Sulphur was tried little while back, so not a good idea to go to Lycopodium right now. (Cannot be given after Sulph).

Describe the symptoms in more detail please.

The main symptom is irritation. He seems irritated at us all the time almost. If I look at him or try to say something to him he is very irritated. Seems worse in the mornings and in the afternoons.

He can also be very critical towards the familymembers, find fault with everything we do or say. And comments it often.

He is bossy, and dictatorical in his voice and tone. Doesn´t listen to anything we say to him. It´s like he think that he is the parent almost. Almost like we should obey him otherwise he gets angry.

Is very picky with food. There is always something wrong with the food. Prefers sweet and junkfood.

But he is quite calm and closed. Stays mostly in his room when at home.

I cannot see any more symptoms Sameer. Maybe we should wait a while and see if some more comes up...

Just curious, if lycopodium is the simillum why can´t we give him that after sulphur. What would happen?

Best wishes Pia

The only way to give Lyc after Sulph is to go via a dose of Calcarea Carb. Lyc after Sulph is something we call 'inimical', and can result in bad aggravations for the case overall.

I am wary of Calc, as it is a main anti-dote to Lachesis which has given him so much benefit.

What potency of Lachesis did he get last ?

Give a dose of Lachesis LM9.

1 drop in 500 ml, and 1 spoon.

Report in 5 days.

Hi Sameer,

6 days after the lachesis dose.

The lachesis gave much relief to him. The response is so far amazing Sameer. He has completely changed after this dose to a happy and smiling state. He seems full of energy and is out playing with his friends instead of just sitting in his room like before. He is nice to everyone and it´s a pleasure for us all.

Thankyou so much!

Best wishes Pia

Good stuff. Let us wait and watch. :)

Hi Sameer,
He is getting more irritated now. It started yesterday and today it´s worse. He is also a bit rude.

Is it time for another dose?
10 succussions and 3 drops?

Best wishes Pia

10 sucussions, and 1 drop, every 7th day.

sameervermani last decade
Hi Sameer,
The response is not so good after the last 2 doses. He has come out of the depressive and passive state but is instead geting angry very quick, regrets afterwards and ask for forgiveness. But cannot control his temper, it changes quickly. He is more intense and reactive, is actually showing more of a lachesis behaviour. But he is quite nice and soft in between.

Something must be wrong, I guess. Is there any chance that he may need phosphorus. We have not tried it...

Best wishes Pia

Please form a fresh list, and let me analyze again from scratch.

sameervermani last decade
-sensitive to everything smell, noise, touch, taste
-also emotionally sensitive, overreacts when someone say something, gets upset with the least thing and often gets angry then. Very sensitive to what the teachers say or do to him in school.
-ask for forgiveness after he was angry, mood changes fast
-jeaolusy, irritability and anger against his sibling
-quite open and a bit exciteable the last week
-talks more openly about what he feels than before
-cannot tolerate being touched
-quite soft and nice behaviour in general, sympathetic
-obstinacy, strongly fixed ideas
-can come into a deep morose state where he is inconsolable, just sitting in his room, not responding to anything we say to him (but not the last week). But on the other hand consolation ameliorates and that is when I really show him that I´m on his side. For example against his teachers, he is constantly in conflict with them and he likes when I understand him and we talk about how difficult it is in school. Then he gets very happy and released. I get a feeling that he feels all alone in the world, it´s him against the universe...
-change his clothes several times in the morning, irresoluteness.
-important with his outfit and how he looks, likes to wear bright colours
-difficulty falling asleep
-blush easily
-the teachers say that he is mature for his age and is very social and verbal. He is always honest and if he has done something wrong he stands up for it and asks for forgiveness.
-there is some kind of innocence, he says exactly what he feels and what he thinks without any concern of who is listening...
-lazy
-forgetful
-difficult to listen when the teacher talks, cannot understand instructions
-cannot organize or plan his schoolwork at all, he doesn´t understand what he is supposed to do in school, confused in mind
-hates when you ask him questions, just answer 'I don´t know' it´s like he cannot think

Please go to Sulphur LM3, one dose a day for 3 days from a 30 ml bottle.

3 drops in 250 ml, and 1 spoon from there. 10 hits starting second dose.

sameervermani last decade
Hi Sameer,
I have given him 3 doses sulphur lm 4 on 25/11, 26/11 , 27/11 and also one dose 2/12 and one dose 7/12...

I am not sure about the effect. Maybe he is a bit more positive and in a better mood but he gets angry very easily, flames up in a second...he is also rather excited and restless, talkative and noisy...

I´m thinking that if it was the right remedy the effect would be stronger...

What do you think Sameer?

Best wishes Pia

Tintintin last decade
As he also craves ice-cold drinks, like milk...I´m thinking about phophor again...

Tintintin last decade
'he gets angry very easily, flames up in a second...he is also rather excited and restless, talkative and noisy... '

Please expand on this further.

sameervermani last decade
Well, in general he is quite positive and in a good mood now but the least provocation makes him quickly angry. He gets upset with trifles, for example his recharger to his cellphone didn´t work yesterday and this upset him very much, he got anxious and if you say something wrong at that moment then he gets angry. But it´s only for some minutes and then he calmes down again.

Also he has this thing with money, if he has some money he must spend them. He said yesterday when he had spent his last money that it felt good cause now he can relax. Every time I have money it goes around in my head what I should buy for them. He gets anxious if he has some money...

He is easily excited and restless. He cannot sit in a chair at school, he lies on the school desk or walking around in the class room.

It´s not like he make strange noises it´s more like using a loud voice...

The attention span is extremely short, a few minutes he can concentrate on one thing. Everything disturbs him.

He wants to be very good at things, like in school, but cannot put the effort needed...

Best wishes Pia

Hi Pia,

Did we ever give him Veratrum Album ?

Sameer

sameervermani last decade
Yes, we did in march this year, no effect!

It´s just that I have read about phosphor in Herscue´s book 'The homeopathic treatment of children' and also Bailey P. M. 'Homeopathic psychology' and there are so many similarities. The rubrics in the chapter about phosphor are extroverted, openness, expressiveness, center of attention, excitability, leadership, anticipation anxiety, generosity, curiosity, distractibility, weepiness, aesthetics, fears and he used to be exactly like this when he was younger. I may be wrong, have been it many times before....;)

I see more of the 'old Felix' now and some layers have definitely disappeared and I suspect that we are at the phosphorus layer now...

As I said he craves cold drinks, is very thirsty... has vertigo...

He is more symphathetic in between like he used to bee long time ago...

I really would like to try phophor lm 1 if it is okay with you...?

Unless no other remedy strongly is coming up?

Best wishes Pia

Please go ahead with Phos LM1 then :)

Just a point I would like to make about some remedy pictures, regarding some of the characteristics often given as being indicitive.

A remedy matches a disease state - the only things that matter when matching a remedy to a patient is the negative qualities not the positive ones. The intention is to cure those features.

A remedy like Phosphorous is a prime example of healthy positive characteristics being mistaken for disease signs. The following features are not signs of illness and should never be included as reasons for prescribing a remedy:

Expressive
Generous
Aesthetics (artistic)
Curious
Sympathetic

In fact these are things you would hope to see appearing or strengthening as patients get well.

The problem that phosphorous suits is where some of these healthy characteristics are exaggerated into a disease state. Phosphorous is TOO open, he has poor or no boundaries and therefore feels others pain too strongly. He is overexcitable and cannot control his emotions. He is so generous he will give everything he owns away, give all his attention and energy to someone else, exhausting himself in the process. He is too curious, getting himself into dangerous situations. He is too trusting, putting himself at risk.

Any healthy person should be expressive, generous, creative, sympathetic. Even unhealthy people may display these characteristics, because their disease affects them in other aspects of their charcter. You would only be looking at the unhealthy features to make a prescription.

I used to see students prescribing Phosphorous to far too many patients because they did not understand the difference between a healthy and an unhealthy characteristic.

I have given him phosphor about every 5th day and the first 2 weeks I thought that he was improving. He was calmer and looked happier but after that he started to get worse again...Like he was before the sulphur...quiet, stays in his room in bed with computer, closed, tired, doesn´t answer when spoken to, passive, irritated...low appetite, difficult to fall asleep, difficult to get up in the morning, vertigo when arising, weakness, headache, seems very unhappy...big red acne all over his face, smells terrible and look very unhealthy, pale and dirty, very egoistical, doesn´t care about anyone else but himself, cannot remember things, seems stupid when talked to, difficult to think...

He has his moments of energy when he goes on about stuff he is passionate about like snowboard but mostly he is dull and tired.

I´m thinking that the improvement were due to the sulphur you prescribed in december and that this has been relapsing slowly....He is very sulphurlike now...but I wish you could see by yourself cause I seem to mess it up...

Phosphor was a big mistake :(

Best wishes Pia

Please go to Sulphur LM5, 2 drops in 250 ml, and 1 spoon from there.

Report in 5 days after this dose.

Day 1: better mood after some hours, severe nosebleed at night
Day 2-3: Very tired, fell asleep very early in the evening - unusual!
Day 4-5: Flulike condition with high fever, headache, pain in body - joints, severe nosebleed at night - it won´t stop!
Today: a little better but still ill, cough and nosebleed several times a day...

Mentally he is in not in especially good mood but it´s hard to tell cause he is quite weak of the flu...

I don´t know if this is due to sulphur Sameer or if it´s just a flu who hit him...

But anyway if it is the sulphur I think it´s time for a new dose now...what do you think?

Best wishes Pia
