The crack is on the lower lips.
Even a slight change from the regularity could make him sick.
This time the cold started after drinking the filtered tap water at my friends place, actually he is been drinking only Poland spring water. The next morning itself his nose started to be runny. And as the day went by he started to get more sick. Next day fever started. Today is the 3rd day, still the mucus looks egg white like. The symptoms are worse in the morning for an hour after waking up and from evening until he is asleep.
Middle of the day is usually little better.
Most of the time his left nose is very runny while the right is with little or no mucus.
Nothing brings much relief except Tylenol/medicine.
Cough - mostly either dry or rattling mucus in the throat. Rarely brings up mucus, mostly white ( with frothy like bubbles) or yellow mucus.
When sick he wants somebody near him or wants to carried.

This time cold accompanies tears in the eyes as well. Same like nose left eye has more tears while right eyes either very little or no tears.
Yesterday night during sleep he cried all of sudden and said that dog is coming to bite me, must be a dream.

So currently, all the below symptoms hold ?
Picking of lips
Bluish lips during chill
desire for company
cracked lips (lower)

Yes Sameer. Bluish lips i noticed only once and haven't after that, could be i didn't pay much attention.
Ear wax - left ear has light colored dry wax.
Skin itching is still there.
Eye problem - yet to diagnose.
Noisy breaths with tonsils and adenoids swollen.
When having cold no appetite at all. Have to force even to drink a cup of milk instead of a regular meal.

Hmm.. left nose is runny, left ear is waxy, left eye runs, everything here is left sided. Please confirm.

Yes Sameer, left sides are runny. But in the recent hearing test my son failed on the right side and also from a test that was did a year ago he was diagnosed as having fluid in the middle ear because the adenoids were blocking the flow. We are guessing the failing of the recent hearing test could be because of the fluid.
So i am suspecting right side could be either blocked or congested. And also i wouldn't say right side is completely blocked, there is some flow but very less compared to the left side.

Not that i know of. But he asks to buy things/toys that his friends have. Has been very clingy to mother.

Picking of lips started mainly after the surgery in October, that's when the lips got too dry. Thank you.

Sameer, my son's temperature was on the rise and didn't seem to be under control with Tylenol, so i took him to our Pediatrician and he diagnosed him as having Pneumonia on the right lung. Now he is on antibiotics. So i assume we probably need to wait until he is off of antibiotics. Please let me know if otherwise. Thank you.

Sameer, it has been a weak since stopping antibiotics.
Current Symptoms - Has very restless sleep through out the night except the first hour or two of good deep sleep. Kicks and turns a lot in sleep. Because of the restless sleep during the night in the morning doesn't want to wake up, wants to sleep more, if let sleep wakes up between 9am and 10am. Cries/screams during sleep, i guess it is because of dreams. One day said a dog was coming to bite him.
Eye problem(found the right word to explain his condition) - strabismus, and sometimes itchy.
Intense itching in the bends of knee and elbow.
Has increased appetite towards the evening. Doesn't like to try any new foods. Likes meat but meat increases itching.
At times gets too excited and hits/hugs people. Talks a lot to himself.
Cannot walk or do a play for long time, wants to be carried. If asked says tired. Too scared to try adventurous games that are for his age while kids even younger to him enjoy.
pretends like an adult, says he does office work, very curious to see things done by others.
Pretends as if his school classmates are around and talks to them as if they are around.
Still has enlarged tonsils and adenoids. Loud respiration and snoring in sleep still exists.
Likes to eat ice cream, ice bars and Indian biscuits. Wouldn't even try fruits and vegetables.
Would like to have what other have, like asks/sometimes demands for things his friends bring to school.

Please clarify the following:
When he says dog is coming to bite him, is he awake or he in sleep ?
Does he cry in sleep or does he scream in sleep ?
After what time of the night does his sleep become restless ?

Sameer, when he said a dog was coming to bite him, he was sleeping and it should be around midnight or after.
Usually a moderately loud cry like while frightened, not a scream.
Restless sleep starts with in couple of hours of falling asleep. Lets say he falls asleep around 9pm, he gets restless around 11pm or 11:30pm.
Sometimes says a word or few words in sleep.
If a paper is given to him most of the time he tears the paper into pieces.
Usually a moderately loud cry like while frightened, not a scream.

Please give him 3 doses of Calcarea Carb 30c in water at 30 mins gap, and report after 10 days.

Sameer, i gave my son the calc carb 30c as you have mentioned above on wednesday (03/09/2011). Thursday didn't show much symptom. Friday morning on rising coughed badly and threw up the little milk he drank and night was very itchy. And from Saturday his breathing has become noisier and has offensive odor in the mouth. Saturday didn't have any appetite. Sunday appetite is okay but sounds miserable. From Saturday noticing new rashes as well and itching is also been very severe. Didn't cough much after Saturday, but is been obstinate since Friday. Please let me know if these symptoms are normal. Thank you very much.

Sameer, Yesterday my son was diagnosed as having mild ear infection on the left ear, but he didn't have fever. I just took him to the pediatrician since he was coughing badly. And the doctor put him on antibiotics, but since he doesn't have temperature i haven't started him on antibiotics. And also he is producing lots of mucus, so i am hoping by draining out all the mucus the ear infection should go by itself. Could calc carb cause ear infection, since it seems to be the remedy for ear infection as well? Please let me know your thoughts on this.
I am also planning to follow some natural ways like steam inhale to bring out the mucus, would that anti-dote the remedy's action.

These allergies are perfectly curable through homeopathy, and there is no reason for a case to get worse if the homeopath is careful and skilled enough.
Many of the well 'renowened' homeopaths have sometimes little experience in actually curing people, as they usually are people who have become the 'vogue' thing by building a lot of good package material around themselves by either wriing a 'sexy' book or by saying something 'sensational'.
Now coming back to this case, has he ever had this kind of an ear infection in the past ?

Yes Sameer, he had ear infection once last year, but not sure which side it was. And that time he got fever from the infection.

Then we should keep on waiting. Old symptoms return during correct treatment.

Lessismore, it is absolutely ok to interfere.
Actually i decided to try Homeopathy only after learning that couple of kids completely got cured of food allergy through Homeopathy. And also few friends of mine got their chronic problems, when allopathy failed, cured by Homeopathy.
In fact the first Homeopath we consulted was a classical Homeopath and he even has written couple of Books. But he said he didn't have experience in treating food allergy and also the approach he used didn't suit/help my son.
Obviously food allergy is caused by some genetic problem. By reading about different treatment practices i learnt that genetic problems can be cured only by few approaches like Homeopathy, acupuncture.. I don't think Acupuncture is a feasible one for kids.
So i opted for Homeopathy and as i learn more about Homeopathy i believe it more.
The only frustration i have with homeopathy is finding a good classical Homeopath with real experience.
I am thankful at least there are forums like this and there are good people like Sameer who are willing to use their talent in helping people like me.

Sameer, after the calc carb dose he had lots of aggravations like increased mucus, cough as well as itching. Now the mucus and cough has reduced substantially. But the itching one day seems to be reducing but immediately the next day it increases a lot. So when the itching is less he seems to sleep a little better and when itching increases the sleeping is also disturbed. The past two days he is been waking around 3am and has touch time sleeping at least for an hour.
The breathing is still noisy.
Since he had lots of aggravations after the dose i am convincing myself that this could be the right remedy.
Another reason for me to think this could be the right remedy is as i had mentioned in the earlier post the Pediatrician diagnosed him as having mild ear infection which didn't cause any fever till now.
So i am wondering does he need a higher potency to show noticeable improvement.
