Recurrent bronchitis in a child Page 2 of 13

This is just a forum. Assume posts are not from medical professionals.
I'd say give it a week. If there is any problem during this time, please let me know.

You are welcome.

Hi! I took my daughter to an ENT specialist. It is now officially confirmed that she has an enlarged third tonsil. The physician prescribed nose drops and antihistamine medicine and even talked about considering surgery to remove it. I will wait for the time being and try homeopathy first. She is not on any medications currently. Will get back to you in a couple of days.

Good.

It's been a week since my daughter last took any medicine. What do I do now?

salihnel last decade
How is she doing now regarding all her symptoms.

fitness last decade
She is healthy now, no cough or running nose. No lesions of atopic dermatitis. Mouth breathing, snoring at night, nasal speech remain.

I believe the remedy is Silicea Terra 200c.

Please take two doses 12 hrs apart. Just two doses. Not daily.

One dose is one pill. Dissolve the pill under the tongue.

First dose: At night before sleeping.

Second dose: 12 hrs after the first dose.

Report back with changes observed.

Don't take any other dose without me telling to do so.

What would be the dose if the remedy is in liquid form?
It will take me a couple of days to receive it.

salihnel last decade
If liquid remedy, put one drop of the remedy in half glass of water, stir and take one tea spoon from it. That’s one dose. Use the same mixture for subsequent doses, if required. Don’t refrigerate the mixture. Put it anywhere covered, away from direct sunlight.

OK,thank you!

I gave my daughter one dose on Tuesday evening, and then one dose on Wednesday morning, 12 hrs apart. The homeopathic drugstore had the remedy in granules only, so I gave her 2 granules as one dose, I hope I did not do anything wrong. I'm trying really hard to detect any changes in her behavior or mood, but I find her the same. She has been attending kindergarten since Monday. Her health condition is the same, she is healthy overall, only continues to snore at night and sleep with her mouth open.

salihnel last decade
You did right.

Now we just wait and see for two weeks, if any changes occur in between, please let me know.

Cough appeared yesterday evening, dry, she vomited once. She slept calmly at night. In the morning, her voice was changed, kind of laryngeal, the cough comes from the throat, I can hear that there is sputum. Her throat is pink, tonsils are not swollen. She says she has a sore throat. The nose is blocked but no discharge. No fever. She wants to drink cold water, she has appetite. She is calm. What do I do?

salihnel last decade
Consider Pulsatilla.

Thank you, Dr. Zady, for your advise. I will wait to hear the opinion of fitness also, because he has been dealing with our case. I would be happy if you two could agree on our remedy, because I'm not a specialist in homepathy. By the way, as the day progressed, she coughs less frequently.

salihnel last decade
Salihnel: Pulsatilla was a suggestion given to Singleremedy/Fitness only. As prescribers on this forum, we do exchange opinions.

OK, I will.

Does anyone have an idea why all posts of Fitness have disappeared?

salihnel last decade
Thanks!

Fitness made some very good posts. However, he also made some offensive remarks, which can't be tolerated, or the forum fills with spite and bile.

Simone, I wasn't planning to interfere, but I have to make it clear that I was informed by Fitness himself about his new profile even before you mentioned it in your post. So I don't feel that I am a target of any 'deception'. As for diplomas, I took my child to two homeopaths who hang their diplomas on the wall in their offices, but both have failed. The first one, who is also an MD, even 'helped' her get bronchiolitis. I am aware that in this forum I may be getting replies from people without diplomas. It is my choice.

Now, I will update my daughter's condition:
she started coughing a lot and sniffling last night as she got into bed, and this continued all night and in the morning. Her nose is blocked, a little discharge appeared, white/slighlty yellow, then it was only white. She is in good mood, diseases usually don't stop her from running and shouting, unless she has fever which now she doesn't have.

salihnel,

I was only addressing the larger picture of people who come
on the forum everyday and of course can click on a
poster's name and see their profile and get an idea
of who they are talking to for health advice. If one,
puts in their profile that they are a classical homeopath,
most people think that person is certified or has a real
practice. It is everyone's choice but one cannot make
a truly informed choice without accurate information. If
one says, I am a classical homeopath ( self taught) that
is a truthful description.

Fitness has helped a lot of people on here, I am not
questioning his knowledge or ability. Good luck with
your treatment.

Thank you, Simone!

Update: the cough was almost gone last night, her sleep was undisturbed until 6.00 a.m. when she woke up coughing, kind of loose, she fell back to sleep but went on coughing a lot until 8.00 a.m. Also had some periods of prolonged expiration which, according to the allergologist, is usually a sign of bronchospasm. Nose blocked, very little discharge, white. No appetite. Good mood.

P.S. I've heard her cough only once in the last couple of hours.
