Draining Pilonidal Sinus Page 15 of 21

This is just a forum. Assume posts are not from medical professionals.
I am away this weekend on a school trip, but I will try and answer again when I can. I don't think I didn't tell you anything, but I will go over it all. Thank you because it does not seem like anyone else wants to help. I am confused because Silicea must be my remedy if it could expel the hair the way it did. Do you think I should have stuck with the 30C? Maybe we weren't patient enough?

Lets have the questionnaire again and we will know, hopefully with more clarity what's going on.

fitness last decade
I reviewed your case again, thoroughly and I think I have the answer.

Do you have Calcarea Carbonica 1M, if not, please get it.

fitness last decade
Yes I do have that. I took a dose just recently when I returned home from being away for 2 months.

cg8080 last decade
How many doses have you taken so far of Cal-C and what has been the effect.

If you don't remember that's ok, but only tell what you know for sure.

fitness last decade
While I was away I took a dose of Cal-C 200 any time the bleeding and discharge increased because it always takes it down a notch. I left without trying the Cal-C 1M or the diluted dose you were suggesting simply because we ran out of time. I would say I took the Cal-C 200 four or five times while I was away. When I returned and I was such a mess I took the Cal-C 1M in pill form just once. It initially reduced my redness and drainage slightly. When improvement did not continue we moved to the Silicea 6X. The Cal-C seems to always take down the redness and decrease the drainage.

Look back to page 17. You advised me to take it ASAP because it is what we talked about before I left.

cg8080 last decade
Yes you did. I forgot.

How are things at this moment.

fitness last decade
Things are the same. I got really scared last week and started taking Augmentin 875 on Thursday. The boils are slightly less and the pain is slightly less, but the puss is the same which is making me think that this is not going to do much. I am working on the questionnaire, I was away on a school trip this weekend.

cg8080 last decade
Once you are off of Augmentin and have filled the questionnaire, we will take it from there.

How was your eczema healed?

fitness last decade
My eczema is dormant right now. I will try and finish the questionnaire tonight. Thank you for your help

1. Your age & sex
19 male

2. Describe your appearance.
My weight is about 175 lbs. My height is about 6'1'. My body type is medium. As far as significant features, I have a little gynecomastia. My doctor says more exercise and weight building would take care of it, as it is very slight.

3. Your profession
I am a full-time student at a rigorous school.

4. Describe your personality in at least 20 words.
I am very stubborn and strong-willed. I like to do things my own way on my own terms. I'm a little lazy, but not when it comes to school work. I am a little bit of a perfectionist. I work very hard at everything I do. I'll often worry that I did bad on a test, only to find out that I did okay. So, I excessively worry. I'm kind of emotional and very sensitive.

5. Do you smoke/drink/drugs.
No smoking or drugs. I drink occasionally with friends.

6. What is your main health problem & its symptoms.
My main health problem has been the pilonidal cyst, which I have suffered with for more than a year. For the better part of this year, it has been constantly draining blood and pus. It smells really badly. The new developments are the two new openings in addition to the main one that is located just above my anal opening. The two new openings are at the top of my butt, just to the left of my crack. They look like boils and also constantly drain pus and blood.

7. When did this main problem begin.
It began last January. I had no idea what was happening or what was wrong with me. By the time I went to the doctor, the cyst that had formed had burst on its own. I was given antibiotics and the problem seemed to go away for about five months. It started up again after that and has not stopped since.

8. Can you relate any event which caused the problem
About a month before this happened I went snow boarding for the first time. I have never even skiied before, so I wasn't that good at it. I fell a lot. I think this could have triggered the disease. I also worked outside the weeks previous so I was in layered clothing, which the doctor said could have aggravated the situation even more. My mom doesn't think it had anything to do with snowboarding, because she remembers my room smelling before I even went off to college that September, which was six months beforehand. So, maybe I had this for a long time before I really knew what was happening.

9. What makes the main problem better
Nothing really makes it feel better.

10. What makes it worse
It feels much worse at night. Sitting makes it feel worse. I am a sailor, so that always makes it worse. Lately, I am always in pain.

11. How do you feel mentally and emotionally during this problem
Right now, I feel kind of hopeless. It doesn't seem like anything is working for me. I feel like it's ruining my life, and it is.

12. What other health problems do you have
I don't have any other health problems right now. Though, as a child, I had the peanut allergy and asthma, both of which I grew out of. I suffer from eczema, but right now it is dormant. It usually comes on with stress.

13. What makes these other health problems better or worse
Cortisone cream usually makes the eczema clear up right away.

14. What animals or insects are you afraid of
Raccoons and spiders

15. What situations are you afraid of
Heights

16. What occupies your mind mostly
My school work and this problem

18. Do you want to stay alone or with people

Would you consider your skin to be dry, normal or moist.

Normal.

Are the boils painful to touch?

Yes the whole region around the boils is painful. They are very painful to touch. I also have pain inside my butt when I sit.

cg8080 last decade
Please have a dose of Mercurius Solubulis 200c, just one dose and report back.

If you are still on Augmentin, then don't take the remedy unless you are off of it.

fitness last decade
I will have to order it. I'll let you know as soon as I get it. Thank you

cg8080 last decade
Do you think I will need to order anything else? So I have it when I need it?

cg8080 last decade
We may need Sulfur 200c.

You already have Hepar Sulfuris 200c?

fitness last decade
Ok I'll get that too. Do you think I'll have an aggravation again because it's hard when I am at school?

cg8080 last decade
Its very likely that you will have aggravation. You can choose the day when to have it e.g. Thu night or Fri morn.

fitness last decade
Do you think Cal-C is still my constitutional remedy and does this remedy fit me the same way as that one does? I did order it, but I want to be hopeful that it will work. Thank you for reviewing my case again.
