This is just a forum. Assume posts are not from medical professionals.
So you are still better overall, with the ongoing nasal discharge. Is that right?

No, I'd say it's back to being as congested as I was before it improved. I'm using nasal spray, but when it wears off my nasal passages are just swollen all the way shut. Yet somehow there's enough of a crack open for my nose to be running all day too.

I'm not sleeping as well at night because of the congestion, waking up with a parched throat and mouth. Then right between 6:30 and 7am I wake up, and bam, my nose starts running of its own accord, I start getting ready to sneeze, and I have to get out of bed because I'll wake everyone else up if I don't. So I've been missing out on sleeping in, because my nose won't let me.
We are making plans to move back up to Alaska in the next month, so my husband is doing all sorts of packing, and I just don't feel 100%, so I'm not really helping much, just don't have the energy. I am excited to go, but also nervous, and just hope everything works out all right.

I'm starting tinctures of peach and Staghorn sumac to try to help my nose.

Once you start suppression, you start on the path to incurability.

We can change remedies if you believe the Thuja is no longer helping.

The issue of your sleep is dependent on your son being cured unfortunately, so that is not something the remedy will help.

Well, I can't go on with unending symptoms, either, so I have to do something.
No, the Thuja doesn't seem to be helping this at all.

As for my sleeping, the nasal congestion has worsened it even further, so that's what I meant by the sleeping problems. I would feel a lot better if I could sleep as long as Kody sleeps--right now I've been waking up early because my nose starts running, and tickling, and I feel like I'm going to sneeze.

Rishimba had me fill out a new questionnaire, so in case it helps you--I'll take all the input I can get.

Actually Rishimba and I often in alignment around our methods and philosophy, so I have no problem with you getting a second opinion. I just want you to be careful around suppressing this symptom the Thuja has set up. It is in the nature of the remedy to use coryza to discharge the internal disease - I really believe that is what is happening.

It might help (or not!) to share part of my own story here. Before I was a practitioner, I had terrible asthma. I had nearly died several times as a child from it. As an adult, it completely limited my life. My homoeopath at the time gave my Tuberculinum, and it created a fungal infection that lasted 18 months. It was terrible - embarrassing, painful - but while it was there, I had no asthma ... at all.

Finally, I got sick of it, and suppressed it using antifungal medication. 3 days later my asthma returned, and it took years to find the new remedy for it since the case changed once I did that (or had changed in the meantime on its own).

Did I need to put up with it for so long? I don't know. I suspect the next step in treatment should have come sooner but I had to change homoeopaths as she left to treat the poor in India and I had a new homoeopath who wasn't as good.

So I am sure you are in the same situation as I was. I will be interested to see what Rishimba's take on the situation is.

I hear you, and I can see that I haven't had problems with asthma while my nose has been running, but at the same time, I haven't really had much help from the online forum, so I turned to medication because I was done suffering with it.
I'm taking Zyrtek (an allergy pill), half a tablet, and it's definitely helping. I was feeling like my nose was so swollen shut that all the discharge was getting backed up and infected. So now at least it can drain, and it's not as profuse. It even has the benefit of helping my son sleep better at night, because I take it before bed.

I feel like I've spent so much on homeopathic remedies, I needed something that didn't cost me anything (no copay with the insurance).
Maybe sometime in the future I can afford to really go and see a homeopath face-to-face.

If you were a client here I would be happy to treat you for free and provide the medicines for free. I do that for a number of my clients. I wish I could help you out more there.

Tell you what, did you want to me to isolate and treat the physical symptoms now - while I might feel a bit hesitant about the possibility of suppressing, I don't want you to just go back to orthodox medicine. We can change focus and try to perceive the remedy through the main complaint.

I don't know that it's really worth trying right now. We are about 7-10 days away from leaving Washington to move back up to Alaska. We got a big tax return and so we're using that to head back up. I am pretty focused on that, and don't really feel like I want to be guessing around with homeopathics right now.
I know you are a good person, generous and kind, and I appreciate what you've tried to do for me. I think you just have a lot on your plate and don't necessarily have the time to be hovering over an online patient like me when you likely have a large amount of real life patients in addition to all the online ones you help. I'll probably just pursue it at a later date.
