terrible eczema in 2 year old _{Page 9 of 10}

Four days ago.

I have both sulphur and Calcarea Carb in 6x and 12x potency.

It is x.

Hi zady. I followed the above protocol for three days. Today is day five ( yesterday we did not give any homeopathics).

In the first 24 hours her skin cleared a lot and by the end of 72 hours her skin had improved dramatically. Her skin was smooth and looked much better besides her hands ( always last to clear).

What's interesting is that yesterday afternoon her eczema had returned on her ankles, wrists, elbows, and a bit behind knees. Also she is very very itchy. Scratching any chance she gets.

Her skin that has eczema is still a rough, red, VErY dry eczema. No weeping of oozing ever.

Significant other factors:
Constipation is just crazy. She hasn't had a BM since Tuesday. Very unusual for her to have constipation this bad.

Hair. I think its significant that her hair is still thin , stringy, course. Seems as if she is lacking some key nutrients

Still experiencing pretty intense distrust of strangers AND people or animals she 'wasn't expecting' to see. Se will cry and cling to me and say she is scared.

She is quite demanding still. She knows what she wants and will ask or demand it over and over until she gets it

Appetite. Quite a small appetite lately. She craves meat and salt OR carbs/sugar. Her cravings seem out of balance for what her body needs.

She still sweats a ton from her head only after she wakes from naps, not night sleep. She continues to take over an hour to fall asleep at night. Nothing seems to be bothering her, she is just chatting away.

Upon waking in the morning she appears to have slight nasal congestion that always subsides shortly after waking.

We used calc carb 12X twice a day for three days. I will send pics to better exemplify her skin, but I will also describe:

- her skin got markedly worse (though I feel it was moving that direction before beginning the calc carb). It has now spread and is significant on inner elbows, wrists, hand, on her bottom, below bottom, front and back of knees, ankles and now it is also all over the front of her trunk/belly.

- some of the skin (as you will see in the pictures I will send to your email) is the classic very rough, inflamed, itchy, dry. Other patches look more like burns--her skin is not rough in these patches, but the eczema patch in these areas is bright red.

- Going into taking the calc carb she had not had a BM in 72 hours. yesterday evening, 48 hours after starting the calc carb she finally had a BM. She has also two BM's today. the first was dark brown, pebbles, and hard. The second today was mushy and green.

- She has had quite the mood swings lately. in general she is a happy and very feisty, funny, silly kid. But she is also VERY demanding and quick to anger and scream/yell/demand. She can get very agitated if things aren't done her way and quickly. haha.

- A few days ago I noticed that she woke up with her skin looking decent. Within three hours of waking her legs looked like they had been burned. I still wonder if she is 'allergic' to gluten and dairy, but truly cannot make a definitive link.

- today she was outside in the very hot and humid weather. She was playing in a small pool in our front yard in the grass. her eczema got much worse while we were outside.

- and interesting thing: her skin looked horrible today but she didn't itch it and told me today it wasn't itchy. so strange.

- as I look at her eczema history its clear that something associated with summer/heat and/or the elements possibly in the air or grass/leaves/weeds etc. I was talking to my husbands grandma yesterday and she reminded me that at kinley's age he was tested for every allergen under the sun and he came back as being allergic to almost everything non-food related...all outdoor elements and indoor mold/dust/dog hair/ etc. I wonder if this is part of the problem with kinley--that there is so much that she is sensitive too!

I can't think of anything else significant going on currently. I will send pictures right now...

Zady I wanted to add to my post above... She woke up today with the eczema spread even more. It's all over her privates now and the only places she doesn't have it is her back and face and this morning it was incredibly itchy. Thanks!

Update from the arsenic alb for two days...

Her skin has been on a roller coaster the last two days. It went from horrible to seeming to look a bit better, then last night (day 2 of the ars alb) she went outside to play--it was a beautiful and cool day here (in the 70's) and came in a half hour later for bed and looked like she had hives all over her body. bright red, patchy, angry looking patches from head to toe, including back and belly. only place she didn't have it was on her face. Then when she woke up this morning it was slightly improved.

currently she still has patches in all the original places, same severity, but possibly less itchy and bothersome to her. This is a hard update to really describe because her skin seems to be cycling throughout the day in terms of itchiness, amount covered, etc.

I can't think of anything that has changed otherwise except that she is really pushing boundaries and being stubborn and agitated if things aren't exactly her way. It's notable that the last day or so have been very mild in terms of temperatures yet her eczema is still really flairing.

I'm a few days late in updating...I'm so sorry I was very busy with work...

So kinley is still having major skin issues. I feel like while she was taking the arsen alb. it was possibly keeping the eczema from getting much worse, but I wasn't seeing it get much better either. Her skin would cycle throughout the day. In the morning it would appear decent, but within an hour or so it would start flairing again.

Currently she still has very dry, sandpaper-like patches on her ankles, wrists, knees, and elbows. very rough skin, and cut up with scratches from all the itching. it seems no amount of salve I put on it to moisten the skin helps. sooo dry.

She is also still developing what looks like hives almost ( but is eczema I'm sure) on her trunk, sides. and all over her legs. These patches are not the rough dry skin and doesn't seem to have the same intensity of itching...

sleep: she is still sleeping really well and is starting to sleep in up to an hour later then normal.

BM's: in the last two weeks she is back to having semi-regular bowel movements. She is typically going once a day, but sometimes skips a day. But much better.

She has been incredibly, unusually clingy and moody. For one, she is just SO quick to anger and/or cry. If things aren't 'just right' she will have a meltdown that may last up to twenty minutes. She will scream and when the tantrum involves her older sister she will try to bite/hit, etc. This behavior is not condoned in any way so we are working through this.

She is also being very strange with people she even knows well. She tends to gravitate towards women and seems much more weary of men--even her male family members. She will go into hysterics if a person she doesn't know enters a familiar surrounding of hers.

she seems to crave a lot of meat right now. Her appetite is hardy.

She is not drinking too much despite the hot weather.

Her appetite is good. She is eating a lot of food. Much more then you would think a kid her size could eat.

I just looked at her tongue the other day. It's dark pink/ slightly reddish and there is a fine coat of white covering the middle portion of her tongue. Very slight.

Zady, update on kinley...

I was really hoping this remedy would work. unfortunately she is still really bothered by her eczema. Here is the rundown.

- I did not notice a big improvement (or much improvement at all) in her skin.

- she has constantly had the sandpaper skin (that's exactly what it looks and feels like) on her ankles, wrists, knees, elbows, hands.

- her skin is doing some crazy stuff. in the morning her skin, other then that mentioned above, will be fairly smooth and virtually eczema and/or hive free. But within a few hours every day her skin on her arms legs, and now chest back of legs and butt looks like she has hives on them. The skin isn't dry and rough, it's raised and red/inflamed and itchy and painful. She will have large patches and small dots all over her body besides her face. The amount of eczema/and what really looks like hives is getting much worse.

Here is an example of why I feel like there are hives. yesterday she woke from a nap looking pretty good skin-wise. We went to the park where it was hot and she rolled around in the grass. We then went to dinner where she ate spaghetti. within two minutes of touching the spaghetti her hands had hives on them. I looked on her legs and her legs were covered (but I think this started at the park). she will cry and cry that they hurt. today she woke up with bloody legs from scratching.

She is generally in a good mood but today woke up in a terrible mood, crying and clinging.

I noticed that her cheeks have little broken blood vessels on it and she has had two small nosebleeds this week.

She is craving large amounts of animal protein--maybe the iron or b vitamins?

Her skin is very, very pale despite our family having more olive-toned skin.

no matter how much lotion of salve I put on her dry skin spots it absolutely will not retain moisture. so strange.

Hi zady, I'm having a panic day. Met a mom who's ten year old had eczema as bad as Kinley. She said to me 'you know the eczema eventually manifests into other conditions. Your daughter will get asthma I'm sure'. Not what I needed to hear.

I feel like I'm missing something. Do I need to focus more on her diet and healing her gut? Her eczema is still unchanged from pulsatilla and is very bad. I have new pictures I will post to your email. She is still incredibly clingy. Doesn't want me out of her site. Cries for me easily. And she is almost three--very clingy behavior to me!!
