don't touch pills with hand. Use cap of bottle to take pills.
If the medicine is in liquid dilution form, 3-4 drops in some 20 ml water. Sip up slowly.

day 2 to day 7
nothing

day 8 to day 15
4 pellets of Calcarea Sulph 6x thrice a day at a gap of 4 hours

Please report after 15 days.

These past two weeks he has smoked a couple of times per week. After taking the cannabis indica, he described that he was in a bit better mood the couple days afterwards. It looks like the wound is a bit smaller in length but doesn't look like much difference in terms of depth of the wound. It also seems to be the same out of discharge as before, very little.

Also, he has taken reactine to help with seasonal allergies approximately a couple times per week as he needed it. Does this conflict with the homeopathic remedies he is taking? Also, he wanted to know if there are any homeopathic remedies he could take for seasonal allergies.

What should he take starting tomorrow?

Best Wishes

dpanedur last decade
Now he should take a single dose of Myristica 200c for only one day (not daily) and another dose after one week. He should report back after 2 weeks.

He may also take a single dose of Cannabis Indica 1 M and see whether it helps him in breaking his smoking habbit.

Cannabis Indica 1M should not be repeated within less than 15 days. He should not take any other homeo remedy or tissue salts on the day he takes Cannabis Indica 1M.

He may take 2 pellets each of the following tissue salts thrice a day at a gap of 4 hours whenever needed and see whether it helps in his seasonal allergies.

natrum sulph 6x
ferrum phos 6x
kali mur 6x

So just to clarify, should he take myristica 200c tomorrow (we haven't been able to buy it yet) and then take cannabis indica 1M the following day and then take myristica 200c a week from tomorrow again?

dpanedur last decade
He should take myristica 200c tomorrow (whenever you are able to procure) and then take cannabis indica 1M after 3 days and then take myristica 200c 7 days after it's first dose again.

kadwa last decade
We will be able to get cannabis indica 1M in 2 weeks, we can get myristica 200C tomorrow. What should we do, wait until we get both to start the remedies? Should he continue to take calc sulph during this time?

What other remedies should I try and pick up while I am at the store, so I don't run into this problem of not having them on time. Money is an issue so please only tell us which ones you think you will prescribe in the next month or so.

dpanedur last decade
You may start with Myristica 200c as you receive it. i talked about the sequence of these two remedies ie myristica and cannabis just to emphasize that there should be a gap of some 3-4 days between these two remedies. These two remedies work for different problems and there is no need to give them in combination. You may also continue with Cannabis Indica 200c in the earlier manner if you feel that it is working. But let me tell again that will power plays a prominent role here. No need to give calc sulph for the time being.
No other remedy is needed for this month now.

Sorry, it has taken so long. We just were able to get myristica 200C and cannabis indicaM a few days ago. He has taken one dose (4 pills) of myristica 200c 3 days ago and will take one dose of cannabis indicaM today and then another dose of myristica 200C next Wednesday.

Can you tell me what other medicine we need for next week so we can order it now? He hasn't been taking anything for a while, about a month, but there has been no change in his wound, not worse or really better. I'm not sure what we should expect to see with the myristica in the next week.

Myristica is supposed to drain the abscess. Please report back after 15 days. You have understood the schedule of dosing in the right way.

Okay, will do. We are going away for 10 days from June 16th-June 26th (20 days from now). My boyfriend is worried that when we are away his abscess will flare up, as it often has in the past. Is there any medication we can take with us, if this happens?

Also, he has never gone in swimming pools because he is worried about the chlorine in the pool, he has only gone in the ocean. Is it okay for him to go in swimming pools, or is there something he can put on his wound to prevent it from getting wet, or from the chemicals from getting in there. Remember it is located in the crease of his buttocks so it is in an awkward spot.

Thank-you for your time.

You may use Calc Sulph 6x and Calendula 30c if there is a flare up. About rest of the queries you should take an appropriate decision.

kadwa last decade
How should he take these? Calc Sulph 3 x per day, 4 pills each time? What about Calendula 30c, he is never taken that yet.

Thank-you.

hrs123 last decade
We have started his treamtment with Calendula. You may refer to your earlier posts.

Hi Dr. Kadwa,

My boyfriend has taken the dose of cannabis indica and been taking the calendula 30c daily.

****//

Calendula 30c thrice a day and Calc Sulph 6x thrice a day may be taken on alternate days if there is a flare up.

kadwa last decade
Yes, you are correct, he was taking calendula 30c. Thank-you, we will bring these along.

Hi,

He has taken the myristica and cannabis. The cannabis has not helped with his smoking. His wound seems a bit less deep. We are going on vacation Wednesday June 16th -26th, what medication should he start taking now and what should we bring with us during this time?

hrs123 last decade
You may use Calc Sulph 6x and Calendula 30c if there is a flare up. We will see what to do further once you are back from your vacation.

kadwa last decade
Hi,

We are back from our trip. Not much has changed with his wound since before we left for our vacation. What treatment should we start with now? I should say though, that whenever I ask him how it's doing he says it feels small and bothers him less. But unfortunately it is still there.

hrs123 last decade
Please ask him to take one dose of Myristica 200c every monday (or any other day) for 4 weeks and report back after 5 weeks.

kadwa last decade
okay, will do. Thank-you for always responding so quickly.

Best Wishes!

Hi Dr. Kadwa,

It has been 5 weeks that he has been taking Myristica 200c. A few things have happened. About 2 1/2 weeks after his first dose he had some hip pain. As I previously posted he has this hip pain occassionally. It subsided in a day or so. About 5 days later he had some more hip pain, but then it subsided in a day also. I looked at his wound at the 2 1/2 week point because he said he felt a new opening. At the top part of his cleft there was an opening about 1/2 an inch long, not very deep. At one point this area had been open but healed. I don't know that much has happened with the main wound area, every time I check it, it seems to be shallow and he says there is little discharge.

What should we do next?
Thank-you for your time :)

We will continue with Myristica...

Please ask him to take one dose of Myristica 200c every monday (or any other day) for 4 weeks and report back after 5 weeks.

kadwa last decade
Hello again,

He has taken the myristica for another 4 weeks. No symptoms arose during these 4 weeks. Discharge is less than a few weeks before and there is no smell, which is different than before.

I cut the hair for him yesterday and the lower wound is smaller and barely no depth to it. The top wound seems a little bit longer than it was when it first opened but there is overgrowth of the scar tissue on this section as well as the lower wound. When this overgrowth occurred before, he would go to the doctor and get it burnt off with silver nitrate.

What should we do now?

Thank-you very much for your help, the fact that there is improvement is really encouraging since there was no change in his wound for at least a year.
