2-yrs-old sleeps badly Page 13 of 15

Hi Magicure,

Here comes an update.

About Julius: he is doing better. There is excema on legs, but it is not disturbing everything. The stool is hardish, but not too hard.
He sleeps deeply waking up once during the night. Then he has a tendency of being awake for longer time 30-60 minutes. (The habit of sleep has totally changed!).

About Jasper: he has been getting worse during last couple of weeks. I have gone to conclusion that the biggest problem is the fact he takes things too seriously. Like yesterday he started crying because he couldn't hang his jacket to the hook. And he was angry at me saying it is my fault I have not attached a loop to the jacket.
He was really angry at me.

I wrote about his constitiution on 23 Sept. I want to add a couple of thoughts:
- last winter he had nosebleeding quite often. I gave Ferr phos. In summer it has been better.
- his left ear has been getting a lot of ear wax. In summer, after swimming a lot, it was totaly full of it. Now it has been ok (because of Causticum?).
- he keeps blaiming other people. He looses something he starts crying blaiming me that I have lost it (though it is his fault).

I would appriciate you'd find time to find out his constitutional remedy. Jasper is being quite aggressive at the time.

Hi Magicure

Julius has had a couple of problems last few weeks. I haven't been able to write you cause I have been out of town.

First his skin is still quite bad. My husband said he had to use cortizon (I didn't see the skin then). Now it is dry and there are red spots. I've seen it worse but it seems to be all the time quite bad.

Secondly his stool is too hard. It is like sheep's; small balls. Normal tricks (food) doesn't make results.

By the way, he has changed A LOT during last two months. He has become a normal boy - meaning destructive one :-). Yelling, running, shooting with guns... He has terrible tantrums and is very, very stubborn when he wants to do something in his way.
He is so funny. He gives all kind of explanations when he doesn't want to do something. He seems to be strong in logical thinking. I can't fool him because he sees incredibly easy for his age the cheating.
So: he is not the same shy boy who keeps sitting in mother's lap.

I wonder does this change the constitutional remedy?

Hi Maria,

We shall take care of his skin with homoeopathic medicines alone, so please refrain from using steroids. If there is aggravation of eczema, dont worry, surfacing of the complaints is a good sign.

About his stools, well, Sulphur along with other remedies cover this symptom.
Need more info on this: colour of stools? pain before/while/after passing stools? flatulance? How often does he pass stools?

any change in thirst, appetite, cravings and aversions? How is his tongue? any coating?

Does he feel more chilly/ hot than others? How much does he perspire now?

magicure last decade
Hi Magicure,

We try to avoid using stereoids. But if the child really suffers because of eczema, and is scratching himself until bleeding, and lotions doesn't help - then I use stereoids.
I don't know if that was the case last week, cause I wasn't at home.

About stools: the color is dark brown. He has pain all day before and while passing stools. Sometimes a bit (very little) bleeding while passing. No flatulance. Passes stool every third of fourth days.

Lately he has been drinking more than before. Specially he has been drinking orange juice, a lot.
He doesn't crave milk that much anymore as before.
I think he is not that sugarholic anymore. Before I had to limit the candy, now he does it itself.
He eats quite well nowadays.

I think he feels hotter than others. Outside, when it is cold, he complains fingers being cold. Otherwise he is always very warm.
He doens't perspire during days. But right after he falls at sleep he gets really hot and starts persipring, especially on head. The persipiration is over after 30-60 minutes of sleeping.

There has been no special coating on the tongue.

Hi Magicure,

Julius's stomach is still too hard. Poor thing is bleeding while passing the stool.
The skin is the same.

I am also getting tired with Jasper. He thinks he is the center of the world and everyone should obey him...

I would appriciate if you'd find time to help them both.

Hi Maria,

For Julius: Does he always(since birth) pass stools once in 3-4 days? Does he have any complaints for the rest of 3 days (on the days when he doesnt pass stools) like uneasiness/ pain etc...

Give him Sulphur 200, 3-4 pills on clean tongue at bedtime, ONLY FOR ONE DAY. ( Single dose) and report back.

For Jasper: When was the last time you gave him Causticum? If its been more than 4 months, you can repeat it.
If it doesnt help him this time, he might need another remedy. But before changing the remedy, first confirm the effect of Causticum.

Please let me know, and take care...

Hi Magicure,

Nice to hear from you!

Julius: He has started passing stools once in 3 days only recently. It started this autumn or so. He has never had constipation before in his life. Now it is chronic.
He complaines the day when he is going to pass the stool. Starts complaining about 10 hours before stomach pain.
I will give Sulphur today.

Jasper: I gave Causticum at the end of August. Less than three months ago. Then there was no such big help than previous times.
Shall I give him anyway?

Maria

Maria&boys last decade
Hi Maria,

For Jasper: Try Causticum single dose (3-4 pills on clean tongue at bedtime, for ONE day only) and report back.

Take care...

Hi Magicure,

One week has passed since I gave Julius Sulphur and Jasper Causticum. One doze only.

Julius's stool is not that hard anymore. But it is still small balls, like sheep has. And small amounts, never enough at the time.
But fortunately it is not too hard and no bleeding.

By the way, Julius has been sleeping quite well lately. But for one or two months he has had a different kind of sleeping problem: he is tired in the evening, but doesn't fall at sleep.
He just keeps moving in the bed and putting lights on and doing this and that. He sleeps 9-10 hours a night, and is tired in the morning.
I haven't written about this because I thought the reason is he sleeps at school. But now I am sure he doesn't have a nap at school, but he still is overactive during the evenings.

I haven't seen any effect from Causticum with Jasper.
F.x.Today on a street we passed by a carbagebox and Jasper opened up the box. I said he has to close it, because it was raining and he was the one to open it. He didn't want to. I said we don't go anywhere unless he closes it. Eventually he did close it, but tried to hit me. So....

Let me know how we'll continue with both of them.

Hellooo, Magicure..!!!

I hope to hear from you soon.
I am gettin exhausted again.

Jasper is the most terrible boy nowadays. Causticum didn't help a bit. (as I noticed it in last summer, it has lost the power)

Julius's stool is softer. But he keeps going to bed too late and waking up 5-6 am for half an hour before falling asleep again. (sleeps the night through, fortunately).

I really would need your help again.

Maria

Maria&boys last decade
Hi Maria,

Glad to note that Julius is doing fine. No more medicine for him.

Regarding Jasper, if you are sure that Causticum had helped him in the past, it is best to give him higher potency before changing the remedy. So, which potency had you used? and how frequently?

Please let me know...

magicure last decade
Hi Magucure,

So glad to hear from you! I am willing to put Jasper for sale for anybody... he is just terrible and doesn't obey regarding how nice, how bad or many times I tell him to listen to me.

I am sure Causticum has helped him. Because at the time I gave Causticum for ear wax, I didn't know homeopathy can have such of an effect. I was so suprised!

I have given him Causticum 200k three times. That started helping after one week and was effective for three weeks.
I did that 3-4 times with good results. In July the results were still ok, but not as good. In August it didn't give any results anymore.
And last week no effect at all.

One more thing... what about the growing pains in the middle of the night? You said before, that phosphorus is good, but it all depends on the constitution.

Maria&boys last decade
Hi Maria,

Get Phosphorus 30 for growth pains. 3-4 pills on clean tongue at bedtime for three consecutive nights.

Also, try Causticum 200 in water. (Or have you done that earlier?)
Dissolve 4-5 pills of Causticum 200 in about half a cup of water. Stir for a few minutes. This raises the potency slightly. Now give this to Jasper sip-by-sip. Repeat for three consecutive nights.

Do not give Causticum and Phosphorus simultaneously. You can give either one, wait for a few days, and then give other.

Let me know how it goes...

Take care...

Hi Magicure,

Julius's stool is getting hard again. Do I repeat Sulphur 200 again? I gave him one doze exactly three weeks again.

I have given him extra vitamins all autumn because of his bad skin (zinc etc). There has no been excema for a month. I don't know which has helped more: Calcarea, Sulphur or the vitamins.
But the skin is very dry on lower legs, below knees. It is going "down". Before there has been excema also on tights. There is also dry spots in wrists, like before.

I gave Causticum to Jasper last week. But on the third day, last friday he got sick. He is having fever for the fourth day. All the symptoms are same as in scarlet fever, but the test results have not arrived yet.
Today is much better. He is up, no pains, 38 degrees, doens't eat, but ís playing.
He is also having nose running for four weeks now, and coughing.

Maria

Maria&boys last decade
Hi Maria,

How is Jasper now? What do the doctors and lab reports say?

About Julius, how is his sleep and appetite?
Wait before repeating Sulphur.

Let me know...

magicure last decade
Hi Magicure,

The tests are positive, Jasper has streptokokki and scarlet fever. So he is in antibiotics now.
His fever is down and he has even eaten a little bit first time for five days.
He also has normal flu at the same time.

Julius slept last night really, really bad. His nose is blocked and like glue(like Jaspers) and he coughs loose cough (like Jasper). Temperature 37,5.

He slept so bad, and his legs were itching, that I thought he has the same desease. Jasper got sick five days ago and they say scarlet fever is contagious during five days.
But Julius has no fever and no sore throat. Just a mild white coating on tongue and very tired - maybe just from sleeping bad.

Despite this Julius has been sleeping amazingly well. Actually with this deep sleep we have a new problem: he sleeps so deeply that urinates in the night and wets the bed about once a week. He wakes up because he feels cold after few hours.
When he sleeps more shallowly, he doesn't have the problem (but doens't need to go to the toilet either).

He was also eating well for longer time, but it changed last week. Now he simply refuses to eat.

The stomack is still hard and he has not been in the toilet for 2-3 days. I just gave him plums.

Hi again,

Julius has scarlet fever as well. And got antibiotics.

I wonder if they will have their father's tendency of getting angina/tonsillitis easily. If they in the future have the normal angina symptoms (fever, sore throat, headache, maybe vomiting) before getting the white coating on throat - which remedy I should give them? Tonsillitis is a bacterial infection and I know, if I'll visit the doctor they will give antibiotics and that doesn't make me happy, but I follow the orders.

Julius's stool is very, very hard. Do I go for Sulphur even if he is sick?

Maria

Maria&boys last decade
Hi Maria,

Please post the complete current picture of Julius. (thirst, appetite, stools, skin, sleep, perspiration, tongue, behaviour, cough/coryza/fever symptoms, and any other unusual/characteristic symptoms) You know how to describe each of these in details.

right now he needs an acute remedy that covers all of his present symptoms.

Regarding your other question, you can keep the "preventive remedy" at hand, but I need to know the characteristic symptoms (of the typical attack) to suggest one.
So first we will take care of the present situation, then then we will talk about it.

Please let me know the details.

magicure last decade
Hi Magicure,

About Julius:

Thirst: no thirst. I force him to drink. Doesn't want juice, only milk.

Appetite: no appetite at all. Sometimes tries to eat a bit, but starts feeling nausea.
Only thing he likes is chocolate.

Stool: hard, like sheep's. Color normal.

Skin: red from forehed to ankles. The excema places are even redder. Itching and scratching legs and stomach during the nights.

Sleep: very disturbed, waking up every 30-50 minutes crying unless I give painkiller. Even then the sleep is restless.

Perspiration: nothing to say.Of course he sweats if sleeping under cover and fever is high.

Tongue: white cover, not a lot though.

Behaviour: keeps changing. Mostly he wants to sit and is sad. Once in a while he lightens up, when he has no pains, plays a little bit.Tired.

Cough/coryza/fever: Fever between 37.7-39.2. Highest right after falling asleep in night. Comes down by its own.
The nose is thick clear/light yellow mucus. Coughs loose cough sometimes. He doesn't really have a cough, but the mucus goes down.

Throat: red, not very painful though.

Stomach: pain. The doctor said it is typical, but I also think it is because of constipation. The constipation was before the sickness.
I could also hear the stomack "bubbling" during the night.

Sometimes complains headache. Sometimes he just feels very sick, he even asks for the painkiller himself.

Hi Maria,

Give Julius a single dose of sulphur 200. 4-5 pills on clean tongue.
No need to wait till bedtime, give it immediately whenever you read this post (If the symptoms are unchanged.. that is if stools are still hard, and there is fever without thirst)

Post about his condition as often as you can. Write immediately if there is any change in symptoms.

Take care...

magicure last decade
Hi,

I just read your message. The symptoms have changed; the antibiotics is working and the fever is down. For the first time this morning he wanted to drink a lot of water.

There is also less mucus.

But he hasn't been in the toilet for four days now. Gotta give something. I will wait for your reply for some hours, then I'll go for Sulphur.

By the way, where do you live? You seem to answer me at my nighttime - are you in the US?

Maria

Maria&boys last decade
Yes Maria, I am in USA.

Give him a single dose of Sulphur, and let me know how it goes.

I wish both Julius and Jasper a speedy recovery.

Take care...

magicure last decade
Ok. I'll do that today.

Maria&boys last decade
Hi Magicure,

We are healthy again. I didn't give Julius sulphur; for some reason the stomach has been ok.

But Jasper.... I will throw him out from the window soon... He is so irritating. Causticum didn't have any effect.
He keeps hurting Julius. When Julius doens't do what he wants, he hits him. I punish him systematically for it, but he still keeps doing it. In general he is very demanding. He thinks everybody should obey him.
At the very moment he is yelling here and he is driving me crazy.
