Recurrent bronchitis in a child Page 5 of 13

This is just a forum. Assume posts are not from medical professionals.
All the remaining symptoms should yield within 2-3 months if not earlier as they are all linked.

The improvement in nails will be evident in around 3 months as this is how long the body takes to replace the nails. The improvement should be evident at the base of the nails about now.

Hello! My daughter started sneezing and sniffling a lot last night, her nose is blocked and there is clear nasal discharge. Shall I give her something or wait for other symptoms? I checked her throat, it seems normal in color.

salihnel last decade
How many days has it been since the last dose and how are her other symptoms.

fitness last decade
She took the last dose 11 days ago. The atopic lesions are starting to disappear, she doesn't feel itchy, there is no cough or sore throat, no changes in teeth coloring and toenails.

Give her one dose, just one dose and report back.

I gave her one dose yesterday before bedtime. Her cough intensified. She woke up at night with barking cough, restless, trying to take a breath. I handled this without any medications. Today she coughs more frequently than yesterday, perhaps several times per hour, the cough is still laryngeal. The nasal discharge is a little bit thicker. Her lips are dry, especially the upper one. Good appetite and energy level.

As long as per mood, energy & appetite are fine it means her body is handling it well and no medicinal intervention is required.

If you have manuka honey, a mixture of half glass warm water with one tea spoon manuka honey to be sipped slowly will soothe her a lot. If manuka isn't available, regular organic honey will suffice. A simple rule, the darker the honey, the healthier it is.

In which part of the world are you.

I'm from SE Europe. I haven't heard of this type of honey but I do give her organic honey and tea whenever she has cough.

She has fever now - it's 37.7 C, she said she's cold and asked me to cover her with two blankets, then she slept for about an hour. Red cheeks, dry lips, warm hands, the temperature of her feet is normal. She's not thirsty, refuses to eat or drink anything. Shall I repeat the dose?

If you can get Arsenicum Album 200c that would be great, otherwise get 30c and give a dose asap and report back.

I am on East coast in US so we will have time difference before I can respond.

I hope she is well soon.

She had two episodes of fever - one yesterday evening and then another one at about 4 a.m., it reached approx. 38C. In between these episodes her energy level was good and she wanted to eat. I gave her Arsenicum Albim 30 CH in the morning - probably 3 hours ago. There has been no fever for about 10 hours, there's the blocked nose and nasal discharge which has become thicker and yellow, she sniffles a lot, coughs occasionally.

Repeat one dose of Ars Alb after 12 hrs or earlier if fever comes back.

Keep her well hydrated and keep me posted.

Hi! I repeated the dose of Arsenicum Album in 9-10 hours after the first one because she had fever. Fever lasted for about 8 hours after the second dose (38.5-39 C) so I gave her half a dose Ibuprofen. Her cough got worse and in the morning she woke up with bronchitis. She refuses to eat or drink anything, I'm offering her little water and juice from time to time. She has alternating episodes of feeling chilly and hot, and she sniffles like 20 times per minute.

We need Ars Alb in 200c. Anyways.

Lets try liquid dose of Ars Alb 30c as follows:

Plussed Dose:
Dissolve one pill of the remedy (or one drop if remedy is in liquid form) in half glass of water. Stir and take one tea spoon. That’s one dose. For the next dose, stir the mixture and take another tea spoon. Keep using the same mixture for every subsequent dose. Stirring everytime before taking the teaspoon of dose. If available, add a tablespoon of vodka as a preservative to it. Don’t refrigerate, cover the glass and put somewhere away from direct sunlight.

Give her plussed dose thrice a day till all the symptoms get better and the fever gets under control. If things start worsening then stop the dosing.

Hi! I did as you told me and I gave her a dose of the remedy twice. During the night she was was breathing fast while asleep and in the morning I took her to a physician for check-up and she discovered puss on her tonsils again. So I gave my daughter antibiotic, I may have been wrong but it felt the right thing to do at the moment since there was no improvement after Arsenicum Album. She's been on antibiotic and cough syrup for two days now. Could it be that homeopahty doesn't always work for some people, or perhaps I don't have the patience to wait (though I think I'm trying really hard)?

You did right.

When I didn't heat back it got me wondering what was going on.

A forum is not the right setting for managing cases that require daily or more frequent follow up. To top it all, lack of availability of the remedies adds to the difficulty.

Let me know once she is better.

fitness last decade
She is much better now but I have to finish the course with antibiotic in about 5 days. I'll get back to you then. I have to say that her pants wetting issue has not occurred for about 10 days. Thanks for helping!

salihnel last decade
Since it's her last day of antibiotics, I was wondering if classical hoemopathy prescribes something after a course with antibiotics. I know that Boiron homeopaths here recommend two remedies to be taken on alternate days. She's not 100% healthy, there are still single crackling sounds heard in her chest and deep loose cough which is now very rare. Her nose is still blocked. Can you recommend something? Thanks.
