Hi Sameer
Sorry to bother you again, but my relatives will take some time coming. Please advise which of the four medicines we will be using immediately in case calc carb doesn't work, because I will be purchasing it here and my relatives need not buy it from there.
Hope I am not bothering you too much.

Hi Sameer
I still am not very sure if he was faring any better during the last week. I didnot see any new symptoms though. However, he was not coughing during his sleep. That was a welcome change. He did keep tossing & turning. He started his school day before. Maybe I should discuss it. First day at school was pretty bad with him crying for a very very long time & asking to go & see me. Continous refusal for this by the teacher was followed by a refusal to eat snacks or talk to the teacher by him. Today, after a little fight with his sister, he was coughing very badly & crying with red eyes, & I realised its all still the same. I did see him making block towers, trying to make music with his play piano in his quiet times(when he is playing alone) but I have seen this behaviour earlier as well. Lately, he has been very talkative. He has to be able to tell whatever he wants to, else he gets annoyed or gets upset or at times may hit out. So this is how things have been. Please advise what should be done at this point.
Regards

So, you feel all his symptoms are unchanged since we started treatment ?

List all his current symptoms in the form of a list, both mental and physical.

sameervermani last decade
Hi. He is at present displaying following behaviour :
Very naughty the first opportunity/instance but at times quiet & playing with his toys - making blocks, playing music, looking through his books' pictures(likes construction, trucks, dogs, trains books). Attention seeking & if he wants something, he is persistent & will get very upset if not listened to. Likes consolation & sympathy - must be picked up & held for as much time as possible. Likes to give hugs & tries to make up by giving hug if he knows a loved one gets annoyed. A lot of sibling rivalry.

If irritated something, he sneezes two three times, wants nose wiped imediately(perhaps must be feeling itchy at nose tip/tickish). If he cleans his own nose after the sneeze (clear colorless liquid), he would the rub the nose tip vigorously up & down. If it hurts, he will start crying. He doesnot blow his nose to try & clear the inside. No continous sneezing (with thin nasal discharge) when he wakes up in the morning, like he used to in winters & spring. Very possessive of his favorite toys & if he wants something only he should play with it. A lot of hurtful & harsh cough with red eyes on dust, emotional stress. Doesnot go to dark rooms unless acompanied/ light switched on. Fares better by lying down, comforting, sip of water. Doesnot like to share his favorite food at all(unlike what i felt was the case a few months back). Not generous. Wants everything that anybody has. For example, he saw a fish aquarium o saw some child with Dog & asked me to get them for our home as well. Same applies to all the toys the he likes in others' home. Jealous. Like to bathe in cold water but doesnot want water in his nose or eyes. The latter irritates him a lot & he starts sneezing, coughing and crying. If angry will throw whatever is available in hand or nearby. If not listened to for a very long time, will get offended & withdraw. Very sentitive physically & emotionally. He is very intelligent & sharp in picking up things discussed with or around him, roads, etc. He likes to drink & play with water all the time. Very imaginative, curious & destructive. Broke all his cars' back portion to make them long trucks.

On a closer look, his blue veins are visible just under the skin on eyelids, under eyes, throat(one /two prominent ones), on chest. If I run my palm of outer calf, I feel little grain like eczema. His hand nails are always sharp whenever they grow back.

Okay, then please give him 3 doses of Pulsatilla 30c, equally spaced on a single day.

The dosing procedure is same as before , 1 dose = 1 teaspoon from the bottle where 2 pellets have been dissolved.

Let me know in 3 days after these 3 doses.

1/. Nothing should enter the mouth for 40 minutes prior to, or after taking the remedy.
2/. Do not touch the tablets with your hands, tip them into the cap of the container they came in and then into the water .
3/. Avoid coffee, tea (including green), and other sources of caffeine such as some fizzy drinks and large amounts of chocolate, except where this would cause a drastic change in consumption
4/. Avoid wearing perfume/aftershave, or exposure to anything with a strong smell while under treatment. This includes any and all essential oils, and incense.
5/. Avoid the consumption of excessively spicey foods
6/. The use of medicinal herbs, either as 'teas' or supplements should be avoided during Homoeopathic treatment, as should the use of over the counter medication, unless this has been recommended by an MD.
7/. Nothing of a medicinal nature should be applied to the skin

Hi Sameer
I was off computer & all personal work for a fortnight. Had some guests over. Sorry, I couldn't keep you posted.
I had given him Pusatilla 30c 3 doses on the 10th Sept. On 12th or 13th both my children had a little runny nose & cold, which became okay after 1-2 days. Its possible that it was some little viral, cause of the medicine given or just some allergic reaction to the fall season pollen breeze. Anyhow after those two days, he has been alright. No further symptoms other than a little itchy nose or sneezing or very little cough after stress/waking up - but very little & occasionally. Now since both my children had that short duration cold at the time after the dose given, I am left guessing.
I do have Pulsatilla 200c liquid form. What do you recommed? Also please advise how the liquid form is to be administered? Thanks.

First a general question, do you think there has been any worsening or improvement in his condition since we started treatment ? I just want to ask this for the sake of information, because there was some hue and cry on some other thread about this case in particular.

After Pulsatilla 30c, any changes in the symptoms below ?

If he cleans his own nose after the sneeze (clear colorless liquid), he would the rub the nose tip vigorously up & down. If it hurts, he will start crying.

Very possessive of his favorite toys & if he wants something only he should play with it.

A lot of hurtful & harsh cough with red eyes on dust, emotional stress.

Doesnot go to dark rooms unless acompanied/ light switched on.

Jealous.

If angry will throw whatever is available in hand or nearby. If not listened to for a very long time, will get offended & withdraw. Very sentitive physically & emotionally.

Hi Sameer
It feels good to get going on my child's health again, especially since I know he is under the care of a knowledgable person. Thanks again. Yes I would say that overall, I feel that he is showing improvement & better off as compared to the fall this time last year. I cannot compare to the time we started treatment, coz it was summer that time & he fares well in summer(only in Summer!). I think its the treatment provided by you, change in weather conditions here in New Jersey as compared to the windy city Chicago from where we moved last November, no carpets in our New Jersey home (unlike carpeted floor at Chicago), lesser weeds & stuff around here. I thank God that I got to discover this forum. Thank you for taking up my son's case. I pray to God that he will be totally well again.

As for his response after Pulsatilla 30c, please read the following replies.

'If he cleans his own nose after the sneeze (clear colorless liquid), he would the rub the nose tip vigorously up & down. If it hurts, he will start crying.'

Of late I feel that many a times, I don't even see the liquid. He sneezes & rubs his nose (more on the tip)-up & down motion but I don't see anything on the handkerchief.

'Very possessive of his favorite toys & if he wants something only he should play with it.'
This still hold true.

'A lot of hurtful & harsh cough with red eyes on dust, emotional stress.'
We didn't take him much to the playground due to the hustle & bustle with guests at home. But when I cleaned home gently with very little dust up, I feel he was relatively ok. But with emotional stress, yes its the same. He might be a very little better than last year with this present damp, cold weather.

'Doesnot go to dark rooms unless acompanied/ light switched on.'
Still wants someone to accompany him.

'Doesnot like to share his favorite food at all(unlike what i felt was the case a few months back). Not generous. Wants everything that anybody has. For example, he saw a fish aquarium o saw some child with Dog & asked me to get them for our home as well.
Same applies to all the toys the he likes in others' home. Jealous.'
I wonder if he is jealous or just feels inferior that he doesnot have everthing. When his sister got a tea set, he only looked silently. I think he felt bad. He concluded that only girls can play with that toy. Thereby meaning that boys don't deserve/play with that toy.

'If angry will throw whatever is available in hand or nearby. If not listened to for a very long time, will get offended & withdraw. Very sentitive physically & emotionally.'
He has not been throwing things on floor or at people. I think he is better of there. Maybe he was putting his better self forward with guests around! I didnot see any tantrums other than when his favorite toy was taken.

Also, he started attending preschool during this period. The first 2 days, were tough, with him crying his heart out to go home, followed by a refusal to talk to the teacher or eat the snacks provided(even though his favorite snack. After these two days settled down pretty well to my utter surprise. He tells me that he likes school, wants to go more often, repeats the nice words in which the teacher asks children to clean up, etc. Found him running, picking up & arranging his toys at home last two days.

So this is how things are!!

Okay, dissolve 2 drops of Pulsatilla 200c in 250 ml water, stir and then give him 1 spoon from there ONCE.

Throw away the rest.

Update in 7 days.

Hi. I was just trying to exactly remember how things have been after the pulsatilla 30c dose. After two days of the dose, his cough & breathing had actually got bad. He was wheezing & we had to do one dose of inhalation of Xopenex (equivalent of Albuterol/Salbutamol) to relax the lungs a bit. We were at that time of the opinion that it is an allergy due to the fall season. I don't how I forgot about it with the two weeks events higher on my mind!

Also, just want to add that I already gave him Pulsatilla 200c dose an hour back today.

Hi Sameer
How are you? Back with feedback on my son.
Two days after Pulsatila 200c, he had a bit of irritation, allergy or may be infection. He was sneezing with a little runny nose but was alright the next day. He has been - lets say looking quite positive during day time. However, he was taking his afternoon nap little late & would therefore wake up about 9 p.m. at night - very irritated, crying, wanting to be carried, coughing & refusing to eat food other than what he loves. Then, he will sleep at about 1 a.m. In the morning, he wakes up fresh & happy.
Usually in the evening or after a lot of physical play at home, during which he gets irritating and starts crying for need of more attention than his sister, he continues to cough & breath a little hard & is better with stopping that play/calming down/reducing activity level and having water. After a lot of days, today he was throwing things again today.

If I go by the earlier list of symptoms, on which you had asked me if there has been any change, let me review them. The comments on each synptom follow.

If he cleans his own nose after the sneeze (clear colorless liquid), he would the rub the nose tip vigorously up & down. If it hurts, he will start crying.
- This continues.

Very possessive of his favorite toys & if he wants something only he should play with it.
-Mostly. But I have seen him sharing & playing nicely as well.

A lot of hurtful & harsh cough with red eyes on dust, emotional stress.
I think he is a little better after dust but definitely yes after the emotional stress & crying. Crying, coughing, sneezing, rubbing nose vigourously, one after the other.

Doesnot go to dark rooms unless acompanied/ light switched on.
- no

Doesnot like to share his favorite food at all(unlike what i felt was the case a few months back). Not generous. Wants everything that anybody has. For example, he saw a fish aquarium o saw some child with Dog & asked me to get them for our home as well.
Same applies to all the toys the he likes in others' home. Jealous.
He wants those toys, but if given or if he feels that we did care for what he wanted, he feels overwhelmed & gets very very happy & shows a lot of affection.

If angry will throw whatever is available in hand or nearby. If not listened to for a very long time, will get offended & withdraw.
- A little less than what it used to be like some months back.

Very sentitive physically & emotionally.
- yes

Please let me know if you have any queries in specific. Thanks again for helping us. I do hope he gets well soon. We will be moving to Ohio end of this month & Ohio is quite cold & has only carpetted apartments, but I do hope things will be alright.

Looking forward to your reply. Best Regards.

Hi again! Sameer, do you think its time to try ars alb for him or should we wait? What is your opinion?

sadhna last decade
Forgot to tell you that his the under eye area was a little bluish/dark today. He looked quite irritated yesterday night but was alright today. Today, I asked him to sleep in the afternoon like earier days. He was alright after he woke up in the evening(& not night - like the last three four days).

Hi Sameer,
Looking foward to hearing from you on what to do next. Regards.

Dear Sadhna,

Let us wait for 1 more week and let the Pulsatilla dose work, as there have been some improvements in the symptoms.
